⚫This operation manual explains the use and essential part of the patient monitor.
This manual should be located with the patient monitor.
⚫To ensure safety operating and long-term performance stability, it is essential that
you fully understand the functions, operating and maintenance.
Read operating manual carefully before using.
⚫Please keep the right ways of operation for the best performance and the safety of
the users and patients.
⚫Some symbols are used in this manual to help users or patients use this product
safely and appropriately and to prevent any risk to patients or damage to materials.
⚫Please read and understand all warnings and precautions.
⚫This sign means WARNING. If you ignore this sign, you may have the critical
damage to the patients including scar, death and the property. Please refer to the
supplied manual very carefully.
⚫This sign means CAUTION. You may have the damage to the patients even
though it is not critical damage to the life of the patients. Please refer to the supplied
manual very carefully.
⚫This sign means NOTE. NOTE inform you the important factors like installation,
operation and maintenance.
⚫You cannot have the warranty service if the trouble happens with the accessories,
consumables, parts manufactured by other companies.
⚫The manufacturer is responsible for the safety and reliability results of this product
only in the following cases.
⚫Only when the operation of the part, up-grade, readjustment, revision or repair
done by the authorized engineer of VOTEM.

The Purpose of the Manual
The manual provides you with the instructions on how to use the patient monitor with safety,
function and purposes.
Please locate the manual within the place you can reach easily for the reconfirmation of the
function.
Order for the Manual
The operational manual shall be provided upon your request. You may call the distributor in
your area and ask the operational manual.
The Drawing and Names
All drawings on this manual are explained as sample cases. The drawings may be different
by the setting of Monitoring and Data displayed on the screen.

3. Safety Information
General Safety Information
Please read the operational carefully before use. Checking the sensors and the marked
parts are essential process before starting the operation. You are asked to check the
surroundings of the units before the operation whether there are any harmful things.
Warnings
The sign means WARING of the harmful elements during the operation.
Please read the operational before the operation because the warning signs on the cautious
factors to influence the big damage to the patients or leading the patient to the death in
serious cases.
WARNING
Do not place the patient monitor with the chemical materials or explosive gas environments.
It is very dangerous.
WARNING
Please be careful when using the device in a place where a fire occurs or in a high temperature
room, as there is a danger of battery explosion.
WARNING
Please do not disassemble the patient monitors. The manufacturer is free from the
responsibility if something happens.
WARNING
Connect the main power ONLY after, when you totally completed the installation of the units.
If not, the main unit shall have critical damages.
WARNING
Please read this manual with before using and check the sensors and setting. Please allow
only the persons who are authorized with full knowledge on the Patient Monitors.

Use of this product is prohibited during MRI photographing. A fire may breakout from the
induced current, and the accuracy of the product and the MRI may be influenced by cross
interference.
WARNING
When the product has been moved, make sure to turn it off and arrange the accessories in
order. Injured cords or cables may cause fire or electric shock.
WARNING
Recommendation: Regular Check should be done for the normal function.
WARNING
One patient monitor should be connected with one patient. (Do not connect one patient
monitor with two patients.)
WARNING
Do not place the patient monitor with the high humidity surroundings.
WARNING
Do not operate the patient monitor with wet hands because it is very dangerous.
WARNING
Do not place the patient monitor under the direct sun lights.
WARNING
Do not place the patient monitor in the place of the wide change of temperature. The
temperature should be between 10C to 35C. The humidity should be between 30% to 85%.
WARNING
Do not use the patient monitor near the heating instruments.
WARNING
Do not use the patient monitor in the place of extremely high humidity or trouble with
ventilation.

Does not use under the surroundings of high shock or high vibration shock.
WARNING
Please be careful to protect the patient monitor from dust or metal materials.
WARNING
Do not give shock or move the patient monitor when the main electric power is connected.
It may cause any damage to the patient and malfunction of the operation.
WARNING
VOTEM Co., Ltd supplies on the optional items and accessories which are passed with the
regulation of electronic safety. If you use the other products or the unproved additional items,
it may cause damage to the patient or the patient monitors.
WARNING
If the battery is shocked or damaged, the internal circuitry may break, resulting in a battery
explosion. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by neglected battery
management.
WARNING
Do not touch metallic objects or contact with the terminals of the battery pack and the
charging terminals with wet hands. It is very dangerous due to electric shock and product
short circuit.
WARNING
In case of battery trouble, please disconnect the AC cable immediately. You may consult with
Votem Technical Supporting Center or the distributor in your region.

can be happen due to the other products with high frequency or surroundings.
The patient monitor may wrongly calculate the measured value, do not erase the present
measured value, has the noise signals. If you have the same trouble several times, you may

When the patient is with the pace maker inside of the body, the specialized person with good
knowledge should supervise all process of monitoring the patient very carefully.

After cleaning the patient monitor, please carefully check the main unit and sensors. Do not

VM15 can be used alongside with defibrillator while the accuracy of the product may be
fallen in a short time. Check the accessories and symbols available before using the
