GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the back of
the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen
the screw.
3. Install 1 new ‘AAA’ (AM-4/LR03)
battery following the diagram inside
the battery box. (The use of a new
alkaline battery is recommended for
maximum performance.)
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten
the screw to secure.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF/VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF/
VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH to the
LOW VOLUME ( ) or the HIGH
VOLUME ( ) position. To turn the
unit OFF, slide the ON/OFF/VOLUME
CONTROL SWITCH to the OFF ( )
position.
2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the Peek & Play Baby Book™will
automatically power-down after approximately 30 seconds without
input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button.
Note: If the unit repeatedly powers down or the light ashes
three times then powers down, we suggest changing the battery.
3. LINK
The LINK can be used to attach the
VTech®Peek & Play Baby Book™
to strollers, car carriers and more.To
prevent strangulation, please do not
use additional links to form a loop or
longchain.Donotattachlinksacross
a playpen or crib.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the on/off/volume control switch
to turn the unit on. You will hear a song
and a playful phrase.The light will flash
with the sound.

2. Press the light-up music button to
hear a song, a melody or a fun phrase.
When a melody is playing, press one of
the animal buttons to hear fun sounds
play over the melody.The light will flash

animal names, colors, playful songs and
fun sounds. The light will flash with the
sound.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow
thesesteps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new
batteries.

Avec Baby livre à surprises de VTech®.Bébé part à la découverte des
animaux, des objets et des couleurs.En tournant les pages, il découvre
également plusieurs activités ainsi que différentes matières pour éveiller
sa curiosité et stimuler son sens du toucher. De nombreuses mélodies

aiguilles d’une montre.

1. ALIMENTATION
1.1. INSTALLATION DES PILES
1. Avant d’insérer les piles, s’assurer que
le jouet est éteint.
2. Ouvrir le compartiment à piles situé
sous Baby livre à surprises à l’aide
d’un tournevis.
3. Insérer 1 piles LR03/AAA en
respectant le schéma qui se trouve
dans le compartiment à piles.
4. Refermer soigneusement le couvercle
du compartiment à piles et s’assurer
que la vis est bien serrée.
1.2. MISE EN GARDE
Les piles fournies avec le produit permettent de tester le jouet en
magasin mais ne sont pas des piles longue durée.
• Seules des piles du type recommandé au point précédent doivent
être utilisées.
• Ne pas mélanger différents types de piles ou d’accumulateurs,
ne pas mélanger des piles ou des accumulateurs neufs avec des
usagés.
• Ne pas utiliser des piles ou des accumulateurs endommagés.
• Mettre en place les piles ou les accumulateurs en respectant les
polarités + et –.
• Ne pas mettre les bornes d’une pile ou d’un accumulateur en court-
circuit (en reliant directement le + et le –).
• Enlever les piles ou les accumulateurs usagés du jouet.
• Retirer les piles ou les accumulateurs en cas de non-utilisation
prolongée.
• Ne les jeter ni au feu ni dans la nature.
• Ne pas tenter de recharger des piles non rechargeables.
• Enlever les accumulateurs du jouet pour les recharger.
• Les accumulateurs ne doivent être chargés que sous la surveillance
d’un adulte.

2. FONCTIONNALITÉS
1. CURSEUR MARCHE/ARRÊT/RÉGLAGE DU
VOLUME SONORE
Pour allumer le jouet, déplacer le
curseur Marche/Arrêt/Réglage du
volume sonore sur la position pour
un volume faible ou sur la position
pour un volume fort. Pour éteindre
le jouet, déplacer le curseur Marche/
Arrêt/Réglage du volume sonore sur la
position .
2. ARRÊT AUTOMATIQUE
Si le jouet n’est pas activé pendant quelques secondes, Baby livre
à surprises s’éteint automatiquement.Pour réactiver le jouet, il suffit
d’appuyer sur n’importe quel bouton.
Note : Si l’arrêt automatique survient trop rapidement ou si
le jouet clignote trois fois avant de s’éteindre, nous vous
conseillons de changer les piles.
3. ANNEAU D’ATTACHE
L’anneau d’attache permet d’accrocher
le livre à la poussette, au lit ou encore
au siège auto.
Pour éviter tout risque d’étranglement,
ne pas utiliser de liens supplémentaires
susceptibles de former une boucle ou
une longue chaîne. Ne pas attacher
d’anneau ou de lien en travers d’un parc
ou d’un berceau.
3. ACTIVITÉS
1. Déplacer le curseur Marche/Arrêt/
Réglage du volume sonore sur la
position Marche. Vous entendez une
chanson, une phrase et des sons
amusants. La lumière clignote en
rythme avec les sons.

2. Appuyer sur le bouton Musique
lumineux pour entendre des chansons,
des mélodies ou une phrase amusante.
Lorsqu’une mélodie est jouée, appuyer
une seconde fois sur le bouton Musique
pour superposer des sons rigolos.
3. Appuyer sur les boutons Animaux pour
découvrir les animaux, les objets, les
couleurs et des chansons. La lumière
clignote au rythme des sons.

6. ENTRETIEN
• Ne pas mettre le jouet dans une machine à laver. Baby livre à
surprises est lavable uniquement en surface.
• Pour nettoyer Baby livre à surprises, utiliser un linge légèrement
humide. Ne pas utiliser de solvants ni de produits corrosifs.
• Éviter toute exposition prolongée de Baby livre à surprises au
soleil ou à toute autre source de chaleur.
• Entreposer Baby livre à surprises dans un endroit sec.
• Ce jouet est fabriqué avec des matériaux résistants. Néanmoins,
lui éviter les chocs contre des surfaces dures.
