RTS80.70 programming timer switch
With this weekly timer, It is possible to set 6 individual on/off events per day which can be copied for all 7 days
or you can have days 1-5 the same with a different schedule for the weekends. Factory settings are programmed
for 3 events to obtain 6 you will need to set up the program by following the advanced settings information .You
can also select the permanent “manual override mode” or the single event “comfort mode”. The timer
switch is recommended for using together with a mechanical thermostat & the wiring box H-Box12.
Manual override mode
When the clock symbol is showing the timer on and off
cycles are automatically controlled
To override and gain manual control press the
menu button until the hand symbol appears.
The timer is now under permanent manual control.
Press to turn the appliance controlled by the
timer manually on/off.
The timer has the facility to operate 6 on and 6 off
events. Factory settings provide the popular 3 on and
3 off combination. Press the menu button until
the clock symbol appears. The timer will now
automatically operate according to the Factory
programmed settings.
Press key for 5 seconds until the day starts blinking,
use the or key to set the day, press the key
to confirm the setting and the hours will start blinking,
use or press to confirm the setting and the
minutes will start blinking, use or to set the min-
utes, press to confirm. The timer will return to normal
working.
Single period manual override
“comfort mode”
You can change from automatic to manual control
for a single period ONLY when the clock symbol is
showing. Press or and the hand symbol will appear
alongside the clock symbol. Press again and the
heating symbol will appear or disappear. The timer will
reset to auto mode at the next event.
Key lock function
Press the key to switch on or to switch off the timer.
Press both the and together for 5 secs to engage/
disengage the key lock function. If the key lock symbol is
visible the function is ON if has disappeared it is OFF.

symbol appears. The timer will now automatically operate

period, ONLY when the clock symbol is showing. Press or
and the hand symbol will appear alongside the clock
symbol. Press again and the heating symbol will appear or
disappear. The timer will reset to auto mode at the next
heating event.
Key lock function
Once the timer has been set, press both the and buttons
together for 5 seconds to display . Timer is now locked.
Repeat these steps to unlock the timer.

Press button for 5 seconds until the day starts blinking, use

Set programme time

Programming: 6 heating events Daily/Weekly Timer
Press the menu button for 5 seconds to start the programming. If a
time is showing already, this is the factory setting. To unset press the
clock button, the symbol “ - - : - - ” will appear. The symbol “ - - : - - ”
means that the time period is not programmed. Press the clock
button and an ON time will appear for period 1. The hours and minutes
can be changed using the and buttons. Then press the menu
button again to set the OFF time for period 1. The hours and minutes can
be changed using the and buttons. Press the menu button
again to work through each of the time periods as above. Note - for any
time periods not set on and off to “ - - : - - ”
If you have selected 5/2 (Monday to Friday and weekend) you will first
programme time periods for Mon-Fri (1-5) and then weekend (6 & 7).
Note there are just 2 time periods for weekend setting and
Advanced Settings
To enter the advanced setting TURN THE THERMOSTAT OFF BY
PRESSING ON / OFF BUTTON BEFORE STARTING.
Then press the menu button and on/off button simultaneously,
switching on the thermostat to enter into the advanced settings mode.
In this mode the clock can be set to ‘5 / 2’ (Mon-Fri & Weekend), ‘6 /1’
(Mon-Sat & Sun) OR ‘7’day (Mon-Sun). Press or to select option required.
To leave the Advanced Settings program, press and the timer will
return to normal.
