SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION
When laying the electrical cables, make sure that they are not kinked or twisted, do not rub against
edges. Also do not lay them through sharp-edged bushings or holes without protection. Secure laid
cables against possible mechanical tensile stresses.
ATTENTION
Fasten the ZE-MRV70 monitor in such a way that it cannot come loose under any circumstances
and thus cause injury to vehicle occupants. Do not attach the ZE-MRV70 monitor in the vicinity of
airbags, otherwise there is a risk of injury.
CAUTION
Always disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before working on the vehicle's electrical
system, to prevent damage to the electrical system. Vehicles that feature an additional auxiliary
battery, the second battery must also be disconnected.
CAUTION
The ZE-MRV70 monitor must not obstruct visibility when driving and must not hinder or restrict the
driver when driving the vehicle.
CAUTION
Be careful not to allow water or other liquids to enter the ZE-MRV70 monitor housing. The monitor is
not protected against water entering the housing by its IP60 rating, which could result in a short circuit.
CAUTION
Do not expose the ZE-MRV70 monitor to continuous direct sunlight, severe temperature fluctuations,
or very high humidity.
CAUTION
Distraction of the driver may cause accidents resulting in injury. The operation of the ZENEC system
while driving may distract the driver from the general traffic situation!
CAUTION
Improper installation or commissioning of the ZENEC system may result in damage to the ZENEC
item or the vehicle electronics. Thus, have the device installed by qualified specialists authorized by
ZENEC only.
CAUTION
Do not use any cleaning agents or chemicals to clean the screen. A cloth lightly moistened with
glass cleaner is perfectly sufficient for cleaning of the monitor surface.
CAUTION
This ZENEC system is exclusively designed for operation with an on-board voltage of 12 V to 24 V
direct current. If the ZENEC system is operated with other on-board voltages or AC, this may result
in damage to the ZENEC system or the on-board power supply.
CAUTION
Disassembling or modifying the ZENEC system may result in damage to the device or the vehicle.
Opening the device for modification by a person not authorized by ZENEC will void the warranty.
In the event of a malfunction or fault, please contact an authorized ZENEC dealer. Unauthorized
repairs will void the warranty.
CAUTION
The rear view camera system does not exempt you from careful maneuvering. Please always adapt
your speed and driving style to the respective visibility, weather, road and traffic conditions.

MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
• Do not mount the ZE-MRV70 monitor near airbags, otherwise the ZE-MRV70 monitor may cause
injury in case of an accident.
• Ensure the correct connection voltage in the vehicle! The ZE-MRV70 is rated for operation with
+12 to 24 V to vehicle ground ("GND").
• A suitable mounting location should provide the driver with an unobstructed view of the ZE-
MRV70 monitor, and at the same time the ZE-MRV70 monitor should not obstruct the driver's view
while driving, nor impede / restrict the driver while driving the vehicle.
• The mounting location should be as level as possible and provide sufficient depth for attaching
the screws without endangering electrical lines underneath the mounting surface during the
installation.
1. Attach the ZE-MRV70 monitor to the mounting foot. To do this, slide the screw of the stand into the
rail on the back of the ZE-MRV70 monitor. Hand-tighten the fixation knob and the tilt adjustment
knob.
2. Place the ZE-MRV70 monitor assembled with mounting foot in the location intended for mounting.
Note, that the bottom side of the mounting foot is self-adhesive and comes with four pre-drilled
2.5 mm dia. holes for fixation of the monitor assembly. Optimize for good unobstructed view of
driver for traffic and good view of the ZE-MRV70 monitor itself.
3. Mark the four drill holes with a felt-tip pen.
4. Pre-drill the four holes for the mounting screws of the stand using a 2.5 mm drill bit. Peel off the
foil backing of the self-adhesive bottom of the mounting foot.
5. Place the monitor with stand over the marked and pre-drilled holes and press down firmly, to stick
to the surface. Now fasten the base with four self-tapping screws of a length suitable to match with
the mounting surface depth.
6. Now adjust the monitor tilt and tighten up both knobs of the monitor stand firmly.

2. Connect the ground wire to a suitable ground point in the vehicle.
3. Next, connect the red +12V-24V line to the power supply of the monitor with a cable carrying
+12V-24V which is switched via ignition (ACC).
4. If necessary, connect the trigger lines to a positive trigger signal (e.g. for example reversing lights).
5. Connect the camera or cameras (sold separately) to the RCA camera video inputs of the
ZE-MRV70 main cable.
6. Connect the microphone cable of the cam to the RCA audio input of the ZE-MRV70, if available.
The microphone audio-in signal is assigned to CAM1 (CH1) video display. The microphone audio
signal cannot be reassigned to CAM2 or CAM3 inputs.
7. Connect the +12V-24V and GND power supply cables of the camera / cameras to the designated
switched power supply cable ends of the ZE-MRV70.
8. Connect the 10-pin plug of the main cable to the ZE-MRV70 monitor. Be sure to align the
connector properly as well as to tighten the screw collar securely.

This disclaimer applies to losses of damage irrespective of the legal basis, especially on the grounds

If these disclaimers are prohibited or limited under the applicable law, ZENEC will limit its Warranty and
liability to the extent permissible under the applicable regulations. For example, some national laws
prohibit the exclusion or limiting of damages payable in connection with negligence, gross negligence,
willful wrongdoing, deceitful conduct, and other such acts. For the duration of this Warranty, all liability
that cannot be excluded completely will be limited to the extent permissible under the applicable
law. Liability under this Warranty is limited to the price paid for the product. If the applicable law only
permits higher limits on any liability, this higher limitation will apply.
How do I exercise my Warranty rights?
If you want to exercise your entitlements under this Warranty, please contact the authorized dealer
where the product was purchased, and present it with the original copy of the till receipt or invoice. Do

Defective devices sent by the authorized dealer to the service center, must also be accompanied by
any accessories with a logical connection to the observed fault.
How will ZENEC full its Warranty?

covered by the Warranty, and assume the costs of material and labor in doing so.
Repairs under the Warranty must be carried out by ZENEC or its authorized service partner.
Products that are repaired or replaced may contain new and/or refurbished components and devices.
Components that are swapped out will become the property of ZENEC.
Will I incur any costs in connection with the Warranty service?
ZENEC assumes the costs of material and labor in connection with its Warranty service. The Warranty
holder is responsible for the costs of shipment and bears the risks connected with the shipment (see
above). If the product is found to be operating faultlessly, or there is no warranty entitlement because
the warrant period has expired or for any other reason, ZENEC or its authorized service partner will be
entitled to charge a at-rate investigation fee of €30.00.
Do this Warranty affect my statutory or contractual rights?
This Warranty is made voluntarily by ZENEC, and it will, in any case, extend your statutory rights.
As a consumer, you remain fully entitled to your statutory rights, such as the statutory guarantee.
This Warranty also has no effect whatsoever on your contractual rights against the reseller. You may
continue to exercise these rights in full.
