CAUTION:
●Professional installation recommended.
First Time Installation
●Remove parts from inside the package and
check. Contact your dealer if any parts are
missing or damaged.
●These instructions show type A crossbar
fitted. They also apply to type B, C and D.
●This kit fits type A, B, C and D.

●Use keys to remove covers.
●Use hex screwdriver to reverse adjusting
screw 10 turns.
●Press adjusting screw and pull crossbar
legs out. Refer to the crossbar instructions
for crossbar adjustment method.
●Ensure each end of the crossbar is
adjusted equally.

●Attaches to factory-fitted mounting points
●Please check the front of this manual for
information relating specifically to your
vehicle.
●Adjust crossbar in or out to suit vehicle.
Refer to the crossbar instructions for
crossbar adjustment.
●Tighten adjusting screw to 5 Nm (3.7 ft lb)
hand tight.
●Remove plastic clamp block by gripping bar
leg with fingers and push firmly with
thumbs until clamp block drops out behind
leg.

●Select plastic internal block (from fitting kit)
and insert into foot.
●Repeat for all legs.
Fitment
●There are 4 concealed mounting points
hidden by the vehicles rubber insert on the
roof.
●Measure from the front of the rubber insert
and make a mark at 355mm and 1245mm.
●From these 2 marks measure 25mm
forward and 25mm back and mark a line
across the rubber insert.
●Carefully lift the rubber insert by hand to
reveal the mounting points as shown, only
lift the minimum amount required to reveal
the mounting point.
●Note: Do not use sharp objects or tools to
lift the rubber moulding.
●Note: Take care when lifting the rubber
insert not to kink or bend it.
●Note: The mounting points are covered
with sealant.

●Now cut the rubber insert at the 2 lines you
marked in the earlier instruction. Once cut
you should end up with 4 x 50mm pieces of
the rubber insert.
●Note: Be careful of sharp edges after
cutting the rubber insert.
●Remove one side of adhesive tape
backing. Apply to underside of rubber
insert as shown. Remove second backing,
then apply downward pressure onto
vehicle.
●To reveal the screw thread in the mounting
points, remove the sealant covering them
with a sharp tool.

●Remove sealant as shown.
●Apply protective strip as shown.
Trim if required.
●Assemble as shown.
●A = 8mm bolt
B = Spring washer
C = Flat washer
D = Rubber seal
E = Protective strip
●Place rubber seal over bolt thread as
shown.
●Place the clamps into position as pictured
at the 4 points, ensure the clamp is
orientated the right way in the vehicle
channel.
●Using 5mm hex key supplied with this kit,
fully tighten the M8 dome head bolt and
washer supplied to 5Nm (3.7 ft lb) hand
tight.

●Select coach bolt and insert through metal
clamp slot.
●Using the 10mm (3/8") spanner supplied
with the crossbars, tighten the nut to 5Nm
(3.7 ft lb) hand tight.
●A = Coach bolt
B = Washer
C = Nut
●Assemble as shown.
●Refer to the underside of the pad for the
part number.
●Fit rubber pads (supplied with fitting kit) to
foot. Pad may vary in shape to that shown.

●Place crossbar foot over clamp.
●Repeat for all four positions.
●Tighten the plastic knob. The side with the
nut showing should be facing up.
●Ensure the plastic knob is in the position
shown when fully tightened.
●Repeat for all legs.

●Check crossbar is securely attached to the
vehicle.
●Use keys to fit and lock covers
CAUTION: Recheck all fasteners immediately after
a load is applied to the crossbars.
Regularly check screws are tight.
●If crossbars are removed, please install the
rubber plugs into the ditch moulding.

Maintenance
●Clean the car roof and surfaces of the
product that will be in contact with the car
roof.
●Follow the fitting instructions for fitting the
product to your vehicle. Make sure all steps
are carried out in order.
●Set crossbars a minimum distance of
700mm (27 1/2") apart where no other
distance is specified in the fitting
instructions. This is especially important
when carrying long loads.
●Check unit is securely attached whenever
you refit it to the vehicle. If the unit feels
loose, refer to the fitting instructions and
readjust.
●Some glass/panoramic roofs and radio
antennae may not be able to be used when
the product is fitted.
●Do not modify this product.
●Refer to the maximum permitted load
capacity specified in the fitting instructions.
Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturers
roof load rating if it is lower than the
maximum load capacity specified in the
fitting instructions.
●Loads should not overhang the sides of the
product and be evenly distributed with the
lowest possible centre of gravity.
●Long loads should be secured with non-
elastic straps to the front and rear of the
vehicle.
●Objects with pointed ends (e.g. ski poles)
should be carried with the pointed ends to
the rear of the vehicle.
●Remove all loose or removable objects
from the load prior to loading.
●Make sure all loads are securely fastened
with non-elastic straps. Check regularly
during longer journeys.
●A loaded roof rack system can alter the
performance of your vehicle. Be especially
aware of the effects of side winds,
changing of direction, and braking
performance. Avoid rapid acceleration and
deceleration. Drive carefully.
●Note that the total height of the vehicle
increases when upright loads are carried.
●Products should be locked during transport
if they have locks fitted.

●Check and replace worn out or defective
parts.
●Keep the product clean and maintained.
●Never drive into a car wash with the roof
rack system fitted.
●Lubricate locks and adjusting screws at
regular intervals.
●Remove the products from the vehicle
when not in use. Make sure all loose parts
are stored safely.

●Abdeckungen mit Schlüsseln abnehmen.
●Innensechskantschlüssel benutzen und
Stellschraube mit 10 Umdrehungen lösen.
●Befestigungsschraube eindrücken und
Querträgerschenkel ausziehen. Siehe
Anweisungen für das Einstellen der
Querträger!
●Sicherstellen, dass beide Enden der
Querträger gleich lang eingestellt sind
(Maß 'x', s. Abb.).

●Zur Montage an werksseitig vorgesehenen
Montagepunkten
●Finden Sie Informationen speziell für Ihr
Fahrzeug im der Vorderteil Teil dieser
Bedienungsanleitung.
●Querträger auf erforderliche Breite
einstellen. Siehe dazu Montageanleitung
für die Querträger.
●Stellschraube mit 5 Nm / 3.7 ft lb anziehen.
●Klemmblock nach hinten drücken und so
entfernen.

●Innenblock aus dem Montage-Kit in den
Fuß einsetzen.
●Montage bei allen Beinen wiederholen.
Befestigung
●Es gibt 4 verdeckte Befestigungspunkte,
die unter dem Gummi-Einsatz am
Fahrzeugdach verborgen sind.
●Legen Sie Ihr Messband an der
Vorderkante des Gummi-Einsatzes an,
messen Sie in Längsrichtung, und machen
Sie bei 355mm und bei 1245mm je eine
Markierung.
●Von diesen beiden Markierungen
ausgehend, messen Sie jeweils 25mm
nach vorn und 25 mm nach hinten, und
zeichnen an diesen Stellen je eine Linie
quer über den Gummi-Einsatz.
●Heben Sie den Gummi-Einsatz vorsichtig
mit der Hand an und legen Sie, wie
gezeigt, den Befestigungspunkt frei. Bitte
nur so weit anheben, wie unbedingt nötig
ist, um den Befestigungspunkt freizulegen.
●Hinweis: Verwenden Sie keine scharfen
Gegenstände oder Werkzeuge, um das
Gummi-Formteil anzuheben.
●Hinweis: Achten Sie beim Anheben des
Gummi-Einsatzes darauf, diesen nicht zu
knicken oder zu biegen.
●Hinweis: Die Befestigungspunkte sind mit
Dichtmittel bedeckt.

●Schneiden Sie nun den Gummi-Einsatz
entlang der 2 Linien durch, die Sie bereits
in einer vorangegangenen Anweisung
markiert haben. Nach dem Schnitt sollten
Sie 4 Teile des Gummi-Einsatzes mit je
50mm Länge erhalten.
●Hinweis: Bitte achten Sie auf scharfe
Kanten nachdem Sie die Gummieinsätze
zugeschnitten haben.
●Entfernen Sie die eine Seite des
Klebebandträgers. Bringen Sie diesen auf
die Unterseite des Gummi-Einsatzes auf,
wie dargestellt. Entfernen Sie die zweite
Seite des Klebebandträgers und üben Sie
auf das Fahrzeug einen Abwärtsdruck aus.
●Um das Gewinde in den
Befestigungspunkten freizulegen, entfernen
Sie das Dichtmittel mit einem scharfen
Werkzeug.
