1. General items
1.1 Introduction
The product is a temperature switch with a built-in micro switch.
The switch is composed of the sensor unit that measures the temperature, the control unit that adjusts
the target value, and the temperature as well as the micro switch that output a contact point.
The micro switch is a high-precision product designed for the operation with very small temperature
changes, and it has various rated current values.
Before using the product, make sure to fully familiarize with the user manual that indicates how to
handle each part for the correct use.
1.2 Application
When it reaches the target temperature, the product can be used for On-Off signal-based process
control, alarm, or warning displays, etc.
In addition, it is manufactured in a pressure-resistant and explosion-proofing structure, and thus, it can
be installed in an explosion-proofing area for use.
1.3 Product Characteristics
1) The temperature switch is most suitable for cases where switching is required for temperature.
2) The micro switch can perform a stable opening and closing operation through snap actions.
3) It can be installed in an explosion-proofing area or danger zone for use.
1.4 Warranty
If one causes damage to the product due to failures to comply with the user manual, or if one arbitrarily
remodels it, changes or repairs the product, the manufacturer will not be responsible for it, and the
product warranty period will expire.

2. Warning
Guide on handling for safe use
For the safe and correct use of the product, make sure to read the handling guide carefully before use.
Handling errors can cause device malfunctions, and it can lead to injury, accidents, etc.
Warning
!
1) For the safety, only a worker with professional skills in electronics and electrical construction is
allowed to install the product.
2) Make sure to use the product within the rated input/output range set in the specifications.
3) Install the product in the environment of use indicated in the specifications.
4) Use the product in the permissible temperature range. If you use it outside the temperature range, it
can cause malfunctions or damage to the temperature switch, thus causing a degradation in the
safety nearby.
5) Do not apply excessive loads, vibrations, or impacts.
6) Do not let the sensor of the temperature meter to get bent. If the sensor gets bent, it can interfere
with the normal operation of the temperature meter, thus it can lead to temperature discrepancies.
7) Do not grab the head and turn it. Using a tool, hold the hexagonal screw parts to turn it.
8) O-ring can cause changes over time or characteristics change, and it can lead to a loss of
necessary functions for sealing, thus it requires periodic replacement, and in general, it is
recommended to replace it every 5 years.
9) When installing it in the site, make sure to follow the guide from the user manual.
10) Do not remodel the product itself or try to add a new function to it.
11) When opening the product case, make sure to turn off the power first. If you do wiring work when
current flows, there is danger of electrical shocks.

4. Design
4.1 Structure
4.1.1 Basic type
The product is a pressure-resistant and explosion-proofing product where its container is designed to
withstand explosive gas or vapor inside it. It is designed to prevent ignition due to external explosive gas
or vapor through the contact plane, inlet part, etc.
The basic type of the product has a process connection part and a sensor that are welded, and the
process connection part can be selected and used depending on the environment of the installation. In
addition, after selecting a proper thermowell for the environment of use, it can be installed together or
directly inserted into the temperature switch.

4.1.2 Remote type
Remote type has an extension cable sticking out below the head and is connected to the sensor.
The part for actual measurement can be put in accordance with the installation location of the sensor to
adjust the distance between the measurement unit and the head.
The extension cable is generally made of insulated stainless steel.

4.2 Principle of operation
As shown in the below figure, a diaphragm is used as a temperature measurement device.
The displacement of the diaphragm due to the temperature change is delivered through the rod to the
lever, thus opening and closing the micro switch.
5. Installation guide
1) Before installation, make sure to check the product for damage and the process status.
2) Periodically inspect the installation location in terms of wetness, vibration, dust, corrosive gas, etc.
3) Avoid a location with temperatures exceeding the temperature range defined in the user manual.
4) Make sure to evacuate properly to prevent lightning or vapor.
5) Avoid a location with direct sunlight.
6) When installing it in the panel or wall using an assembly hole, make sure to use M5 nuts and bolts,
and in case of using mounting tools, make sure to firmly install it.
7) During installation, if there is a temperature difference between the locations of the sensor and the
capillary tube, it is not possible to measure the temperature accurately, therefore, make sure to
protect the capillary tube.
8) Fix screws (bolts and nuts) by using the designated torque and tools.

6. Wiring
6.1 Type and wiring due to wiring/contact point operation
1) High alarm
1:1 contact point type, If the temperature reaches the target
temperature, then turn on the circuit.
Cancel the circuit if the temperature drops below the target
temperature.
2) Low alarm
1:1 contact point type, If the temperature reaches the target
temperature, then turn on the circuit.
Cancel the circuit if the temperature drops over the target
temperature.
