Purpose of this manual
The purpose of this manual is to provide necessary information for product
installation, operation and maintenance.
User safety
General safety rules
• Always keep work area clean.
• Pay attention to the risks presented by gas and vapors in the work area.
• Avoid all electrical dangers. Pay attention to the risks of electric shock or
arc flash hazards.
• Always bear in mind the risk of drowning, electrical accidents and burn injuries.
CAUTION: Read this manual carefully before installing, using or
servicing this product. Failure to follow the instructions within this
manual could result in explosion, property damage, severe personal
injury and/or death.
WARNING: All wire connections should be made using heat shrink
butt connectors, high grade waterproof wire connectors or other means
of creating a water proof juncture. Failure to perform this action may
reduce the flow and/or damage the pump.
WARNING: This pump is designed for use with fresh water and salt
waterONLY.Use with any other hazardous, caustic, or corrosive material
could result in damage to the pump and the surrounding environment,
possible exposure to hazardous substances and injury.
WARNING:Yourpump hasthermal over-loadprotection builtin. It is
not recommended for pumping liquids over 120ºF (49ºC). The thermal
overload protector will automatically shut off the pump in an overheat
situation resetting itself once the pump cools. This overloadis designed
as a safety device and it will fail after repeated use. Normal operation is
for fluids between 34ºF (1ºC) & 120ºF (49ºC).
DO NOT RUN THE PUMP DRY. The pump depends on water for cooling
and lubrication. Operating thepump without watermay cause themotor
to overheat or cause damage to parts of the pump. It may also shorten
the life of your pump.
WARNING: Do not use the power cord or discharge hose to carry
or handle the pump. Doing so may cause damage to the power cord
or discharge hose. Use the carrying handle supplied with the pump.
WARNING: Do not use if the assembly presents damage such as
burned orexposed wires, orother physicaldamage. Contact your installer
or sales rep for further instruction.
CAUTION:Disconnect power from thesystem before working on the
unit to avoid personal injury, damage to the surrounding environment
and/or damage to the unit.

All potential sources of ignition located in spaces containing gasoline powered
machineryorgasolinefueltank(s),orjointfitting(s),orother connection(s),between
components of a gasoline system, shall be ignition protected in accordance with
therequirements of ISO 10133, ABYCE-11,AC andDCElectrical SystemsOnBoats.
Electrical
Disconnect power before installing or servicing the pump.
Our pump isequipped with silicone blocked, tincoated 14 gauge (2.5 mm2) wire.
Please follow the table below when extending the wires.

This pump must be fused with a 25A fuse for each motor
The table above is based on the ABYC AWG WIRE SIZE CHART representing data
in a non-critical circuit where a 10% voltage drop is acceptable. Please refer to
the latest ABYC AWG WIRE SIZE CHART for information for use in a critical circuit
where a 3% voltage drop is required.
Special Note – If the fuse opens, check the following:
1. Remove the pump and check the impeller housing for debris. Remove
debris, replace fuse and continue operation.
2. Check all wiring in the circuit for corrosion, breaks, or short circuits. If no
debris is present and the wiring is in good condition, contact a qualified
marine technician or consider replacing the pump. Do not replace the fuse
with a higher rated fuse, using a fuse with a higher rating may result in
damage to the pump and/or the surrounding area.
If no debris is present and the wiring is in good condition, contact a qualified
marine technician or consider replacing the pump.
CAUTION: Always install proper fuse size to prevent damage to
product should ashort occur. Failure to install proper fuse could increase
risk of pump malfunction potentially resulting in personal injury and/
or fire hazard.
CAUTION: Keep all wire connections above the highest water level.
Wires must be joined with butt connectors and a marine grade sealant
to prevent wire corrosion.

Plumbing
This pump hasbeen designed to beused with flexiblehose. Rigid piping ortubing
may damage the pump or the pump’s discharge.
Factors that reduce the flow of a pump may include but are not limited to the
following:
• The length of discharge piping (longer runs reduce flow)
• The number or radius of bends
• The roughness of the interior surfaces of piping and fittings (smooth bore
hose is best)
• The reduction (hose restriction) in cross-sectional area of discharge system
components such as check valves and thru-hulls
Attach the discharge hose to the hose barb using stainless steel hose clamps.
Best practice – Use two stainless steel hose clamps to attach hose to hose barb.
Periodically remove, clean and inspectthe pumpand its surroundings fordamage
or debris that may reduce the performance of the pump.

Attaching Pump to Vehicle Battery
Always consult the vehicles owners’ manual to determine if the vehicle has a
positive or negative grounding system.
1. Connect the wire harness to the pump until you hear the wire connect click.
2. Attach non-collapsible hose to pump using standard hose clamp.
3. Place pump in water.
4. Connect the red cable clamp the positive (+) terminal.
5. Connect the black cable clamp to ground, preferably to a solid, metallic
stationary point on the engine.
6. Push switch to the “ON” position.
Each motor contains a thermal cut off (TCO) that disconnects the motor from
electricity in case debris jams the motor. In the event the TCO shuts down the
motor, turn the switch off, disconnect the wires from the battery, and allow the
motor to cool. Oncethe motor has cooled, removeanydebriscaught in the impeller,
reconnect the battery clamps and resume operation.
Never attempt toincreasethe lengthof the power cables (R-3005) orfix adamaged
cable assembly.

ou d’éclair d’arc électrique.
• Gardez toujours à l’esprit les risques de noyade, d’accidents électriques et de
brûlures.
ATTENTION: Lisez attentivement ce manuel avant d’installer,
d’utiliser ou d’entretenir ce produit. Le non-respect des instructions
contenues dans ce manuel peut entraîner une explosion, endommager
le matériel, provoquer des blessures graves et/ou la mort.
AVERTISSEMENT: Toutes les connexions de fils doivent être
réalisées à l’aide de connecteurs bout à bout thermorétractables, de
connecteurs de fils étanches de qualité supérieure ou d’autres moyens

AVERTISSEMENT: Cette pompe est conçue pour une utilisation
avec de l’eau douce et de l’eau salée UNIQUEMENT. L’utilisation avec
toute matièredangereuse,caustique oucorrosivepeutendommager la
pompe et nuire àl’environnement,exposer àdes substances dangereuses
et causer des blessures.
AVERTISSEMENT: Votre pompe est dotée d’uneprotection contre
la surchargethermique. Elle n’est pasrecommandéepour le pompage de
liquides dontlatempérature estsupérieure à49°C(120°F). Le dispositif
deprotectioncontreles surchargesthermiques arrête automatiquement
la pompe encasdesurchauffe et seréinitialiselorsque lapompe refroidit.
Cette fonction de surcharge est conçuecommeundispositif de sécuritéet
ellecessera après une utilisation répétée. L’usage normalprévu concerne
les fluides entre 1°C (34ºF) et 49°C (120ºF).
NE FAITESPAS FONCTIONNER LA POMPE ÀSEC. La pompe abesoin d’eau
pour son refroidissement et sa lubrification. Utiliser la pompe sans eau
peut entraîner une surchauffe dumoteur ou endommager des pièces de
la pompe. Cela peut également réduire la durée de vie de votre pompe.

Toutesles sources d’inflammation potentielles situées dansles espacescontenant
des machines à essence ou des réservoirs d’essence, ou des raccords ou autres
connexions entre lescomposants d’un système àessence, doivent être protégées
contre l’inflammation conformément aux exigences desnormes ISO 10133, ABYC
E-11, Systèmes électriques CA et CC sur bateaux.
Électricité
Coupez le courant avant d’installer ou d’entretenir la pompe.
Notrepompe est équipée d’un filde calibre 14(2,5mm

Le tableau ci-dessus est basé sur le TABLEAU DE TAILLES DE FIL ABYC AWG
représentant des données dans un circuit non critique où une chute de tension
de 10% est acceptable. Veuillez vous référer au dernier TABLEAU DE TAILLES DE
FIL ABYC AWG pour des informations sur l’utilisation dans un circuit critique où
une chute de tension de 3% est requise.
Note spéciale – Si le fusible saute, vérifiez les points suivants:
1. Retirez la pompe et vérifiez l’absence de débris dans le logement de la
turbine. Retirez les débris, remplacez le fusible et poursuivez l’opération.
2. Vérifiez l’absence de corrosion, de fissures ou de court-circuit sur tout
le câblage du circuit. Si aucun débris n’est présent et que le câblage est
en bon état, contactez un technicien maritime qualifié ou envisagez de
remplacer la pompe. Ne remplacez pas le fusible par un fusible de valeur
nominale supérieure: cela peut entraîner des dommages à la pompe et/ou
à la zone environnante.
AVERTISSEMENT: N’utilisez pas le cordon d’alimentation ou le
tuyaud’évacuation pour transporter oumanipuler lapompe. Cela pourrait
endommagerle cordond’alimentationoule tuyaud’évacuation.Utilisez
la poignée de transport fournie avec la pompe.
AVERTISSEMENT: N’utilisez pas l’assemblage s’il présente des
dommages tels que des fils brûlés ouapparents, oud’autres dommages
physiques.Contactez votre installateur ou votre représentantcommercial
pour obtenir des instructions supplémentaires.
ATTENTION : Débranchez l’alimentation du système avant
de travailler sur le groupe afin d’éviter les blessures, d’affecter
l’environnement et/ou d’endommager le dispositif.

Si aucun débris n’est présent et que le câblage est en bon état, contactez un
technicien maritime qualifié ou envisagez de remplacer la pompe.
Plomberie
Cette pompe aété conçue pour être utilisée avec untuyau flexible. Lestuyauteries
ou les tubesrigides peuvent endommager lapompe ou l’évacuationde lapompe.
Les facteurs qui réduisent le débit d’une pompe peuvent inclure, entre autres,
les éléments suivants:
• La longueur de la tuyauterie d’évacuation (les longueurs plus importantes
réduisent le débit)
• Le nombre ou l’angle des coudes
• La rugosité des surfaces intérieures de la tuyauterie et des raccords (un
tuyau à alésage lisse est préférable)
• La réduction (restriction du tuyau) de la section transversale des
composants du système de décharge tels que les clapets de retenue et les
passe-coques
Fixez le tuyau d’évacuation à la cannelure du tuyau à l’aide de colliers de serrage
en acier inoxydable.
Meilleurepratique –Utilisez deux colliers de serrageenacier inoxydable pour
fixer le tuyau à l’embout.
Démontez, nettoyezet inspectezpériodiquementlapompe et son environnement
pour détecter tout dommage ou débris qui pourrait réduire les performances
de la pompe.
ATTENTION:Installez toujours unfusible decapacité appropriée pour
éviter d’endommager le produit en cas de court-circuit. Ne pas installer
un fusible approprié peut augmenter le risque de dysfonctionnement
de la pompe et, par conséquent, causer des blessures et/ou un risque
d’incendie.
ATTENTION: Maintenez toutes les connexions de fils au-dessus
du niveau d’eau le plus élevé. Les fils doivent être reliés à l’aide de
connecteurs bout à bout et d’un produit d’étanchéité de qualité marine
pour éviter leur corrosion.
