Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our clients
take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instruc-
tions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Description
Balancers are used as accessories for workshop cranes, rope hoists, or chain hoists and help with the
exact positioning or alignment of loads, e. g. motors.
The risk of tilting during installation and removal is kept as low as possible and allows safe and easy
work. Thanks to a worm drive provided with a hand crank, including 4 chains with safety hooks, the
balancer can be adjusted lengthwise.
The 900 kg balancer is placed between a pulley block and an unwieldy, heavy load, e. g. a complete
car engine with gearbox. The device is designed in such a way that it lifts the object to be lifted as
efficiently as possible and at the same time gives the user the opportunity to turn and position the object.
•chain length with hook: approx. 340 mm
•maximum load capacity: approx. 900 kg
•screw width: approx. 460 mm
•total width: approx. 400 mm
•weight: approx. 7 kg
Safety instructions and warnings
•Familiarize yourself with the monitoring and operation of the application and with the warning
notices.
•Make sure to be familiar with the contents of the instructions for use.
•This device is not intended to be used by persons (or children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or persons who do not have the appropriate experience or knowledge,
unless a person responsible for their safety supervises them or previously has given them in-
structions on how to use the device.
•Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
•Make sure that the load is free and that there are no obstacles that can make lifting difficult.
•Make sure that nobody approaches the load.
•Warn anyone present about the raised load.
•Immediately notify your supervisor or workshop if something unforeseen happens.
•Never lift more load than the maximum allowed.
•Never use damaged, malfunctioning engine lifts.
•Never use deformed, damaged, or worn-out lifting accessories.
•Never lift the load if an obstacle could interfere with the lifting.
•Stay focused and do not allow any distractions during the process.
•Never use the load handler to lift, support, or transport people.
•NEVER LIFT LOADS OVER PERSONS!
•Unsecured loads can cause limb or bone injuries and even death.

•Do not take your eyes off the lifted load.
•Avoid other objects touching the engine lift.
•Never try to extend or repair the load bearing device.
•Do not use welding equipment near the device.
•Always ensure that the workplace is optimally lit.
•Always wear non-slip shoes.
•Use a hair net with long hair.
•Wear close-fitting clothing.
•Take off jewellery (rings, earrings, watches, etc.).
•Be careful not to wear loose ribbons or belts.
•Do not use the device unless you are physically able to do so.
•Standing upright for long periods of time can lead to dizziness. Take regular breaks and drink
enough.
•Do not overload the device. Never use the engine lifter like a jack. This engine lifter is only
intended as an installation aid and for removing vehicle parts.
•Before starting work on/under a vehicle, make sure that it is well raised and secured.
•Never open screw connections that are under pressure/load.
Notes to the user
•The owner/user must have read and understood the instructions for use of the device before he
is allowed to use it. Instructed personnel should be careful, qualified, trained in and familiarized
with the safe handling of the work equipment used when working on engines and their compo-
nents. Warnings should be read and understood.
•The owner/user must keep the instructions for use in a safe place so that he can refer to them
at any time. Be sure to request a replacement if the operation manual has been lost.
Control/inspection
•Check the device before each use in order to be able to replace damaged or missing compo-
nents in good time.
•The device must be checked immediately by a specialist if an unexpected error occurs.
•If you suspect that one of the carrier chains could be damaged, the device must immediately be
taken out of service until the repair has been carried out by a specialist and the device has been
approved again.
•It is recommended to have the device checked by a specialist once a year.
Use
•To remove a car or truck engine including the gearbox, the gearbox must first be disengaged
and the fastening screws of the motor must be loosened.
•Then position the balancer directly above the motor.
•Attach the carrier hooks of the four carrier chains to the head bolts of the engine –two at the
front (left and right) and two at the rear (left and right).
•Now slowly and carefully lift the motor with the help of the balancer. After a few centimetres it
should be checked whether the load is still in balance. To readjust the balance, the position of
the movable axis of rotation is changed with the aid of the hexagonal crank.
•Then the motor including the gear is very carefully removed from the housing and the motor is
turned to the left or right by moving the handle.
•To reinstall the motor, follow the previous instructions in reverse order.
•With these and other types of loads, it must be ensured that all connections and carriers are
securely connected to one another before using the goods train.
