INTRODUCTION
Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to
minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.
Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available
before starting installation.
Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form
of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated
steps.
In the event of any problems with the instructions or the
accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Some steps in these installation instructions are presented
with illustration only.

Take the adapter cable marked A from the kit and connect the
large connector to the receiver.
Secure the loose connectors with their clips in the holes
respectively edges in the bracket.

Insert the two legs of the bracket in the corresponding recesses
in the backrest bracket and lower it over the retaining pin in the
floor.

Tighten the bracket using plastic nuts from the kit.
Connect the pre-routed wiring for power supply, fibre-optics and
the two antenna cables to the receiver. The pre-routed cables
are located under the insulation close to the location for the
bracket.

Download software for DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) according
to the service information in VIDA.

Note!
On cars with subwoofers, a fibre-optic adapter cable (marked
B in the kit) is required to connect to the DAB receiver.

Fold up the luggage compartment floor.
Disconnect it from the mountings at the front edge.
Pull out the luggage compartment floor and the storage box
slightly to access the area behind the backrest.
Note!
Note the luggage compartment floor's gas strut.

Remove the rear plastic nuts for the subwoofer.
Fold the backrest forward.

Remove the screw from the right- hand mounting.

Take the adapter cable marked A from the kit and connect the
large connector to the receiver.

respectively edges in the bracket.

Install the DAB unit with bracket on the reverse of the rear
backrest.
Install the screws and tighten to 10 Nm (7.5 lbf.ft.).
