6. Functions
(1) Zero reset function: Resets the indication to zero (within ± 1.9% of weighing capacity).
(2) One-touch tare function: Conducts the one-touch tare function.
(3) Automatic OFF function:
The power is automatically turned OFF when the STABLE sign has
been turned ON for a preset time during the use of batteries.
(4) Checkweighing function:
Evaluates the weighed items as “underweight,” “proper weight,” or
“overweight” starting from the indication of zero.
(5) Gross/Net switching function:
When the tare function is enabled, the indication can be switched
between gross weight and net weight.
(6) LED lighting function:
The Evaluation LED light comes on depending on the weight level:
underweight, proper weight, or overweight.

Operation keys
Power ON/OFF key
Press this key to turn the power ON.
To turn the power OFF, hold down this key until it does.
If the upper and lower limits are set for the checkweighing function, the
checkweighing function starts.
Gross/Net switching key
If you wish to confirm the gross weight with the tare function enabled, press this key
to switch the indicated value between the gross and net weights.
This key can also be used to register various setting values.
Easy Program Set key
Press this key to set a target value with a single action.
This key can also be used to register various setting values.

If you wish to use the checkweighing function, hold down this key to start setting a
target value.
This key can also be used to decrease various setting values by 1.
Tare key
Press this key to show the weight of a container as zero. Then the system subtracts
the weight as tare.
This key can also be used to increase various setting values by 1.
Zero Reset key
If the indication is deviated from zero before weight measurement, press this key to
reset it to zero.
This key can also be used to register an input value of user parameters and switch
to the next screen.

Press both keys simultaneously. System enters the user parameter setting
mode, where you can set various user parameters.

Press both keys simultaneously to toggle among kilogram, pound, ounce and
pound/ ounce indications.

3. How to use test mode and set the parameters
3-1. How to enter test mode
To enter test mode, remove the sealing screws next to the battery box and press the deep-set switch inside the
small round hole with a pointed nonconductive object. The panel will show decuple-precision weight values.
3-2. How to view information in test mode
In test mode you can confirm the following information.
Press or to cycle through the following indications.

scale interval used in normal
mode, up to a weighing capacity of
30000 to 64000 counts.
2. INIT
Initial Value
→
Displays the internal counts of the
load applied to the platform when
nothing is placed on the weighing
platform. The value changes if the
zero resetting or the zero tracking
is performed.
3. RAW
Raw Count 1
→
Displays a value obtained as a
result of AD conversion.
4. RAW2
Raw Count 2
→
Displays a value obtained by
averaging the values of the Raw
Count 1.
5. ADC0
Option check
→
Displays the status of internal
correction made by the AD
converter.

3-3. How to set a user parameter and the user parameter table
The parameters of the DP-6900 are divided into 3 groups, “User Parameters,” “Dealer Parameters,” and
“System Parameters.” In test mode you can change any of the parameters. In normal mode where a weight is
displayed, you can change user parameters only.
(1) User parameters
With the user parameters, the users can change the functions of the instrument according to their
specifications.
◊How to set a user parameter
Operation Display
Press and at the same time.
The panel shows the user parameter #01 and its setting.

Use the following keys when you set user parameters.
:Switches to the next
parameter. :Increases the parameter setting by 1 : Decreases the parameter setting by 1.
(TIPS)
Hold down and press to return to the previous parameter (Pressing these keys
when the parameter is #01 switches the parameter to #P4).
When the setting value is flashing, press to shift the focus to the parameter number, which
then flashes. Hold down or at this point to move the parameter number fast forward.
Press again to enter a setting value.

(IMPORTANT)
When you have changed a setting, be sure to press to switch to the next parameter before
turning off the power.
Unless you switch to the next parameter, any changes you made to the setting will be lost.
