OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Vacuum the high efficiency fiber filters on the back and top of the
unit without removing them. This will help ensure dust doesn’t get
into the unit when cleaning the other filters.
2. Reaching inside the work area, vacuum the high efficiency fiber
filters that cover the fans (top and back) to remove any debris that
could hinder efficient air flow.
3. Clean the work area (including the silicone mat) with the dust
removal roller and/or any other anti-static cleaning tools.
Note: If the unit is not cleaned regularly dust will swirl around the work
area.
This unit has two sets of air flow fans. The set of fans on the top of the
unit pulls air flow into the workspace, the second set of fans on the back
of the unit pulls air out the back of the unit. Each of these set of fans can
be controlled independently, allowing you to optimize it for the type of
work being done.
4. Once all dust has been removed from the area and unit, the fans
can be turned on using the Air Adjust knobs on the left side of the
unit.
Note: It is not necessary to run the fans at max power the entire time.
Running the fans at max power will decrease the life of the fan
motors and a higher speed can cause dust to swirl around the
work area. A slower fan speed can help to ensure dust is moved

away and not swirled around the work area, while increasing the
life of the fan motors.
This device comes with two lighting options. 1) Work Lights - bright
LEDs that ensure the work area is brightly lit for a clear crisp view of the
device and 2) Dust Detection Lights - Green LEDs that allow for easy
dust detection while working to ensure no dust gets inside of the device
being repaired. Both lights are adjustable for user preference and work
situation.
5. The dual lighting system is activated with the switches on the right
side of the unit. Each light can be operated independently. The
light intensity can be adjusted using the Light Adjustment knobs.
6. Power the fans on to a medium setting and let them run for 5 -10
minutes to ensure that there is no dust or other particles left in the
work area.

MAINTENANCE

FIBER FILTERS

attached to the unit covers on the top and back and under the fans
inside the unit.

dust.
• If the fiber filters require more than vacuuming will provide, they

dry fully before being placed back in the unit.
