GENERAL WARNINGS
• Failure to respect the warnings may cause serious damage to the pool equipment
or cause serious injury, even death.
• Only a person qualied in the technical elds concerned (electricity,
hydraulics or refrigeraon) is authorised to perform any servicing or
repairs to the appliance. The qualied technician working on the
appliance must use/wear personal protecve equipment (such as safety
goggles and protecve gloves, etc.) in order to reduce the risk of injury
occurring when working on the appliance.
• Before handling the machine, ensure that the power is switched o and isolated
from the power supply.
• The appliance is intended to be used for pools and spas for a specic purpose; it
must not be used for any purpose other than that for which it was designed.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children, aged 8
years and above) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless:
- they have been given supervision or instrucon, by a person responsible for their
safety, concerning use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for
their safety; and
- they clearly understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and similar user maintenance shall not be made by children without adult
supervision.
• The appliance must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instrucons and
in compliance with local standards. The installer is responsible for installing the
appliance and for compliance with naonal installaon regulaons. Under no
circumstances may the manufacturer be held liable in the event of failure to comply
with applicable local installaon standards.
• For any work other than the simple user maintenance described in this manual, the
product should be referred to a qualied professional.
• Incorrect installaon and/or use may cause serious damage to property or serious
injuries (possibly causing death).
• All equipment, even postage and packing paid, travels at the risks and perils of the
recipient. The laer shall issue reserves in wring on the carrier’s delivery slip if
damage is detected, caused during transport (conrmaon to be sent to the carrier
within 48 hours by registered leer). In the event that an appliance containing
coolant has been turned on its side, menon your reservaons in wring to the
carrier.
• If the appliance suers a malfuncon, do not try to repair it yourself; instead contact
a qualied technician.
• Refer to the warranty condions for details of the permied water balance values
for operang the appliance.
• Deacvang, eliminang or by-passing any of the safety mechanisms integrated
into the appliance shall automacally void the warranty, in addion to the use of
spare parts manufactured by unauthorised third-party manufacturers.
• Do not spray inseccide or any other chemical (inammable or non-inammable)
in the direcon of the appliance, as this may damage the body and cause a re.
• Do not touch the fan or moving parts and do not place any objects or your ngers

in the vicinity of the moving parts during operaon of the appliance. Moving parts
can cause serious injury or even death.
WARNINGS ASSOCIATED WITH ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
• The electrical supply to the appliance must be protected by a 30 mA dierenal
Residual Current protecon Device (RCD), complying with the standards and
regulaons in force in the country in which it is installed.
• Do not use any extension lead when connecng the appliance; connect the
appliance directly to a suitable power supply circuit.
• If a staonary appliance is not ed with a supply cord and a plug, or with other
means for disconnecon from the supply mains having a contact separaon in all
poles that provide full disconnecon under overvoltage category III condions, the
instrucons shall state that means for disconnecon must be incorporated in the
xed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
• A Suitable disconnecng means, which complies with all local and naonal
requirements for over-voltage category III, and which disconnects all poles of
the supply circuit, must be installed in the supply circuit to the appliance. Such
disconnecng means is not provided with the appliance and must be provided by
the installaon professional.
• Before carrying out any operaons, check that:
- The voltage indicated on the appliance informaon plate corresponds to the
mains voltage.
- The power grid is adapted to the power requirements of the appliance, and is
grounded.
- The plug (where applicable) is suitable for the socket.
• In the event of anormal operaon or the release of unusual odours from the
appliance, turn it o immediately, unplug it from its power supply and contact a
professional.
• Before any access to the appliance for service or maintenance, ensure that it is
switched o and completely disconnected from the power supply. Furthermore, in
addion to conrming that the heang priority (where applicable) is deacvated,
ensure that any other equipment or accessories connected to the appliance are
also disconnected from the power supply circuit.
• Do not disconnect and reconnect the appliance to the power supply when in
operaon.
• Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect it from the power supply.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its technician
or a qualied person to guarantee safety.
• Do not perform maintenance or servicing operaons on the appliance with wet
hands or if the appliance is wet.
• Before connecng the appliance to the source of supply, ensure that the terminal
block or supply socket to which the appliance will be connected is in good condion
and is not damaged or corroded in any way.
• For any component or sub-assembly containing a baery: do not recharge or
dismantle the baery, or throw it into a re. Do not expose it to high temperatures
or direct sunlight.
• In stormy weather, disconnect the appliance from the power supply to prevent it
from suering lightning damage.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water (with the excepon of cleaners) or mud.
WARNINGS CONCERNING APPLIANCES CONTAINING R32 REFRIGERANT
• This device contains R32 refrigerant, a class A2L refrigerant, which is considered to
be potenally ammable.
• Do not discharge R32 uid into the atmosphere. These are uorinated greenhouse
eect gases, covered by the Kyoto Protocol, with a Global Warming Potenal (GWP)
= 675 (EU Regulaon No. 517/2014).
• In order to comply with relevant environmental and installaons standards and
regulaons such as, but not limited to, French decree No. 2015-1790 and/or the EU
Regulaon EU 517/2014, the cooling circuit must be checked for leakage at least
once a year. This operaon must be carried out by a cered cooling appliance
specialist.

• The device must be stored in a venlated place away from all sources of re.
• Install the unit outdoors. Do not install the unit indoors or in an enclosed, non-
venlated area outdoors.
• Do not use means to accelerate the defrosng process or to clean, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
• The appliance shall be stored in a room without connuously operang ignion
sources (for example: open ames, an operang gas appliance or an operang
electric heater).
• Do not pierce or burn.
• Be aware that R32 refrigerants may not contain an odour.
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
• The appliance may not be installed close to combusble materials, or an air duct
inlet of an adjacent building.
• With some appliances, it is essenal to t protecon grids if the unit is installed in
an area with uncontrolled access.
• During installaon, troubleshoong and maintenance, pipes may not be used as
steps: the pipe could break under the weight, spilling coolant and possibly causing
serious burns.
• When servicing the appliance, the composion and state of the heat transfer uid
must be checked, as well as the absence of any traces of coolant.
• During the appliance’s annual sealing test in accordance with applicable legislaon,
the high and low pressure switches must be checked to ensure that they are
securely fastened to the cooling circuit and that they cut o the electrical circuit
when tripped.
• During maintenance work, ensure there are no traces of corrosion or oil around
the cooling components.
• Before beginning work on the cooling circuit, stop the appliance and wait for a few
minutes before ng the temperature and pressure sensors. Some elements such
as the compressor and piping may reach temperatures in excess of 100°C and high
pressures with the consequent risk of severe burns.
Area check
• Prior to beginning work on systems containing ammable refrigerants, safety
checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignion is minimised.
Work procedure
• Work shall be undertaken under a controlled procedure so as to minimise the risk
of a ammable gas or vapour being present while the work is being performed.
General work area
• AIl maintenance sta and others working in the local area shall be instructed on
the nature of work being carried out. Work in conned spaces shall be avoided.
Check for the presence of refrigerant
• The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector prior to and
during work, to ensure the technician is aware of potenally toxic or ammable
atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detecon equipment being used is suitable
for use with all applicable refrigerants, i.e. non-sparking, adequately sealed or
intrinsically safe.
Check for the presence of a re exnguisher
• If any work involving heat is to be conducted on the refrigerang equipment or
any associated parts, appropriate re exnguishing equipment shall be available
to hand. Have a dry powder or CO2, re exnguisher adjacent to the charging area.
No source of ignion
• No person carrying out work in relaon to a refrigerang system which involves
exposing any pipe work shall use any sources of ignion in such a manner that it may
lead to the risk of re or explosion. All possible ignion sources, including cigaree
smoking, should be kept suciently far away from the site of installaon, repairing,
removing and disposal, during which refrigerant can possibly be released to the
surrounding space. Prior to work taking place, the area around the equipment is
to be surveyed to make sure that there are no ammable hazards or ignion risks.
«No Smoking» signs shall be displayed.

Area venlaon
• Prior to penetrang the unit in any way to perform any required service, ensure
that the area is open and adequately venlated. Proper venlaon, to allow for
safe dispersion of any refrigerant which may be inadvertently released to the
atmosphere, should be maintained while service is being performed on the unit.
Refrigeraon equipment check
• The manufacturer’s service and maintenance guidelines must be followed at all
mes. When replacing any electrical components, be sure to use only components
which are of the same type and rang and which are recommended/approved by
the manufacturer. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer’s technical department
for assistance.
• The following checks shall be applied to installaons using ammable refrigerants:
- if an indirect refrigerang circuit is being used, the secondary circuit shall be
checked for the presence of refrigerant;
- Marking to the equipment connues to be visible and legible. Markings and signs
that are illegible shall be corrected;
- refrigerang pipe or components are installed in a posion where they are
unlikely to be exposed to any substance which may corrode refrigerant containing
components, unless the components are constructed of materials which are
inherently resistant to being corroded or are suitably protected against being so
corroded.
Electrical component check
• Repair and maintenance to electrical components shall include inial safety checks
and component inspecon procedures. If a fault exists that could compromise safety,
then no electrical supply shall be connected to the circuit unl it is sasfactorily
dealt with. If the fault cannot be corrected immediately but it is necessary to
connue operaon, an adequate temporary soluon shall be used. This shall be
reported to the owner of the equipment so all pares are advised.
• Inial safety checks shall include:
- that capacitors are discharged: this shall be done in a safe manner to avoid
possibility of sparking;
- that no live electrical components and wiring are exposed while charging,
recovering or purging the system;
- that there is connuity of earth bonding.
Repair of insulated components
• During repairs to sealed components, all electrical supplies shall be disconnected
from the equipment being worked upon prior to any removal of sealed covers,
etc. If it is absolutely necessary to have an electrical supply to equipment during
servicing, then a permanently operang form of leak detecon shall be located at
the most crical point to warn of a potenally hazardous situaon.
• Parcular aenon shall be paid to the following to ensure that by working on
electrical components, the casing is not altered in such a way that the level of
protecon is aected. This shall include damage to cables, excessive number
of connecons, terminals not made to original specicaon, damage to seals,
incorrect ng of glands, etc.
• Ensure that the apparatus is mounted securely.
• Ensure that seals or sealing materials have not degraded to the point that they
no longer serve the purpose of prevenng the ingress of ammable atmospheres.
Replacement parts shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s specicaons.
Repair of intrinsically safe components
• Do not apply any permanent inducve or capacitance loads to the circuit without
ensuring that this will not exceed the permissible voltage and current permied for
the equipment in use.
• Intrinsically safe components are the only types that can be worked on while live
in the presence of a ammable atmosphere. The test apparatus shall be at the
correct rang.
• Replace components only with parts specied by the manufacturer. Other parts
may result in the ignion of refrigerant in the atmosphere from a leak.

Wiring
• Check that cabling will not be subject to wear, corrosion, excessive pressure,
vibraon, sharp edges or any other adverse environmental eects. The check shall
also take into account the eects of aging or connual vibraon from sources such
as compressors or fans.
Detecon of ammable refrigerant
• Under no circumstances shall potenal sources of ignion be used in the searching
for or detecon of refrigerant leaks. A halide torch (or any other detector using a
naked ame) shall not be used.
• The following leak detecon methods are deemed acceptable for all refrigerant
systems.
• Electronic leak detectors may be used to detect refrigerant leaks but, in the ease
of ammable refrigerants, the sensivity may not be adequate, or may need re-
calibraon. (Detecon equipment shall be calibrated in a refrigerant-tree area.)
Ensure that the detector is not a potenal source of ignion and is suitable for
the refrigerant used. Leak detecon equipment shall be set at a percentage of the
LFL of the refrigerant and shall be calibrated to the refrigerant employed, and the
appropriate percentage of gas (25% maximum} is conrmed.
• Leak detecon uids are also suitable for use with most refrigerants but the use of
detergents containing chlorine shall be avoided as the chlorine may react with the
refrigerant and corrode the copper pipe-work.
• If a leak is suspected, all naked names shall be removed/exnguished.
• If a leakage of refrigerant is found which requires brazing. all of the refrigerant shall
be recovered from the system. or isolated (by means of shut o valves} in a part of
the system remote from the leak.
Removal and discharge
• When breaking into the refrigerant circuit to make repairs - or for any other purpose
- convenonal procedures shall be used. However, for ammable refrigerants it is
important that best pracce is followed since ammability Is a consideraon. The
following procedure shall be adhered to:
- remove refrigerant;
- purge the circuit with inert gas (oponal for A2L);
- evacuate (oponal for A2L);
- purge with inert gas (oponal for A2L);
- open the circuit by cung or brazing.
• The refrigerant charge shall be recovered into the correct recovery cylinders. For
appliances containing ammable refrigerants other than A2L refrigerants, the
system shall be purged with oxygen-free nitrogen to render the appliance safe
for ammable refrigerants. This process may need to be repeated several mes.
Compressed air or oxygen shall not be used for purging refrigerant systems.
Loading procedures
• Ensure that the outlet tor the vacuum pump is not close to any potenal ignion
sources and that venlaon is available.
• In addion to convenonal charging procedures, the following requirements shall
be followed.
- Ensure that contaminaon of dierent refrigerants does not occur when using
charging equipment. Hoses or lines shall be as short as possible to minimise the
amount of refrigerant contained in them.
- Cylinders shall be kept in an appropriate posion according to the instrucons.
- Ensure that the refrigerang system is earthed prior to charging the system with
refrigerant.
- Label the system when charging is complete (if not already).
- Extreme care shall be taken not to overll the refrigerang system.
• Prior to recharging the system, it shall be pressure-tested with the appropriate
purging gas. The system shall be leak-tested on compleon of charging but prior to
commissioning. A follow up leak test shall be carried out prior to leaving the site.
Dismantling
• Before carrying out this procedure, it is essenal that the technician is completely

familiar with the equipment and all its detail. It is recommended good pracce
that all refrigerants are recovered safely. Prior to the task being carried out, an oil
and refrigerant sample shall be taken in case analysis is required prior to re-use of
recovered refrigerant. It is essenal that electrical power is available before the
task is commenced.
1. Become familiar with the equipment and its operaon.
2. Isolate system electrically.
3. Before aempng the procedure, ensure that:
- mechanical handling equipment is available. if required. for handling refrigerant
cylinders;
- all personal protecve equipment is available and being used correctly:
- the recovery process is supervised at all mes by a competent person;
- recovery equipment and cylinders conform to the appropriate standards.
4. Pump down refrigerant system, if possible.
5. If a vacuum is not possible, make a manifold so that refrigerant can be removed
from various parts of the system
6. Make sure that cylinder is situated on the scales before recovery takes place.
7. Start the recovery machine and operate in accordance with instrucons.
8. Do not overll cylinders (no more than 80 % volume liquid charge).
9. Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.
10. When the cylinders have been lled correctly and the process completed, make
sure that the cylinders and the equipment are removed from site promptly and
alt isolaon valves on the equipment are closed o.
11. Recovered refrigerant shall not be charged into another refrigerang system
unless it has been cleaned and checked.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• All soldering work must be carried out by a someone qualied to do so.
• Replacement pipes must always be made of copper in compliance with standard
NF EN 12735-1.
• Leak detecon, pressure test:
- never use oxygen or dry air (risk of re or explosion)
- use dry nitrogen or the mixture of nitrogen and coolant indicated on the
informaon plate,
- the test pressure for both the high and low pressure circuits must not exceed 42
bar (for R410A), 20 bar and 15 bar (for R407C) if the appliance is equipped with
the oponal pressure gauge.
• The high pressure circuit pipes are made of copper and have a diameter equal to or
greater than 1’’5/8. A cercate as indicated in §2.1 in compliance with standard NF
EN 10204 will be requested from the supplier and led with the facility’s technical
documentaon.
• Technical data relave to the safety requirements of the various applicable direcves
are indicated on the informaon plate. All this informaon must be recorded in
the appliance’s installaon manual, which must be kept in the its technical le:
model, code, serial number, maximum and minimum OT, OP, year of manufacture,
CE marking, manufacturer’s address, coolant and weight, electrical parameters,
thermo-dynamic and acousc performance.
LABELLING
• Equipment shall be labelled stang that it has been decommissioned and emped
of refrigerant.
• The label shall be dated and signed.
• For appliances containing ammable refrigerants, ensure that there are labels on
the equipment stang the equipment contains ammable refrigerant.
RECOVERING
• When removing refrigerant from a system. either for servicing or decommissioning,
it is recommended good pracce that all refrigerants are removed safely.
• When transferring refrigerant into cylinders, ensure that only appropriate
refrigerant recovery cylinders are employed. Ensure that the correct number of
cylinders for holding the total system charge is available. All cylinders to be used

are designated for the recovered refrigerant and labelled for that refrigerant (i.e.
special cylinders for the recovery of refrigerant). Cylinders shall be complete with
pressure-relief valve and associated shut-o valves in good working order. Empty
recovery cylinders are evacuated and. if possible. cooled before recovery occurs.
• The recovery equipment shall be in good working order with a set of instrucons
concerning the equipment that is at hand and shall be suitable for the recovery
of all appropriate refrigerants including, when applicable, ammable refrigerants.
In addion, a set of calibrated weighing scales shall be available and in good
working order. Hoses shall be complete with leak-free disconnect couplings and in
good condion. Before using the recovery machine, check that it is in sasfactory
working order, has been properly maintained and that any associated electrical
components are sealed to prevent ignion in the event of a refrigerant release.
Consult manufacturer it in doubt.
• The recovered refrigerant shall be returned to the refrigerant supplier in the
correct recovery cylinder, and the relevant waste transfer note arranged. Do not
mix refrigerants in recovery units and especially not in cylinders.
• If compressors or compressor oils are to be removed. ensure that they have been
evacuated to an acceptable level to make certain that ammable refrigerant does
not remain within the lubricant. The evacuaon process shall be carried out prior to
returning the compressor to the suppliers. Only electric heang to the compressor
body shall be employed to accelerate this process. When all is drained from a
system, it shall be carried out safely.
RECYCLING
This symbol means that your appliance must not be thrown into a normal bin. It will be selecvely collected
for the purpose of reuse, recycling or transformaon. Any substances it may contain which are potenally
dangerous to the environment shall be eliminated or neutralised. Request informaon on recycling procedures
from your retailer.
