oils in this product. Use of these can reduce product performance and

• Fill reservoir with water or other dental professional recommended
solution only.
• Remove any oral jewelry prior to use of this product.
• Do not use if you have an open wound on your tongue or in
your mouth.
• If your physician advised you to receive antibiotic premedication
before dental procedures, you should consult your dentist before
using this instrument or any other oral hygiene aid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.

Important!
Turn Water Flosser o and charge for 24 hours before rst use. Plug the cord into any standard electrical outlet. Make sure you
push the switch into the OFF (O) position before charging. The unit will not charge if the switch is in the ON (|) position. See “Cleaning
and Troubleshooting Your Waterpik® Water Flosser” for guidance on how to look aer your battery. The Waterpik® Water Flosser will
stay charged for up to 2 weeks depending on use.
Filling the Reservoir
Li ip top on reservoir and ll the reservoir with lukewarm water.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert tip into the center of the knob at the top of the Water Flosser handle. The colored ring will be ush with the end of the knob if the
tip is correctly locked into place.
To remove the tip from the handle, press the tip eject button and pull tip from the handle.
Adjusting the Pressure Setting
You can adjust the pressure setting on your Water Flosser by simply sliding the pressure switch on the handle.
Recommended Technique
Lean low over sink and place the tip in mouth. Aim the tip toward teeth, and turn the unit ON (|).
For best results, start with the back teeth and work toward the front teeth. Glide tip along gumline and pause briey between teeth.
Continue until you have cleaned the inside and outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
Direct the jet stream at a 90-degree angle to your gumline. Slightly close lips to avoid splashing but allow water to ow freely from
mouth into the sink. Keep unit upright during use for best results.
When Finished
Turn the unit OFF (O). Empty any liquid le in the reservoir. If desired, the reservoir may be removed from the power handle by pulling
the reservoir release latch while sliding the reservoir down towards the base of the unit.
To replace the reservoir on the power handle, simply slide it up towards the top of the unit. The reservoir will snap into place when fully engaged.

TIP USAGE
Pik Pocket™ Tip
The Pik Pocket™ tip is specically designed to deliver water or anti-bacterial solutions deep into periodontal pockets.
To use the Pik Pocket™ tip, set the unit to the lowest pressure setting. Place the so tip against a tooth at a 45-degree angle and gently
place the tip under the gumline, into the pocket.
Tongue Cleaner Tip
Set to lowest pressure setting, place tip in the center/middle of your tongue about half way back. Pull forward with light pressure.
Increase pressure as you prefer.
Orthodontic Tip
To use the orthodontic tip, gently glide tip along gumline, pausing briey to lightly brush area between teeth and all around orthodontic
bracket, before proceeding to the next tooth.
Toothbrush Tip
Place the toothbrush tip in mouth with the brush head on the tooth at the gumline. The toothbrush tip can be used with or
without toothpaste.
Using a light pressure (bristles should not bend) massage the brush back and forth with very short strokes – much like you would
with a manual toothbrush.
Plaque Seeker™ Tip
To use the Plaque Seeker™ tip, place the tip close to the teeth so that the bristles are gently touching the teeth. Gently glide tip along
gumline, pausing briey between teeth to gently brush and allow the water to ow between the teeth.

Using Mouthwash and Other Solutions
Your Waterpik® Water Flosser can be used to deliver mouthwash and antibacterial solutions. Aer using any special solution, rinse
unit to prevent clogging by partially lling reservoir with warm water and running unit with tip pointed into sink until unit is empty.
Cleaning
Never immerse unit in water. Before cleaning, unplug from the electrical outlet. Clean the product when necessary by using a so
cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser to wipe exterior.
The water reservoir is removable for easy cleaning and is top rack dishwasher safe. It is recommended that the reservoir is removed
and cleaned weekly.
Removing Hard Water Deposits / General Cleaning
Hard water deposits may build up in your unit, depending on the mineral content of your water. If le unattended,
it can hinder performance.
Cleaning internal parts: add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to a full reservoir of warm water. Point the handle and tip into sink.
Turn unit ON and run until reservoir is empty. Rinse by repeating with a full reservoir of clean warm water.
This process should be done every 1 to 3 months to ensure optimal performance.
Battery Care and Disposal
The unit will not charge if the switch is in the ON(|) position. If you use your Water Flosser once a day or less, it is recommended you
charge it overnight, once a week. If you use it twice a day or more, charge the unit more frequently. Do not run the batteries down
completely as this may shorten the lifespan of the batteries and will require charging the unit for 24 hours to obtain a full charge.
If the Water Flosser is to be stored for an extended period of time (six months or more), be sure to fully charge it prior to storage.
The unit contains a Nickel Metal Hydride battery.

Battery Removal
The product contains battery and/or recyclable electronic waste. In order to protect the environment,
please do not dispose along with household waste. When battery life ends, please dispose or recycle
according to local administrative regulations.
Please contact local waste administrative department for any questions.
If you intend to dispose the battery on your own, for example, for WF-13 models, please discharge battery
fully before removal and follow below steps to remove battery:
1. Power o the device, pull the reservoir release latch and take out the reservoir.
2. Remove the rear cover by breaking the joints at the handle (both sides) and top cover.
3. Remove 6 screws to remove chassis from unit to gain access to battery.
4. Remove tip rotator by prying it o with a at blade screwdriver
5. Remove chassis from Unit.
6. Flip chassis over to expose battery. Remove two screws
7. Cut these two wires and pry battery out of chassis.
The removed battery should be disposed safely by special recycling center
WARNING: The battery of this product is not replaceable. Please do not disassemble the product
unless you want to dispose it. Otherwise the warranty service will be void..

Important!
Éteignez l’hydropulseur et chargez-le pendant 24 heures avant la première utilisation. Branchez le cordon à n’importe quelle
prise électrique standard. Assurez-vous d’avoir mis l’interrupteur en position OFF (Arrêt – 0) avant de charger. L’appareil ne chargera
pas si l’interrupteur est en position ON (Marche – I). Consultez le guide « Nettoyageet dépannagedevotrehydropulseurWaterpikMD » pour
savoir comment prendre soin de votre pile. L’hydropulseur WaterpikMD restera chargé jusqu’à 2 semaines, en fonction de l’utilisation.
Remplissage du réservoir
Soulevez le couvercle rabattable du réservoir et remplissez le réservoir d’eau tiède.
Insertion et retrait des embouts
Insérez l’embout au centre du manche de l’hydropulseur en appuyant fermement jusqu’à ce que l’embout s’emboîte en position.
Si l’embout est correctement emboîté, l’anneau coloré doit être en aeurement avec le dessus du manche. Pour retirer l’embout du
manche, faites coulisser le bouton d’éjection de l’embout sur le manche.
Ajustement du réglage de la pression
Le réglage de la pression peut être ajusté sur l’hydropulseur simplement en faisant coulisser le commutateur de pression sur le manche.
Technique recommandée
Penchez-vous complètement par-dessus l’évier et placez l’embout dans la bouche. Dirigez l’embout vers le rebord gingival et mettez
l’appareil en marche à la position ON (Marche – I). Pour les meilleurs résultats, commencez par les dents du fond et progressez vers les dents
de devant. Faites glisser l’embout le long du rebord gingival et faites de courtes pauses entre les dents. Poursuivez jusqu’à ce que vous ayez
nettoyé l’intérieur et l’extérieur des dents supérieures et inférieures. Placez l’embout dans la bouche et orientez le jet à un angle de 90 degrés
vers le rebord gingival. Fermez légèrement les lèvres pour éviter toute éclaboussure, mais laissez l’eau couler de la bouche dans l’évier.
Tenez l’appareil droit pendant l’utilisation pour de meilleurs résultats.
Lorsque le nettoyage est terminé
Éteignez l’appareil. Videz le réservoir de tout liquide. Si désiré, le réservoir peut être retiré du manche d’alimentation en le tirant, en
relâchant la languette et en le glissant vers la base de l’appareil.
Pour réinstaller le réservoir sur le manche d’alimentation, faites-le simplement glisser vers le sommet de l’appareil. Le réservoir
s’emboîtera en place une fois complètement engagé.

UTILISATION DE L’EMBOUT
Embout Pik PocketMC
L’embout Pik Pocket
MC
est spécialement conçu pour diriger l’eau ou les solutions antibactériennes dans la profondeur des poches parodontales.
Pour l’utilisation de l’embout de Pik Pocket
MC
sélectionnez le réglage de plus basse pression sur l’appareil. Placez le commutateur
d’alimentation en eau sur le manche en position OFF (arrêt). Placez l’embout souple à un angle de 45° contre une dent, et placez doucement
l’embout sous le rebord gingival, à l’intérieur de la poche.
Embout de nettoyage de la langue
Sélectionnez la plus basse pression sur l’hydropulseur, placez l’embout au centre/milieu de la langue vers le milieu de la bouche. Tirez vers
l’avant en appuyant légèrement. Augmentez la pression selon vos préférences.
Embout orthodontique
Pour l’utilisation de l’embout orthodontique, faites glisser doucement l’embout le long de la gencive; faites une brève pause pour brosser
doucement entre les dents et autour des composants de l’appareil orthodontique, avant de passer à la dent suivante.
Embout brosse à dents
Placez l’embout de brosse à dents dans la bouche avec la tête de brosse sur la dent au niveau du rebord gingival. L’embout de brosse à
dents peut être utilisé avec ou sans dentifrice. Mettez en marche l’hydropulseur de façon à ce que l’eau coule à travers l’embout.
En appliquant une faible pression (les soies ne doivent pas plier), massez avec la brosse d’avant en arrière avec des mouvements très
courts, comme vous le feriez avec une brosse à dents manuelle.
Embout Plaque SeekerMC
Pour l’utilisation de l’embout Plaque SeekerMC, placez l’embout très près de la dent pour que les soies de la brosse soient en léger contact
avec la dent. Suivez le rebord gingival et marquez une brève pause entre les dents pour brosser en douceur et permettre à l’eau de passer
entre les dents.

Utilisation de rince-bouche et autres solutions
Vous pouvez utiliser l’hydropulseur Waterpik
MD
pour l’administration d’un rince-bouche ou d’une solution antibactérienne. Après l’utilisation
d’une quelconque solution spéciale, rincez l’appareil pour éviter la formation d’une obstruction : remplissez partiellement le réservoir avec de
l’eau tiède et faites fonctionner l’appareil pour éjecter tout le contenu du réservoir dans l’évier (embout orienté vers l’évier).
Nettoyage
N’immergez jamais l’appareil dans de l’eau. Avant d’entreprendre un nettoyage de l’appareil, débranchez l’appareil de la prise de
courant électrique. Nettoyez l’appareil lorsque c’est nécessaire – utilisez un linge doux et un produit de nettoyage non abrasif pour
nettoyer l’extérieur par essuyage.
Le réservoir d’eau est amovible, ce qui facilite le nettoyage; il est lavable dans le panier supérieur d’un lave-vaisselle. On recommande

Élimination des dépôts laissés par une eau « dure »
Versez une cuillerée à soupe de vinaigre blanc dans le réservoir rempli d’eau tiède. Orientez le corps de hydropulseur et l’embout vers
l’évier. Mettez l’hydropulseur en marche et laissez l’hydropulseur fonctionner jusqu’à ce que le réservoir soit vide. Pour le rinçage,
videz de la même manière le réservoir rempli d’eau tiède pure.
Piles – Entretien et mise au rebut
L’unité ne se charge pas si le commutateur est en position ON (Marche – I). Si vous utilisez votre l’hydropulseur une fois par jour ou
moins, il vous est recommandé de le charger pendant toute la nuit, une fois par semaine. Si vous l’utilisez deux fois par jour ou plus,
chargez l’unité plus fréquemment. Ne laissez pas les piles se décharger complètement, car ceci peut réduire leur durée de vie et vous
devrez charger l’unité pendant 24 heures pour obtenir une charge complète.
Si l’hydropulseur doit faire l’objet d’un remisage prolongé (six mois ou plus), chargez complètement la pile avant le remisage. L’unité
contient une pile à hydrure métallique de nickel.

RETRAIT DE LA PILE
Retrait de la pile
Ce produit contient une pile et/ou des déchets électroniques recyclables. An de protéger l’environnement,
veuillez ne pas jeter ces pièces avec les ordures ménagères. À la n de la durée de vie de la pile, veuillez
éliminer ou recycler le produit conformément aux réglementations administratives locales.
Pour toute question, veuillez contacter le service administratif local chargé des déchets.
Si vous avez l’intention de mettre vous-même la pile au rebut, par exemple, pour les modèles WF-13, veuillez
déchargercomplètement lapileavantde la retireretsuivre les étapesci-dessouspoursonretrait:
1. Mettez l’appareil hors tension, tirez sur le loquet de dégagement du réservoir et sortez le réservoir.
2. Retirer le couvercle arrière en cassant les charnières du manche (sur les deux côtés) et sur le
couvercle supérieur.
3. Enlever les 6 vis pour retirer le châssis de l’appareil et accéder à la pile.
4. Retirez le système rotatif d’embouts en faisant levier à l’aide d’un tournevis à lame plate.
5. Retirez le châssis de l’unité.
6. Retournez le châssis pour révéler la pile. Retirez les deux vis.
7. Coupez ces deux ls et sortez la pile du châssis en faisant levier.
La pile retirée doit être éliminée de manière sécuritaire par un centre de recyclage spécial.
AVERTISSEMENT : La pile de ce produit n’est pas remplaçable. Veuillez ne pas démonter le produit,
sauf si vous souhaitez vous en débarrasser. Sinon, le service de garantie sera annulé.
