Patient is sedated and relaxed

Press and hold the play button
to enable continuous TOF mode.
The repeat timer (4) will indicate
the time left before the next
stimulation sequence starts.
Choose different stimulation modes
for deep neuromuscular blocks by
pressing the mode button.
Hold for 2 sec
Patient is sedated during neuromuscular recovery

Monitor the patient during
the recovery phase with the
continuous TOF mode.
Ensure that the TOF Ratio is
equal or more than 90% to
eliminate residual curarization.

When the patient is sedated and unrelaxed

Turn the device on by
pressing the power button
Adjust the current (if needed)
with the adjustment wheel.
Press the ENTER button to
confirm the new current.
Connect the ECG clips to the
NMBA electrode. Place the 3D
accelerometer on the patient’s
thumb, using the strap to
secure it. Make sure there is
enough space for the thumb to
move freely.
Press the play button to
initiate the TOF sequence.
The actual current delivered (1) and the
TOF Ratio (3) will be displayed on the
screen. A refractory timer (2) will indicate
the time needed for the nerve to recover
before another stimulation is allowed.
Place the NMBA electrode on
the patient’s ulnar nerve. The
placement of the electrode can also
be confirmed by using the mapping
function on the STIMPOD.
Connect the NMBA cable to the
STIMPOD.
Recall the last current setting by
pressing the enter button.
