COMMENT:
• When measuring distance within 10 m, measurement accuracy is ±2 mm.
When measuring more than 10 m, measurement accuracy is calculated
as follows:
±2 mm + 0.05 x (D–10). (D: Measuring Distance, Unit: m).
• When measuring too poorly reflecting targets or very rough surfaces, or
if the ambient temperature is too high or too low or ambient brightness is
too bright, such as under sunlight, the deviation will be unfavourable.
PROHIBITED
1. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device or modify it in
any manner.
2. Immersing the device in water.
3. Cleaning the lens using alcohol or any other organic solvent.
4. Wiping the lens directly with fingers or other rough surfaces.
5. Powering the device beyond the rated DC voltage.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Remove battery compartment cover and insert 2x AAA batteries (alkaline).
OPERATION
Also see figures AA to L on page 1 of this manual.
. SWITCHING ON
• Briefly press to switch on the device, screen will be as shown in
fig. AA.
• Then the device enters Single Measurement Mode and the laser point is
opened (fig. A).
• The laser point is automatically closed if there is no more operation after
30 seconds. Or briefly press to close the laser point (fig. B).
• Briefly press again to open the laser point (fig. C).
. CHANGINGTHEMEASUREMENTREFERENCE
• Default measurement reference is the bottom of the device (fig. D).
• Press and hold to change the measurement reference to the top of
device (fig. E).
. UNIT CONVERSION
• Factory default unit is m (fig. F).
• Press and hold to switch unit from m to ft (fig. G).
• Press and hold once more to switch the unit from ft to in (fig. H).
Note: Press and hold to change the unit of measurement, the value will
change accordingly at the same time if there is a measurement value.
When the unit is m2, press and hold , and the unit will change from m2to
ft2, in2.
When the unit is m3, press and hold , and the unit will change from m3to
ft3, in3.
When switching on the device at a later time, it will remember the last
measurement unit you used.
. CHANGING THE MEASUREMENT MODE
• Default setting of measurement is Single Measurement Mode (fig. I).
• Briefly press to switch to Area Measurement Mode (fig. J).
• Briefly press once more to switch to Volume Measurement Mode
(fig. K).
• Briefly press once more to switch to Single Pythagorean Theorem
Measurement Mode (fig. L).
• Briefly press once more to switch to Dual Pythagorean Theorem
Measurement Mode (fig. M).
• Briefly press once more to switch to Historical Data Review Mode, the
last measuring data will be displayed (fig. N).
Note: At this Historical Data Review Mode, there will be some measuring data
that result from factory tests. It does not mean this device has been used.
. SWITCHING OFF
• The device can be switched off at any time by pressing and holding .
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
Also see figures O to X on page 1 of this manual.
. SINGLE MEASUREMENT
• At the Single Measurement Mode, aim the laser onto the target.
• Briefly press . The measuring result will be displayed immediately
(fig. O).
. CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENT
• At the Single Measurement Mode only, aim the laser onto the target.
• Press and hold to enter the continuous measurement mode. The Max.
measuring value, Min. measuring value and Current measuring value will
be displayed in the screen (fig. P).
. AREA MEASUREMENT
• At the Area Measurement Mode, aim the laser onto the target.
• Briefly press to measure the two side lengths of the target
respectively, and the calculated value of the area will be displayed (fig. Q).
. VOLUME MEASUREMENT
• At the Volume Measurement Mode, aim the laser onto the target.
• Briefly press to measure 3 lengths of the dimensional target orderly.
• The calculated value of the volume will be displayed immediately (fig. R).
Note: the length value of the third side is not shown on the screen, as the
screen is only able to display three lines.
.SINGLEPYTHAGOREAN THEOREMMEASUREMENT
• At Single Pythagorean Theorem Measurement Mode, aim the laser onto
the target.
• Briefly press to measure the length of the hypotenuse and right-angle
side of a right triangle.
• The calculated value of the height of the right triangle is immediately
shown on the screen (fig. S).
.DUALPYTHAGOREAN THEOREMMEASUREMENT
• At Dual Pythagorean Theorem Measurement Mode, aim the laser onto
the target.
• Briefly press to measure the length of the hypotenuse, right-angle
side and other hypotenuse of a triangle orderly.
• The calculated value of the total height is immediately shown on the
screen as shown in figure T.
Note: the length values of other hypotenuses are not shown on the screen, as
the screen is only able to display three lines.
. HISTORICAL DATA REVIEW AND DELETE
• At Historical Data Review Mode, the last measurement is the most up
to date,
• Briefly press to move forward through the measurements.
• Briefly press to move backward through the measurements.
• Briefly press to delete the measurements one by one.
• Historical Data range: 0-19.
