• Always take time to fully read the Instructions and/or Operations Guide, and/or Basic Guide toWinching Techniques, in order to understand your winch and its operations.
• Always use extreme caution when drilling on any vehicle. Make sure that all fuel lines, brake lines, electrical wires, and other objects are not punctured or damaged when/if drilling on the
vehicle.Thoroughly inspect the area to be drilled (on both sides of material) prior to drilling, and relocate any objects that may be damaged. Failure to inspect the area to be drilled may result in
vehicle damage, electrical shock, re or personal injury.
• Always wear safety glasses when installing this kit. A drilling operation will cause ying metal chips. Flying chips can cause eye injury.
• Always use extreme caution when cutting and trimming during tting.
• Always remove jewelry and wear eye protection.
• Never lean over battery while making connections.
• Never route electrical cables:
o Across any sharp edges.
o Through or near moving parts.
o Near parts that become hot.
• Always insulate and protect all exposed wiring and electrical terminals.
• Always install terminal boots as directed in installation instructions.
• Always use appropriate and adequate care in lifting components into place.
• Always insure components will remain secure during installation and operation.
• Always tighten all nuts and bolts securely, per the installation instructions.
• Always perform regular inspections and maintenance on the plow mechanism, fasteners, cable and related hardware.
• Always replace all worn or damaged parts before operating.
• Never operate thisWARN product with damaged or missing parts.

NOTICE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
• Never tow vehicle by attaching a tow bar to the eyelets on the bumper.
• Never attach tow bars directly to the bumper. Damage to bumper may occur. WARN bumpers are not designed to be used for at towing. Consult with the manufacturer of your tow bar system for the proper vehicle tow

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove vehicle hood.
2. Remove the two front pins from top of grille.
3. Remove the four screws holding top portion of the fenders.
4. Remove the screw from in the inside of the fender well (both
sides).

5. From behind the headlight, remove the two screws that hold
the lower air dam and lower portion of grille.
6. Remove the two center air dam support bracket screws.
7. Carefully lift the front of the fender and slide the front plastic
away from vehicle (both sides).
8. Grille can now be removed.

9. At this time, we recommend that you use a piece of
cardboard to lay over the radiator to protect it during
installation (not shown in picture).
10. With motor end of winch rst, carefully slide the winch
through the front tubes and rest.
11. Winch will remain here while you insert the winch mounting
plate.
12. Attach the lower fairlead (A2) support bracket to winch
mounting plate (A1). Do not tighten completely to allow for
adjustment.
13. Slide winch mounting plate into place, in front of winch and
just behind the front tubes. (Lower fairlead support bracket
is not shown in photo).
14. Install u-bolts (B1) and secure with at washers (B3) and lock
nuts (B2).
Helpful Hint for passenger side u-bolt installation: If working
alone, take a piece of welding wire and tie to the motor
terminal on winch. Pull up on winch motor side, secure up
and out of the way while installing passenger side u-bolt.
Once installed, remove wire and place winch back down in
place.
15. Tighten u-bolts, but be careful to not over tighten you could
damage tubes.

16. Install lower winch mounting hardware (use the shorter
of the M8 hardware found in winch kit) to secure winch to
winch mounting plate. ONLY install the lower winch bolts at
this time.
NOTE: The short bolts use lower mounting holes and the
longer bolts use upper mounting holes.
17. Attach the upper fairlead bracket (A3) so it overlaps the
lower fairlead bracket and install the top winch bolts (the
longer of the M8 hardware found in your winch kit).
NOTE: You may need to clamp the two brackets together to
get the bolts started.
18. Tighten the lower fairlead bolts and lower winch bolts.
19. Run winch rope through fairlead opening.

20. You will now need to cut grille for fairlead bracket opening.
21. With assistance, reposition the front plastic back into place.
22. Using a white marker, outline where to cut grille for the
fairlead mounting bracket opening.
23. Place front plastic on at sturdy surface. Carefully cut
fairlead bracket opening.
24. Return front plastic in place. Secure the top portion of the
front plastic only (with hardware previously removed), this
will allow the bottom portion to stay loose for easier access
when installing fairlead.
25. Attach the fairlead to the mount using the longer supplied
socket head fairlead bolts from this kit (B5). Secure with
nuts from fairlead kit.
26. Complete the front plastic installation (securing lower half)
using hardware previously removed.
27. Reinstall air dam.
28. Install hook and hook strap.
29. Tighten all hardware at this time (refer to torque specication
chart on page 3).
30. Installation is now complete.
MAINTENANCE / CARE
1. Inspect all parts on the winch, winch mount, and related hardware prior to each use. Replace all hardware that appears rusted or
deformed.
2. Inspect all nuts and bolts on the winch, winch mount and related hardware prior to each use. Tighten all nuts that appear to be
loose. Stripped, fractured, or bent bolts or nuts need to be replaced.
3. Check all cables prior to use. Replace cables that look worn or frayed.
4. Check all moving or rotating parts. Remove debris that may inhibit the part from moving freely.
