Note:
Should the AirBridge after some time flashing red, disconnect it briefly from power supply for a short time
and then connect power again. Then the device restarts with the network settings. During this time it will
flash blue again and it may take a few minutes as described above.
Is the AirBridge flashing steady red or blue for too long, probably the access key is entered incorrectly, and
therefore may be no network connectivity. The system tries repeatedly using the wrong data log onto the
network. To overcome this, press the reset button to set the device back to factory settings (see Reset) and
repeat the connection process.
With a successful integration, you will find the AirBridge as a playback device constantly on your
Smartphone Audio player application (for Apple iOS devices: in AirPlay selection).
At every restart now the AirBridge will automatically connect to your wireless network.
10.3. Multi Play
Multi Play is defined as the simultaneous playback of a music player on several AirBridges. Using the
WHD App, you can, for example, play music in several rooms simultaneously.
Note:
But this is only possible if:
- the network connection with AirBridge(s) is established.
- the Audio Player and (all) AirBridge(s) are in the same network.
- the Audio Player supports Multi Play. iTunes does this but only with certain PC or MAC versions.
- the network offers the necessary bandwidth for Multi Play (at least 150 Mbit/s;. 802.11n).
Default players for Smartphones and tablets currently do no support Multi Play feature. For Apple and
Android devices, the WHD Multiroom Audio Player App is available.
For continued flawless audio transmission you should always use a wireless router from 802.11n and
latest Smartphones / tablets.
Recommended Equipment / Software
iOS devices: iOS 7 or higher is recommended (iPad 2 or later, iPhone 4S or later and iPod Touch 5 or
higher).
Android devices: Android 4.1 is a prerequisite
12. General Information

13. Troubleshooting
No connection to WLAN / LED blinking constantly blue or red
Disconnect power supply for about 5 sec. and connect power again. Then the device restarts with the
network settings.
LED blinking constantly red
Reset the AirBridge.
No working solution fond (Reset)
Press the RESET button for > 6 sec. with the end of a paper clip. The AirBridge configuration is now on
factory settings. Repeat the process.
Music breaks through overbooking WLANs
Should the existing network not have sufficient bandwidth, or should the number of devices in the
network (such as printers, PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones) is to high, you can quickly use a
second router or repeater (802.11n) to increase your network bandwith or seperate your "Music" network
from the existing network.
13.1. Q&As
How to use the AirBridge with Windows 7/8?
Connect the AirBridge a with the App in your WLAN. You can then set up the AirBridge in two steps under
Windows:
1. In the Control Panel, AirBridge must be added as a device under "Devices and Printers".
2. In Windows Media Player under "Stream", "More streaming options", the AirBridge set to permit
(check the "approved" set).
Playback can now be started simply by right-clicking and selecting "Play to".
Why does the AirBridge have no on/off switch?
Since the AirBridge should always stand out as receiver available, so it is always connected to the WLAN.
But there is nothing to prevent "pull the plug" when it is not needed. If she gets power again, it reconnects
automatically to known Wi-Fi network.
Can the AirBridge be connected into an existing wireless network with a fixed IP, for example,
192.168.2.xxx?
Yes, you can assign a fixed IP. That should be done in the router. In the AirBridge configuration not IPs
can be determined.
Does the AirBridge also work with an Apple MacBook?
If so, is there an additional App?
The music streaming via AirPlay and iTunes works also on a MacBook. The involvement of the AirBridge
wireless is only possible with the WHD iOS App or Android App.
Can I operatethe AirBridge "5V port" also with a PC PSU?
The AirBridge can be operated (rather than the included power supply) from another trouble-free source
of 5 volts and a minimum of 650 mAh.

Can the analog output jack and the digital TOSLINK output of AirBridge be connected in parallel?
Yes, that is also parallel and synchronous.
Are phone calls transferred to the AirBridge?
Our tested smartphones "stream" a call not wireless, but interrupting the stream. This makes sense,
because otherwise there would be problems because of the microphone.
I would like to operate several AirBridges synchronously. Is this possible?
You can also address multiple AirBridges sync with the WHD App or iTunes from your PC/Mac
(multiroom).
Multiroom:
I would like to play on in three rooms with three AirBridges, three differend HiFi systems. All are in the
same wireless network. I it possible to play music via an Andriod smartphone (streaming music from
the smartphone) in all three rooms simultaneously. If so, are the signals synchronized? As to say,
Multi-Room application with a single audio source.
Does this work also or alternatively only with iOS products?
It works out with our iOS / Android App and iTunes from your PC / Mac.
