Starting the system
- 1 On the «Timer»
- Switch ON in pressing «On/Off» during a few seconds.
- The «Timer» make a beep sound.
- The «Timer» must display « att Good» during several seconds.
- Connect the antenna on the device.
- The letters «CH» are displayed on the top left.
- Select your transmitting channel in scrolling with the numbers thanks to the arrows «←» and
«→» blue then press on «ENTER/TEST».
- ATTENTION : Do not transmitt on the same channel as another team.
If another team trains in the vicinity, talk together and make sure you do not disturb each other (there are
up to 32 available channels).
- 2 Synchronisation of the «Start Gate» and of «the photocells»
- This synchronisation are carried out by radio.
- Switch ON the «Start Gate » in pressing «On/Off» for several seconds.
- The batteries must be in good state.
- The devices beeps and displays «Good».
- Connect the antenna on the device.
- The device beeps several times and displays « Sync ».
- Do not switch OFF the « Start Gate » until the end of the training.
- On the « Timer » :
- In pressing succesively on the key « Mode », get the message « Sync » in the top left window.
- Select «START» with the horizontal red arrows.
- Press on the key «ENTER/TEST».
- The synchronisation starts: dash signs scroll on the bottom display and the devices beep.
- The synchronisation is completed once the dash signs stopped scrolling and once the devices
stopped beeping.
- Start the photocell « Receiver » in pressing «On/Off» during several seconds.
- The device beeps.
- Do not stop the « Receiver » until the end of the training.
- Start the photocell « Transmitter », install and align both « Transmitter » and « Receiver».
- On the « Timer» :
- In pressing succesively on the key « Mode », get the message « Sync » in the top left window.
For a photocell Intermediate :
- Select «SPLIT » with the horizontal red arrows.
For a photocell Finish :
- Select «FINISH» with the horizontal red arrows.
- Press on the key «ENTER/TEST».
- The synchronisation starts : dash signs scroll on the bottom display and the devices beep.
- The synchronisation is completed once the dash signs stopped scrolling and once the devices
stopped beeping.

The system is ready for the timing.
Do not forget to switch off each device before the end of the training.
Timing
1- At Start,
- The «Start gate» is closed
- On the « Start Gate», the racer enters his bib number and press «Enter».
- On the «Start Gate» 3 dash signs are displayed.
- The racer starts in opening the «Start Gate».
2- On the « Timer» after a few seconds, the bib number and his running time is displayed.
3- When the racer crosses the finish line, the « Photocell » detects the crossing.
4- After a few seconds, the « Timer » displays the net time of the racer (limited to 99 secondes).
5- If a racer is DNF, use the key «DNF» to enter the information in the « Timer ».
Note :
- Several Timing programms are available. Read page 9 to 12 of the rower manual.
- The most simple timing programm for training the the number 1 FIFO (First In, First Out).
The racers have to finish in the start order.
Time analysis
- The bib numbers are found in the left windows.
- The net time of the racers are found in the right windows next to their bib number.
- It is possible to look at all the net times in using the blue arrows «↑» and «↓».
- The timer memorizes 499 net times. Then the memory is full. The Timer will continue to display the
times but they will no longer be memorized.
- To empty the memory, press on the key «CLEAR» of the « Timer» during 5 seconds approximately.
Maintenance of the system
- It is advisable to proceed to a calibration of the devices at each start of the season.
A new system does not need to be calibrated.
- As soon as a device indicates that batteries are low, it is necessary to replace them immediately.
