1 Veiligheid
Algemene veiligheidsvoorschriften
• Lees en begrijp alle instructies. Het niet naleven van deze instructies kan tot ernstig letsel of materiële schade leiden.
• De waarschuwingen en instructies in deze handleiding kunnen niet alle mogelijke omstandigheden of situaties behandelen
die zich kunnen voordoen. Oefen gezond verstand en voorzichtigheid uit bij het gebruik van dit apparaat. Wees u altijd
bewust van het milieu en zorg ervoor dat het apparaat op een veilige en verantwoorde manier wordt gebruikt.
• Sta personen niet toe het product te bedienen of te monteren voordat zij deze handleiding hebben gelezen en een grondig
begrip van de werking ervan ontwikkeld hebben.
• Wijzig dit product op geen enkele wijze. Ongeoorloofde wijzigingen kunnen de werking en/of veiligheid in gevaar
brengen en de levensduur van het product beïnvloeden. Er zijn specieke toepassingen waarvoor het product is ontworpen.
• Gebruik het juiste gereedschap voor het werk. Probeer kleine apparatuur niet te dwingen om het werk van grotere
industriële apparatuur te doen. Er zijn bepaalde toepassingen waarvoor deze apparatuur is ontworpen. Dit product zal
veiliger zijn en beter werken op de capaciteit waarvoor het bedoeld was. Gebruik deze apparatuur niet voor een doel
waarvoor deze niet geschikt is.
• Industriële of commerciële toepassingen moeten voldoen aan de OSHA vereisten.
Veiligheid op de werkplek
• Inspecteer de werkplek voor elk gebruik. Houd de werkplek schoon, droog, vrij van rommel en goed verlicht. Rommelige,
natte of donkere werkgebieden kunnen tot letsels leiden. Het gebruik van het product in krappe ruimtes kan tot gevaarlijke
situaties in de buurt van snijgereedschappen en roterende onderdelen leiden.
• Gebruik het product niet als er gevaar bestaat voor brand of een explosie, bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid van
brandbare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Het product kan vonken veroorzaken, die de ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof
kunnen doen ontbranden.
• Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt van de werkplek tijdens het gebruik van het apparaat. Laat kinderen niet met het
product omgaan.
• Houd rekening met alle elektrische leidingen, elektrische circuits, waterleidingen en andere mechanische risico’s in uw
werkgebied. Sommige van deze gevaren kunnen aan het zicht onttrokken zijn en kunnen materiële of lichamelijke schade
veroorzaken in geval van contact.
Persoonlijke veiligheid
• Blijf alert, let op wat u aan het doen bent en gebruik gezond verstand bij het bedienen van de apparatuur. Gebruik het
apparaat niet terwijl u moe bent of onder invloed van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Een moment van onoplettendheid
tijdens het bedienen van het apparaat kan tot ernstig persoonlijk letsel leiden.
• Kleed u goed aan. Draag geen losse kleding, hangende voorwerpen of sieraden. Houd uw haar, kleding en
handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loszittende kleding, sieraden of lang haar kunnen in bewegende delen
verstrikt raken. Ventilatieopeningen op het apparaat bedekken vaak bewegende delen en moeten vermeden worden.
• Draag indien nodig de juiste persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. Gebruik een ANSI Z87.1 conforme veiligheidsbril met
zijschilden of, indien nodig, een gelaatsscherm. Gebruik een stofmasker in stofge werkomstandigheden. Gebruik ook
antislip veiligheidsschoenen, een helm, handschoenen, stofverzamelsystemen en een gehoorbescherming, indien van
toepassing. Dit geldt voor alle personen in het werkgebied.
• Leun niet te ver. Houd te allen tijde de juiste positie en balans.

Gebruik en onderhoud van de kraan
• Forceer de kraan niet. Producten zijn veiliger en doen beter werk wanneer ze gebruikt worden op de manier waarvoor ze
zijn ontworpen. Plan uw werk en gebruik het juiste product voor ieder werk.
• Controleer voor elk gebruik op beschadigde onderdelen. Controleer zorgvuldig of het product naar behoren werkt en de
beoogde functie vervult. Vervang beschadigde of versleten onderdelen onmiddellijk. Gebruik het product nooit met een
beschadigd onderdeel.
• Wanneer het niet in gebruik is, bewaar het product op een droge, veilige plaats buiten het bereik van kinderen. Inspecteer
het apparaat voor opslag en voor hergebruik op goede staat.
• Gebruik alleen accessoires die door de fabrikant aanbevolen worden voor gebruik met uw product. Accessoires die
geschikt kunnen zijn voor het ene product kunnen bij gebruik met een ander apparaat verwondingen veroorzaken. Gebruik
nooit een accessoire met een lagere bedrijfssnelheid of werkdruk dan het apparaat zelf.
Veiligheid tijdens het gebruik
• Om ernstig letsel of schade aan eigendommen te voorkomen, dient u de gebruikershandleiding te lezen en te begrijpen
voordat u het apparaat in gebruik neemt.
• Overschrijd het nominale draagvermogen niet.
• Bedienen op een harde, vlakke ondergrond.
• Bedien de kraan niet als de balk niet waterpas staat.
• Zorg ervoor dat de trolleystoppers aan beide uiteinden van de balk bevestigd zijn.
• Zorg ervoor dat de last gecentreerd is voordat u gaat tillen.
• Gebruik de kraan niet om mensen of dieren op te tillen.
• Houd personen en eigendommen weg van onder de last.
• Laat geen lasten hangend achter wanneer de portaalkraan onbemand is.
• Laat de last niet tegen de steunbalken zwaaien of rollen.
• Controleer de kraan voor elk gebruik op beschadigde onderdelen en losse bouten.
• Gebruik de kraan niet als er beschadigde onderdelen zijn. Vervang beschadigde onderdelen voordat u de kraan verder
gebruikt.
• Verstel de kraan niet in hoogte of demonteer deze niet terwijl belast.
• Bevestig de trolley en de takel in het midden van de balk bij het verstellen van de hoogte.
• Duw of trek niet aan de kraan met een vorkheftruck of ander voertuig.
• Duw nooit de last tijdens het verplaatsen van de kraan. Duw altijd op de kraan.
• Houd bij het verplaatsen van de kraan de last zo dicht mogelijk bij de vloer en plaats de last in het midden van de balk.
• Bevestig de poten niet aan de vloer.

4 Assemblage
AANDACHT!
• Om ernstig letsels en de dood te voorkomen: Draag een ANSI-goedgekeurde veiligheidsbril,
helm, werkhandschoenen voor zwaar werk en veiligheidsschoenen tijdens de montage en het
gebruik.
• Bij de montage moeten de juiste bouten gebruikt worden. Neem bij twijfel over de juiste
montage vóór gebruik contact op met de technische dienst van uw verdeler.
Voorbereiding
1. Voor de montage zijn meer dan één persoon nodig.
2. Gebruik een grote, schone en overzichtelijke ruimte voor de montage.
3. Houd rekening met de verticale afstand bij het kiezen van de werkplek. Monteer de kraan dicht bij de werkplek
4. Gebruik zaagbokken (niet inbegrepen) om grotere voorwerpen zoals palen en I-balk tijdens de montage te ondersteunen.
5. Het paalinzetstuk (7) en de paalhuls (3) zijn voorgemonteerd.
Bevestiging van palen en aansluitplaten A en B aan de I-balk (guur A - guur B)
1. Leg de I-balk (8) op de grond. Leg de linker en rechter palen op de grond.
2. Bevestig het linker paalinzetstuk (7) met bouten (21), ringen (22), moeren (23) en veerringen (24) aan de I-balk (8). Elke
bout (21) heeft 2 ringen (22) nodig.
3. Draai de verbindingen goed vast.
4. Herhaal stappen 2 en 3 voor de montage van de rechter paal.
5. Bevestig de linker aansluitplaat A (9) en de linker aansluitplaat B (10) met bouten (21), ringen (22), moeren (23) en
veerringen (24) aan de I-balk (8).
6. Herhaal dit voor de montage van de rechter aansluitplaat.

heavy-duty work gloves, and steel-toed work boots during assembly and operation.
The correct bolts must be used during assembly. If any doubts arise regarding proper assembly,
contact Northern Tool + Equipment before use.
Assembly Set-up
1. More than one person will be needed for assembly.
2. Use a large, clean, and uncluttered area for assembly.
3. Consider vertical clearance when choosing operation area. Assemble close to operation area.
4. Use saw horses (not included) to support larger items such as Posts and I-Beam during
assembly.
5. The Post Insert (7) and Post Sleeve (3) are pre-assembled.
Attaching Posts and Connector Plate A & B to I-Beam
(21) Bolt M12 x 35 (22) Washer Φ12 (23) Nut M12 (24) Spring Washer Φ12
1. Lay I-Beam (8) on the ground. Lay left and right Post Assemblies on the ground.
2. Attach Left Post Insert (7) to I-Beam (8), using Bolts (21), Washers (22), Nuts (23), and Spring
Washers (24). Each Bolt (21) needs 2 washers (22).
3. Tighten connections securely
4. Repeat for Right Post Assembly.

De handgrepen bevestigen (guur G)
1. Bevestig een haak (27) aan de linkerhandgreep (35) met een bout (26).
2. Schuif een veiligheidsas (34) door de linker handgreep (35), afstandsbus (29) en veer (31). Verbind de plaatafstandsbus
(30) en bevestig vervolgens aan de linker paalhuls (3) door de plaatafstandsbus (30), veer (31), afstandsbus (29) en
linker handgreep (35). Bevestig met een sluitring (33).
3. Plaats een veiligheidsas (34) door de verbinding (32) en linkerhandgreep (35) en trek aan de veer (31) om op de
veiligheidsas (34) aan te sluiten, en weer door de linkerhandgreep (35) en verbinding (32). Bevestigen met een sluitring
(33).
4. Plaats een veiligheidsas (34), door de verbinding (32) en linkerhandgreep (35). Bevestig met een sluitring (33).
5. Draai de verbindingen goed vast.
6. Herhaal dit voor de rechterhandgreep.

Plate Spacer (30), and then attach to Left Post Sleeve (3), through the Connect Plate Spacer
(30), Spring (31), Spacer (29), and Left Handle (35). Attach with a Washer (33).
3. Place one Safety Shaft (34) through the Connector (32) and Left Handle (35) and pull the Spring
(31) to connect to the Safety Shaft (34), and again through the Left Handle (35) and Connector
(32). Attach with a Washer (33).
4. Place one Safety Shaft (34) through the Connector (32) and Left Handle (35). Attach with a
Washer (33).
5. Tighten connections securely.
6. Repeat for the Right Handle.

that cannot be met by mechanical means, but only by the exercise of intelligence, care, common
sense, and experience in anticipating the motions that will occur as a result of operating the
controls.
Wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant safety goggles, hard hat, heavy-duty work gloves, and steel-toed work
boots during operation.
Do not use without Height Pins in place and secured with R-Pins.
Adjusting I-Beam Height
1. Make sure the hook (27) holds insert pin A (5). Press the handle (35) to lift.

• Gebruik de kraan niet zonder hoogtepinnen op hun plaats en vastgezet met R-pinnen.
Instellen van de I-balkhoogte
1. Zorg ervoor dat de haak (27) de insteekpen A (5) vasthoudt en druk vervolgens op de handgreep (35) om op te tillen
(guur H).
2. Steek de pin B (5) in het gat onder pin A. De hoogteregeling is vergrendeld.
3. Trek aan de veiligheidsas (34) om de haak van pen A los te maken, til de handgreep op en haak pen B aan (guur J).
4. Herhaal de bovenstaande procedure tot de gewenste hoogte bereikt is.

2. With the handle remaining, insert the Pin B (5) to the hole beneath Pin A. Then the height will be
locked in place.
3. Pull the Safety Shaft (34) to release the hook on Pin A. Lift the handle and hook up on Pin B.
4. Repeat the above procedure until desired height is achieved.
Before Operating
1. Familiarize yourself with all operating controls of the crane and with the operation(s) to be
performed. Instructions include the warnings on the crane, and the safety and operating
instruction portion of this manual.
⚠WARNING
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM EQUIPMENT FAILURE: Do not use damaged
equipment. If adjustments or repairs are necessary, or any defects are known, have the problem
corrected before further use.
2. Do not operate a crane with an out-of-order sign.

2. With the handle remaining, insert the Pin B (5) to the hole beneath Pin A. Then the height will be
locked in place.
3. Pull the Safety Shaft (34) to release the hook on Pin A. Lift the handle and hook up on Pin B.
4. Repeat the above procedure until desired height is achieved.
Before Operating
1. Familiarize yourself with all operating controls of the crane and with the operation(s) to be

6 Bediening
WAARSCHUWING!
• Om ernstige letsels en de dood te voorkomen: Gebruik waarschuwingsborden en slagbomen
op de vloer onder de portaalkraan waar onderhoudswerkzaamheden boven het hoofd een
gevaar vormen.
• Draag een ANSI-goedgekeurde veiligheidsbril, helm, werkhandschoenen voor zwaar werk en
veiligheidsschoenen tijdens het gebruik.
• Zorg ervoor dat er altijd ten minste 2 personen de kraan bedienen.
• Bedien de kraan op een harde, vlakke ondergrond.
• Bedien de kraan niet als de balk niet waterpas staat.
• Gebruik de kraan niet om mensen of dieren op te tillen.
• Houd personen en eigendommen weg van onder de last.
• Laat de last niet tegen de steunbalken zwaaien of rollen.
De last aanbrengen
1. Bevestig de last stevig aan de hijshaak met geschikte middelen zoals kettingen, haken, hijsbanden, enz. De last moet
bevestigd worden om te voorkomen dat deze per ongeluk losgekoppeld wordt.
2. Plaats de hijsband of een ander middel op de juiste wijze in de haak (Figuur K). Laat de haakkoppeling geen enkel deel
van de last ondersteunen.
3. Breng de last niet aan op het punt van de haak (Afbeelding K).
4. Bedien de kraan niet, tenzij de kraan gecentreerd boven de last staat.
5. Neem geen last op die groter is dan de nominale last die op de kraan of het hijsblok staat, behalve tijdens geautoriseerde
testen. Gebruik geen overbelastingsbegrenzer van de kraan om de maximale te hijsen last te meten.
6. Besteed speciale aandacht aan het balanceren en het bevestigen van de last, om te voorkomen dat deze wegglijdt.

Operating Instructions
⚠WARNING
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY AND DEATH: Use warning signs and barriers on the floor
beneath the gantry crane where overhead maintenance work creates a hazard.
Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles, hard hat, heavy-duty work gloves, and steel-toed work boots
during operation.
Always have a least 2 people operating crane at any time.
Operate on a hard, level surface.
Do not operate crane if the beam is not level.
Do not use to lift people or animals.
Keep persons and property clear from under the load.
Do not allow the load to swing or roll against the support members.
Applying the Load
1. Attach the load to the load hook securely by properly rated, suitable means, such as chains,
shackles, hooks, lifting slings, etc. Load must be attached to prevent accidental disconnection.
2. Properly seat the sling or other device in the base (bowl or saddle) of the hook (Figure L). Do not
allow the hook hitch to support any part of the load.
3. Do not apply the load to the point of the hook (Figure L).
4. Do not operate the crane unless the unit is centered over the load.
5. Do not pick up a load in excess of the rated load appearing on the crane or load block, except
during properly authorized tests. Do not use a crane overload limiting device to measure the
maximum load to be lifted.

De last verplaatsen
1. Voer geen activiteiten uit die de aandacht van de bediener aeiden tijdens het bedienen van de kraan.
2. Reageer alleen op signalen van een aangewezen persoon. Respecteer altijd een stopsignaal, ongeacht wie het geeft.
3. Til of laat een last niet met de kraan zakken of heffen totdat de bediener en alle andere personen weg zijn van de last.
4. Zorg ervoor dat alle obstakels verwijderd zijn voordat u de last verplaatst of draait.
5. Til een last niet meer dan een paar centimeter op totdat deze goed in balans is in de hijsband of ander middel.

last net uit de steunen te tillen en pas verder te gaan nadat u hebt gecontroleerd of het remsysteem goed werkt.

De last parkeren

7 Na ieder gebruik

Onderhoud de kraan in overeenstemming met de volgende aanbevolen procedures. Het wordt aanbevolen om de algemene
staat van elk gereedschap te controleren voordat het gebruikt wordt. Bewaar uw gereedschap in goede staat. Houd alle
snijgereedschappen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijgereedschappen met scherpe snijkanten hebben minder
kans om zich te binden en zijn gemakkelijker te controleren. Houd de handgrepen droog, schoon en vrij van olie en vet. De
volgende tabel is gebaseerd op een normaal bedrijfsschema.

documentatie van de fabrikant.
Controleer de haken en grendels (indien gebruikt) volgens de documentatie van de fabrikant.

Jaarlijks onderhoud
Volg de maandelijkse onderhoudsprocedures.
Controleer op vervormde, gescheurde of verroeste onderdelen, vervang ze indien nodig.

Controleer op andere versleten, gescheurde of vervormde onderdelen zoals pinnen, lagers,
wielen, assen, tandwielen, lagers, vergrendelingen en klemmen, bumpers en aanslagen.

Utilisation et entretien de la grue
• Ne forcez pas la grue. Les produits sont plus sûrs et font un meilleur travail lorsqu’ils sont utilisés de la manière pour
laquelle ils sont conçus. Planiez votre travail et utilisez le bon outil pour chaque travail.
• Avant chaque utilisation, vériez que les pièces ne sont pas endommagées. Vériez soigneusement que le produit
fonctionnera correctement et remplira sa fonction prévue. Remplacez immédiatement les pièces endommagées ou usées.
N’utilisez jamais l’appareil avec une pièce endommagée.
• Rangez le produit lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé. Entreposez-le dans un endroit sec et sûr, hors de la portée des enfants.

• Fixez le chariot et le palan au centre de la poutre lors du réglage de la hauteur.

4 Assemblage
ATTENTION !
• Pour éviter de graves blessures ou la mort : Portez des lunettes de sécurité, un casque, des
gants résistants et des chaussures de sécurité homologués ANSI pendant le montage et
l’utilisation.
• Utilisez les boulons corrects pendant le montage. En cas de doute au sujet de l’assemblage,
contactez le service technique de votre revendeur.
Préparation
1. Plus d’une personne sera nécessaire pour le montage.
2. Utilisez une grande surface propre et dégagée pour le montage.
3. Tenez compte du dégagement vertical lors du choix de la zone de travail. Assemblez la grue près de la zone de travail.
4. Utilisez des tréteaux (non inclus) pour soutenir les plus grandes pièces telles que les poteaux et les poutres en I lors de
l’assemblage.
5. L’insert de poteau (7) et la douille de poteau (3) sont pré-assemblés.
Fixation des poteaux et des plaques de connexion A et B à la poutre en I (gure A - gure B)

1. Attach one Locking Swivel Caster (1) to one end of the Base (2) using four sets of Bolts (14),
Spring Washers (12), Washers (13), and Nuts (11).
2. Repeat assemblies for the other three casters.
3. Tighten connections securely.
4. Apply grease to each Caster bearing.

1. Fixez un crochet (27) à la poignée gauche (35) à l’aide d’un boulon (26).
2. Placez une tige de sécurité (34) à travers la poignée gauche (35), l’entretoise (29) et le ressort (31). Raccordez l’entretoise

Plate Spacer (30), and then attach to Left Post Sleeve (3), through the Connect Plate Spacer
(30), Spring (31), Spacer (29), and Left Handle (35). Attach with a Washer (33).
3. Place one Safety Shaft (34) through the Connector (32) and Left Handle (35) and pull the Spring
(31) to connect to the Safety Shaft (34), and again through the Left Handle (35) and Connector
(32). Attach with a Washer (33).
4. Place one Safety Shaft (34) through the Connector (32) and Left Handle (35). Attach with a
Washer (33).
5. Tighten connections securely.
6. Repeat for the Right Handle.

6 Utilisation
ATTENTION !
• Pour éviter de graves blessures et la mort : Utilisez des panneaux d’avertissement et des
barrières sur le sol sous le portique, là où les travaux d’entretien en hauteur présentent un
danger.
• Portez des lunettes de sécurité, un casque, des gants résistants et des chaussures de sécurité
homologués ANSI pendant l’utilisation de la grue.
• Prévoyez toujours au moins 2 personnes pour faire fonctionner la grue.
• Travaillez sur une surface dure et plane.
• N’utilisez pas la grue si la poutre n’est pas de niveau.
• N’utilisez pas la grue pour soulever des personnes ou des animaux.
• Ne laissez aucune personnes ni aucun objet sous la charge.
• Ne laissez pas la charge osciller ou rouler contre les éléments de support.
Fixation de la charge
1. Fixez solidement la charge au crochet de levage par des moyens appropriés et bien dimensionnés, tels que des chaînes,
des crochets, des élingues de levage, etc. La charge doit être attachée pour éviter qu’elle ne se détache accidentellement.
2. Insérez correctement la sangle de levage ou tout autre dispositif dans le crochet (Figure K).
3. N’appliquez pas la charge à la pointe du crochet (gure K).
4. Ne faites pas fonctionner la grue tant qu’elle n’est pas bien centrée au-dessus de la charge.
5. N’attachez pas une charge supérieure à la charge nominale indiquée sur la grue ou le palan, sauf pendant les essais
dûment autorisés. N’utilisez pas de limiteur de surcharge de grue pour mesurer la charge maximale à soulever.
6. Portez une attention particulière à l’équilibrage et à l’attelage de la charge, pour éviter le glissement de celle-ci.
