T e Wolf Hazard Lamp HL-95 meets all relevant provisions of t e
2014/34/EU (ATEX Equipment) Directive, by virtue of t e issued EU
Type Examination Certificate, demonstrating compliance wit all
relevant armonised standards and essential ealt and safety
requirements.
T e Wolf Hazard Lamp is a self-contained warning lamp, wit an LED
lig t source and powered by a special air depolarised primary
battery. T e enclosure is moulded in ig impact plastic. T e lamp is
approved as Group II, category 1 equipment for use in zone 0, 1 or 2
potentially explosive gas, vapour or mist atmosp eres, w ere t e T4
temperature class permits.
Only use t e specified HL-3155X battery.
Do not open in t e EX area.
Static Hazard – clean only wit a damp clot .

Special Conditions of Use (X Condition)
T e metal label and grill can generate a electrostatic c arge under
certain extreme conditions. T e user s all ensure t e Hazardlamp is
not placed in a location w ere t e external conditions are conducive
to t e build up of an electrostatic c arge.

Ingress protection level: IP21, to EN60529:1992,

following armonized standards:- EN 61000-6-2:2005 and
EN 61000-6-3:2007+A1:2011.

Use of Wolf Hazard Lamp HL-95
Users s ould consult EN60079/IEC60079, or national equivalent, for
advice on t e selection and maintenance of electrical apparatus for
use in potentially explosive atmosp eres.
A damaged Hazard Lamp s ould be wit drawn, inspected and
repaired in accordance wit t ese instructions, before being put
back into service.
T e Wolf Hazard Lamp must not be opened in t e azardous area.
No modifications are permitted to t is product.
C eck ambient temperature for intended use, t e battery
performance is reduced in temperatures below -5
o
C
To Fit Battery
Remove locking screw and separate t e lamp front from rear.
Fit battery into lamp front and attac connector, ensure t e
connector is firmly attac ed to bot terminals.
Re-assemble two alves of lamp and locking screw, ensure wires
are not trapped.
Operation
External switc provides output selection as follows:
on static – off – on flas ing.
Internal switc on t e LED circuit board allows selection of daylig t
‘cut-out mode’, automatically turning t e lamp off in daylig t,
extending t e battery life.
T e flas rate may increase if t e lamp is operated near radio
frequency emissions in t e range 100MHz to 115MHz.
