Turning the thermometer on and off.
To switch the meter on press the On/Off button
once. The thermometer will perform a self-test.
The display will flash and then go to the normal display.
To switch the meter off press the On/Off button once.
Switching °C / °F Temperature Scales.
To change the scale press and hold the °C/°F button
For 4 seconds then release.
WARNING
Never insert the temperature probe into an electrically
charged medium.
Make sure that the probe tip and shaft are thoroughly clean
prior to insertion into food products.
1. Taking a Temperature
1) Turn on the Thermometer by pressing the On/Off button once.
2) Allow the self-test function to be completed.
3) Remove the plastic cover to expose the stainless-steel probe.
4) Insert the probe tip at least 25mm into the item to be tested.
5) Allow the reading to stabilize.
6) Read the temperature on the display.
7) Press the On/Off button once to switch off the thermometer.
(The thermometer will switch off automatically after 10 minutes)
2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Meter will not power on
Battery not properly connected
Battery dead - replace
In-correct readings
Select the °C scale
No readings
Thermometer faulty
3. Battery Replacement
To replace the battery, unscrew the four screws on the back cover.
Carefully remove the back cover.
Remove the old battery and replace with a 1.5V LR44 (OR0811) or equivalent Battery.
Replace the back cover.
Insert and tighten the four screws in the back cover.
4. Cleaning the Thermometer
Only use a mild detergent and a damp cloth.
