1. GENERAL
The B100 series comprise accurate, fast and multi-task scales with piececounter,
percentage and checkweigher functions.
The range includes 4 models with capacity up to 30 kg, they are all mounted on a
base in ABS and a stainless steel weighing platform, keyboards are all water proof with
membrane keys and the backlighted liquid crystal displays (LCD) are large to make
reading easier.
All instruments come with automatic zero tracking, acoustic alarm for the
checkweigher mode and storage function for the counting which can be recalled as
accrued total.
2. KEYS
Zero or
Sets the scale to zero for the following weighing operations. Zero is displayed.
Secondary function: "Enter" key in the parameter settings or other functions.
Tare or
Inserts a tare. Stores the current weight as tare value, subtracts it from the weight
and displays the result, that is the net weight.
Secondary function: shifts to the next digit while entering values for parameters
or other functions.
Lim or or CHK
Sets the limits for the Checkweigher function. It allows the setting of the upper limit,
lower limit or both.
Secondary function: shifts to the right the active digit while setting values for
parameters or other functions.
%
Activates the Percentage mode. Allows the visualization of weight, unit weight and
counting in the Piececounter mode.
Secondary function: shifts to the left the active digit while setting values for
parameters or other functions.
Func or or F
Selects the scale function. If the current scale mode is Weighing, it selects the
Piececounter mode. If the scale is not in the weighing mode, it selects the weighing
mode.
Secondary function: ( C) acts as a deleting key for the cancellation while setting
values for parameters or other functions.
Print or
Adds the current value to the stored total.
Secondary function: (ESC) takes back the scale to the normal operation when in
parameter setting mode.
U or UNIT
This key selects kilograms, pounds, ounces as unit of measurement.

3. OPERATING MODES
3. 1 DISPLAY ZEROING
It is possible to press the ZERO key to set the scale to zero for all subsequent
weighing operations within 4% of the power on. This is usually necessary whenever the
scale is empty. Upon zero setting, the scale displays the zero indication.
The scale comes with an automatic zeroing function in case slight drifs are detected
or some material has accumulated on the platform. Anyway, press the ZERO key to set
the scale to zero whenever a small value is displayed when the platform is empty.
3. 2 TARE CAPTURE
If necessary, set the scale to zero pressing ZERO. The zero indication appears.
Place a container on the platform, the value of its weight is displayed.
Press TARE to capture a tare. The displayed weight is stored as tare value, then
subtracted and zero is displayed. The indication "NET" appears. Only the weight of the
products added on the scale is displayed. It is possible to insert another tare in case a
second product has to be weighed. Again, only the weight added after the tare caption is
displayed.
Upon removal of the container, a negative value is displayed. If the scale has
captured a tare just before the removal of the full container, the value is the gross weight.
The zero indication is on as the platform is again in the condition it was before ZERO was
pressed.

3. 3 SAMPLE
To determine the weight of a sample it is necessary to save the tare of the empty
container, then add the sample to the container. Their weight and unit of measurement
currently in use are displayed.
3. 4 PERCENTAGE MODE
The scale allows to a sample weight to be displayed as 100%. Any other weight
placed on the scale is then displayed as a percentage of the sample weight. For example,
if 350g are put on the scale and the %key is pressed, the display shows 100.00%.
If the 350g weight is replaced by 300g, the display shows 85.71% as 300g is 85.71%
of 350g.
Note: it can happen that the scale performs big increments in case small samples have
been used to set 100%. For example, if there are only 23.5g on the scale with division
0.5g to set 100%, 100.00% is displayed, and a slight change of weight causes the scale
to display 102.13% as an increase of a division, that is 0.5g (24.0g) is equivalent to an
increase of 2.13%.
Press the % key to enable the Percentage mode and press FUNC to return to the
Weighing mode.

3. 5 PIECECOUNTER MODE
Before getting started, store the tare of every container to be used leaving the
container empty on the scale. Place the intended quantity of samples on the scale
selecting one of the options: 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 pieces.
Press the FUNC key. The scale displays "P 10" to ask for a sample comprising 10
pieces. To change the sample dimension press the TARE key. The display scrolls
cyclically the following options: 10,20, 50, 100, 200 and returns to 10.
Press the ZERO key when the number matches the quantity of pieces used as
sample. Adding weight, the display shows the number of pieces (pcs).
Press the %key to see the unit weight (g/pcs), total weight (kg) or the counting (pcs).
Press the FUNC key to return to the normal weighing mode.
3. 6 CHECKWEIGHER MODE
The Checkweiher mode activates an alarm whenever the weight on the scale
reaches or exceeds the set values included between an upper limit and a lower limit.
Limits can be used individually or at the same time.
Press the LIMIT key. The current Upper Limit is displayed, its left digit flashing and the
symbol HI on the left of the display. To modify the displayed value, use the % and LIMIT
key to select the digit to be changed. Then pressing the TARE key, move along the active
digits. Press ZERO when the number is correct to enter the value. To set the value to
zero, press the FUNC key which deletes it.
After pressing ZERO the Lower Limit is displayed, the symbol LO appears on the left
of the display.
Follow the same procedure to set the lower limit.
After pressing ZERO the scale returns to the Weighing mode with the Checkweigher
mode activated.
Loading the scale with a weight outside the limits, causes arrows to appear and the
alarm activates as previously described.
BOTH LIMITS SET
OK is displayed and the acoustic alarm activates if the weight is inside the
limits.
LOWER LIMIT SET, UPPER LIMIT equals zero
OK is displayed and the acoustic alarm activates if the weight is under the
Lower Limit. Above the lower limit, HIGH is displayed and the alarm is not
activated.
UPPER LIMIT SET, LOWER LIMIT equals zero
LOW is displayed and the alcoustic alarm does not go off if the weight is
under the Upper Limit. Above the Upper Limit OK is displayed and the
acoustic alarm is activated.
BOTH LIMITS SET. LOW value higher than HIGH
The alarm does not go off and LOW is displayed in case the weight is under
the Lower Limit and HIGH in case the weight is above the Lower Limit.
Note: A proper Checkweigher operation is possible only if the weight is heavier than
20 divisions. To disable the Checkweigher mode, enter zero in both limits pressing FUNC
when the current limits are displayed, then press ZERO to save.
Note: it is possible to set the upper/lower limits in all modes: normal, percentage and
piececounter.

3. 7 GENERAL TOTAL
The scale can totalize weights pressing PRINT.
3. 8 TOTALIZATION
The displayed weight is stored pressing PRINT when the weight is stable.
"ACC 1" is displayed, then the stored total for 2 seconds.
Remove the weight, let the scale returns to zero and load another weight. Press
PRINT, "ACC 2" is displayed before the new total.
Keep adding articles until all weights have been loaded.
To see the stored totals, press PRINT when the scale is at zero. The total number of
articles "ACC xx" is displayed and the total weight as well before returning to zero.
To clear the memory press PRINT to display the totals, then press FUNC to clear the
memory.
Up to 99 products can be stored placing a product on the scale and pressing PRINT
or to the capacity of the display.
4. BATTERY OPERATION
The scale can be battery operated. The battery has an approximately 80 hour life
span.
When the battery needs to be recharged, the arrow above the low battery symbol
under the weight display is on. The battery must be recharged as soon as the arrow
above the symbol appears. The scale operates for one hour, then it automatically
switches off in order to protect the battery.
To recharge the battery plug it in the power network. It is not necessary for the scale
to be on.
The battery needs 12 hours to fully recharge.
Under the display, a LED informs about the battery status. When the scale is
connected to the power network, the built in battery is recharging. If the LED is green, the
battery is completely charged. If it is red, the battery is almost flat. Using the battery can
cause it to fail full recharge. If the battery life span becomes unacceptable, please contact
the dealer.
