OPERATING PRINCIPLE
WHENSWITCHINGONTHEMACHINEFORTHEFIRSTTIME,THEMACHINESHOULD
BE PLACEDONTHEDEFROSTINGSTAGE.Todo so,turnthe wheelson the timeruntil
the microswitchesaredepressed.
-Atthismoment, the compressorisworking;the waterinletvalveand hotgasinlet
valvearebothopen.The waterbinfillswithwater, anyexcess islost viathe maximumlevel
overflow.
-Afteraperiod oftimecontrolled bythe timerthe hotgasvalveand waterinlet valve
areclosed. The pumpthen sendswatertothe evaporatorwherethe icescubesare
graduallyformed. The evaporation temperatureslowlydescendsuntil itreachesapoint
wherethe cyclethermostatisconnected and startsthe timer.Oncethistimehaselapsed,
the defrosting stage (3-4minutes)begins.The pumpisoff and the hotgasand water
valvesareopen. Somewaterissent tothe top of the evaporatortohelpthe cubesunstick.
-Oncethe defrosting stage isover,the cyclebeginsagain,and soitcontinuesuntil
the binisfull ofice,and contactbetween the binthermostatsituated atthe top ofthe bin
and the icewill stop the machine.The binthermostatwill neverstop the machine inmid-
cycle.

OPERATINGPRINCIPLEFOLLOWINGTHEELECTRICDIAGRAM(TIMERON
DEFROST-MICROSWITCHES DEPRESSED).
-The ITVmodelNG hastwoswitches:
1st Inthe frontalside ofthe machine (withled).Thisturnsthe machine on oroff when we
press it.
2nd The second switchislocated inthe electricalpanel. Thisone stopsthe condensing unit,
butkeepsthe hydraulicpartinoperation and allowstodo the cleaning ofthe machine
(except inNDP20 model).
-Currentreachesthe machine viathe line connecting the blue (1)and brown(2)
terminals.The brownwireconnectsthe compressorand timermotor.The blue wire
connectsbinthermostatT1whichclosesthe circuitwith2.Adifferentblue wiregoesto2
on terminalG1whichat thismoment isconnecting 1and 4.
-Ared wireconnectsbinthermostatT1and microsG1and G2whichclosethe
circuit with4and provide current viaG1tothe timerG.
-At thispoint the following areconnected:
vCOMPRESSOR(S)
vWATERINLETVALVE (P)
vHOTGAS VALVE (Q)
vTIMERMOTOR(G)
-Sincethe motorofthe timer(G)isworking, during 1÷3minutesthe rolerof microof the
second waterinletcoil (cleaning valvedrive)isdepressed until the pinsreleasethe micro,
closing thisvalve..
-After 2to4minutesmicrosG1and G2will open and closecircuits1-2.
-Viaterminal2on microG2,currentreachesthe pump.Circuit4on microG2which
providescurrenttothe hotgasvalve(Q)and waterinletvalve(P)will be interrupted.Since
the thermostatisbetween 1and 3the timerwill receiveno current. The compressor
continuesswitched on.

-Air-cooled machineshaveafan (R)whichiscontrolled bythe pressostat (F).
-Inwater-cooled modelswithoutpressostaticvalve,pressostat(J)opensand closes
the condenserelectrovalve(K).
-Evaporatortemperaturedecreasesuntil the cyclethermostat(T2)setpointis
reached, at thistemperaturecircuit 1-2will be closed and timermotor(G)will switchon.
-Oncethe cycleisover,the pinson the timerwheelswill forcethe microstochange
circuits,stopping the pumpand opening the hotgasvalveand watervalve.The combined
effectofhotgasand watersprayed on the top ofthe evaporatorwill releasethe icecubes
and change the position of the cyclethermostat (T2).
-The iceproduction and defrosting cyclewill continue until the icestorage binisfull,at
whichpointcyclethermostat(T1)will disconnectthe machine,butneverduring acycle, but
atthe beginning ofthe defrosting stage,sinceduring the production cycle,currentwill
reachthe pumpviaterminals1-2of microG1.
-The machine will remaindisconnected until the leveloficeinthe bindropsbelowthe
thermostatbecauseoficeconsumption.Atthispointthe binthermostatT1changesand
the machine will start anewproduction cycleautomatically.
