installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored rigid
ear, lug,or the likeextendingfrom the adaptor must becon

nectedto a permanent ground such as a properly grounded
outlet box cover. Whenever the adaptor is used, it must be
held
in placeby a metalscrew.
NOTE: Check local electrical codes before using an
adaptor. Adaptors are not allowed in Canada.

If an extensioncord is used, thewiresize must be at least one
size largerthan the power cord on the machine, and the cord
must be a type SJTW/SSTW:A.
HOW IT OPERATES
The TRIDENTCOMPACT is a walk - behindscrubber.
The main scrubbing components include a solutiodrecovery
tank, singledisc - typebrush orpad, a rear squeegeeanda vac -
uum motor.
Detergent solution and water flow from the solution
tank to
the scrub brush. The rotating brush scrubs the floor. As the
machine moves forward, the rear squeegee collects the dirty
solutionandchannelsitinto
the vacuum of thesqueegeepickup
hose. The pickup hose depositsthe dirty solution intothe re
-
coverytank.

will extend the life of your vacuum motor.

Brush Installation:
1. Slidebrush orpad driverunder driveplate.
2. Align onemetal lug on the brush or
pad driverwith the scrub deck sighthole and a
keyhole in the driveplate.
3. Raise the brush or pad driver upward
and twist clockwiseuntil locked.
Brush Removal:
1. Raisebrush orpad driveroff floor.
2. Reach under brush or pad driverand rotate
so that the metal lug in the driveplate is visible
through the scrub deck sight hole.
3. Quickly twist brush orpad drivercounterclockwis
to release.
SOLUTION STRAINER
1. An inline solution strainer is located under chassis
behind left wheel. Remove sedimentbowl and
screenperiodicallyand rinse clean with hot water.
Be careful not to misplacethe gasket.

Squeegeewear:
After extended use, the squeegee blades will wear. To im

prove squeegee performance and extend wear, proceed as
follows:
1. Turn off all switches and place the machine
on a level surface.Raisethe squeegeeto
the transportposition.
