1. Intr ducti n
The ZT-TRI-WLK is a high quality three-wheel walker available in three metallic colours. The
walkers are designed to aid the user to walk and, as an option, carry items such as shopping.
The walkers are suitable or everyday indoor & outdoor use. They are lightweight & portable
whilst o ering stability & security to the user.
The ZT-TRI-WLK walkers are manu actured to the highest quality standards & are CE marked
as Medical Devices.

• Ensure that the handles are at equal heights & securely locked in position.
• Adopt a com ortable posture so that you can operate the braking mechanism with ease.
• Ensure the walker is always ully olded out & locked be ore using.
• Ensure that the braking mechanism is adequate & test be ore using.
• Ensure that all the wheels are stable & are on the ground be ore using.
• Do not use the walker on gradients o 7° / 1 in 8 or above
• Ensure that the latest health & sa ety practice is used or carrying & li ting items.

4. Assembling the Tri-Walker
NOTE: The brakes are actory set & may not require initial adjustment. For technical assistance
on the brakes, contact your local Z-Tec dealer.
1. Remove all packaging rom the Tri-Walker.
2. Fold out the Tri-Walker by pulling the rear wheels apart so the
walker looks like the photograph in the Parts Description. Then
push down the bar in the middle to lock the walker open (situated
at the ront centre).
3. Insert the handles as
shown by A until the re-
quired height o the handles
is reached, put the bolt
through the hole rom the
inside & locate the head o
the bolt in the hexagonal
recess in the inside o down
tube B, add the curved
washer on to the bolt pro-
truding through the outside
o the down tube, then lo-
cate the black star knob see
C & securely asten turning
the knob clock wise.

4. The shopping bag is secured
by putting the laps around the
our tubes o the Tri-Walker &
then using the press-studs to hold
it in place.
The basket is hooked on the
hooks situated on the ront at the
same height as the star knobs on
the Tri-Walker handles.

5. Brake Operati n & Brake Maintenance
To operate the locking arthritic loop brakes
1. Squeeze the brake lever up to engage the brake (E in the up-
wards direction as shown in the photo).
2. To lock the brakes, push down on the brake lever until it
locks (F downwards arrow).
3. To unlock the brakes, pull up on brake lever until
the lock disengages (see upwards arrow marked as
G).

To old the Tri-Walker or trans-
portation, unhook the basket and
pull the middle locking bar
upwards, the Tri-Walker is then
ready or transport.

7. Maintenance
• Ensure the Tri-Walker is used only as an aid or mobility
• Ensure the Tri-Walker is kept clean. Wipe down with a damp cloth on a monthly basis.
• Check the moving parts (e.g. wheels & height adjustment) monthly.
• Ensure that the brakes are working correctly.
• All the asteners (screws, nuts & bolts) are to be checked monthly to ensure they are
securely tightened.
• Check that the ront castor wheel swivels reely. Withdraw rom use i it does not work.
• Only use an approved Z-Tec dealer or any maintenance & repairs on your 3 wheel TRI-
Walker.
8. Warranty
To improve the sa ety & li espan o your Tri-Walker, it is recommended that you have it serviced on a annual
basis by an authorised dealer. Z-Tec Tri-Walkers are guaranteed or 12 months rom the date o purchase, this
warranty is not trans erable. Should any part o the walker require repair or ull or part replacement, as a
result o a manu acturing or material de ect within the warranty period, parts will be supplied ree o charge. The
guarantee excludes tyres & all items that have been subjected to undue wear & misuse. Under normal circum-
stances, no responsibility will be accepted where the walker has not been maintained in accordance with the
manu actures recommendations. This does not a ect your statutory rights.
I any other issues arise that are not mentioned in this user manual please write to the address below.
Disp sal—Contact your local authority to dispose o the Tri-Walker when no longer required.
The braking system will periodically require adjustment. To do this
release the locking nut & screw out the cable adjuster until the brake
arm clears the wheel by approx. 2mm. Retighten locking nut & re-
peat on other brake mechanism. With both wheels o the ground &
the brakes disengaged check that they spin reely & do not rub the
brake arm.
