Always
pull
outthe
plug
andturnoffthewater
supplybeforedoing
any
work
(cleaning
or
repair)
ontheunit.Periodically
cleanthe
appliance
(every
6months) andthewater
system,to
keep
the
appliance
operatingat
maximum
efficiencyandto
ensurethebest
ice
cube
quality.
When
theice
cube
production
time
isincreased,
andthecubes
startto
lose
their
transparency,itistime
toclean the
water
system.Howoften
you
cleanthesystemdepends
on
thehardness
ofthe
water.
Duringfreezing,
the
calcium
in
thewateris
depositedonthe
refrigerant
plate.
These
depositsactas
insulation,
decreasing
theefficiencyoftheappliance's
performance.
HOW
TO
CLEANTHEWHIRLPOOLICEMAKERS:
Turn
off
the
water
andswitchoff
theappliance
by
pressing
the
green
switch.
Opentheice
binand
remove
all
thecubes.
Remove
the
plug
orthedrain
hose
(if
provided)
inside
thebin.
Pour1.51
of
watermixed
with1/10litre
ofvinegar
or
4
tablespoons
of
lemon
juice
or
citricacidinto
thebinusingthefunnel
provided.
Press
the
twoswitches
(green
and
blue)
andoperatetheappliancefor40
minutes
approx.
6) Release
thetwoswitches
(green
andblue)
anddrainthiswatermixtureinto
the
liner
by
inverting
the
position
ofthefunnel.
7) Pour1.51
water
and
2tablespoonful
ofbakingsodainto
thebin,
press
thetwo
switches
(green
andblue)andoperate
theappliancefor
5minutes approx.
8) Drain
thewater
and
repeat
theoperation,
by
rinsingwith1.51
of
water
andleaving
the
applianceoperatingfor
5minutes.
9) Remove
the
funnelwith
thehose
afterthewater
drainand
replace
the
plug
orthe
drainhose.
10)
Clean
the
inside
ofthe
bin
reservoir
andthedoor
gasket
with
asoftcloth
dampenedin
asolution
of
warmwater
andbakingsoda.
11)Press
the
green
switchandturn
the
water
on:theicemakerwill
beginto
work
again.
Werecommend
you
askthe
intervention
ofaqualified
techniciantoclean
periodically
(once
ayear) thecondenser
andthe
motor
compartment.
lmpoftant:
To
prevent
odour
contaminationof
the
ice
cubes,do
not
put
foods
orbeveragesinto
the
ice
cubebin.Whennotinuse forlong
periods
of
time
(holidays,
etc.)
turn
offthe
water,
pull
outthe
plug,
remove
all
ice
cubes,
drain
thewatertank
by
removing
the
plug
or
the
drainhoseandleavethe
dooropentoprevent theformation
ofodours.

thicknesscanbe
increased
or
decreased
by
turningthethermostatknobwith
ascrewdriver.
Turning
the
knob
clockwise
increases
thethickness,
turning
it
anti-clockwisedecreases
the
thickness.Bymeans
ofthethermostatknobitis
possible
toadjust
the
variations
duetotheambienttemperature,whenit
is
higher
than32'Cand
lower
than10'C.
- Never
turn
thethermostat
knob
outside
the
fieldindicated
onthedial.
- Adjust
theicethicknessthermostat
onlyafterafewhoursoperationand
only
afterthebin
hashalf-filled
withice
cubes.
- Non-observance
ofthethermostat
setting
rule
could
resultin
damageto
theicemaker,
especially
if
thethermostatknobisleft
onalow
getting
in
a
highroom
temperature.
In
this
casetheicecouldbecome
sothickthe
icewillnot
cut.Ontheother
hand,
theice
thickness
couldbereduced
toaminimum ornoneatall.

The
thermostatis
pre-set
atthe
factory.
However,
if
theambienttemperatureis
higherthan+32Citisnecessary
to
adjust
thethermostatknob
to
position
(Sun
Symbol
=Hot),if
theambient
temperatureis
lowerthan+16oC,itwill
benecessary
toadjustthethermostat
knob
to
position
(Snowflake
=Cold).
