TheZuvoWaterPuratorhasaone(1)yearlimitedwarranty

totheoriginaluser,tobefreefromdefectinmaterial

andworkmanship,fromthedateofpurchase.Thisunitis

designedfornon-commercialapplications.Useincommercial

applicationswillvoidthisproductwarranty.Supplier

liabilityunderthiswarrantyisstrictlylimitedtorepairingor

replacing(atsupplier’soption),withoutcharge,FOBsupplier’s

authorizedservicefacility,theunitorunits.BothZuvoand

supplierwillnotbeheldliableforanycostsofremoval,

installation,transportationtoanauthorizedservicecenter,

oranyotherchargeswhichmayariseinconnectionwitha

warranty.BothZuvoandsupplierwillnotbeheldliablefor

damageorweartoproductscausedbyabnormaloperating

conditions,accident,abuse,misuse,unauthorizedalteration

orrepair,oriftheunitwasnotinstalledinaccordancewith

printedinstallationandoperatinginstructions.

This warranty does not cover replacement filters.

Replacementoflampassembliesislimitedtoaperiodof

one(1)yearfromthedateofpurchase.

Zuvoandyoursupplierwillassumenoresponsibilityforany

incidentalorconsequentialdamages,losses,orexpenses

arisingfrominstallation,use,oranyothercauses.Thereareno

expressorimpliedwarranties,includingmerchantabilityor

fitnessforaparticularpurpose,whichextendbeyondthose

warrantiesdescribedorreferredtoabove.

Somejurisdictionsdonoallowtheexclusionofincidentalor

consequentialdamages,andsomejurisdictionsdonotallow

limitationsonhowlongimpliedwarrantiesmaylast.

Therefore,theabovelimitationsmaynotapplytoyou.This

warrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,whichvaryfrom

Installation

Findasuitablelocationfortheunitnexttothesinkand

powersourcewheretheairisbreathableandfreefrom

dustorfumes.TheZuvoWaterPuratorgeneratesozone

usingthesurroundingair.

1. Removetheaeration

 nozzleandgasketfrom

 thewaterfaucet.

CAUTION: If your faucet

cannot accommodate the

diverter assembly, you

must purchase and install

an under-counter assembly.

2. Attachthedivertervalve

 assemblytothewater

 faucet.Ifthediverter

 suppliedwiththeunit

 doesnotattachdirectly

 tothefaucet,installthe

 adaptersuppliedwith

 theunit.

Operating Instructions

IMPORTANT

The Zuvo Water Purator is not designed to operate

with hot water. Run only cool tap water through the

unit. Prior to drinking water from the unit, flush the

unit for five minutes. Do not drink water coming

from the system during this initial start-up.

Tooperatetheunit,simply

turnonthefaucetandpull

thedivertervalveplunger

outward.

Tobypasstheunit,push

thedivertervalveinward.

You will observe the following when the unit is

operating properly:

• OnceflowisestablishedtheUVlampwillturnonand

 becomefullybrightandsteadywithinthefirstsecond

 ofoperation.

• Waterenterstheunitatthebottomwhereitismixed

 withairandozone,formingavortexofswirling

 bubblesandaswooshingsound.

• Anyozoneleftfollowingthepatentedozone/UV

 photooxidationprocessisreconvertedtooxygenin

 thefilterelement.Waterleavingtheunitisfully

 treatedandmixedwithairandoxygen.Theairwill

 appearastinybubbles,sometimesgivingthewateran

 initialcloudyappearance.Aftersittingforaminuteor

 so,allofthebubbleswillrisetothesurfaceand

 disperse,leavingthewatercrystalclear.

• Theultravioletlampintheunithasausefullifeof

 thousandsofon-offcycles.Onecyclecouldbeasmall

 cupofwateroralargepitcher.Tomaximizethelifeof

 thelamp,itisbesttogetapitchertostoreinthe

 refrigeratorfordrinkingduringtheday,asopposedto

 runningitseveraltimestodrawindividualglassesof

 water.

• Theultravioletlampremainsilluminatedfor

 approximately30secondsafterflowthroughtheunit

 hasceased.Thisisadesignfunctiontoensurethat

 waterremainingintheunitbetweenuseshasbeen

 treatedandshouldnotallowbacteriatobuildupin

 thefilterduringnon-useofthedevice.

• IMPORTANT:Ifthediverterpindoesnotremaininthe

 “out”positionbyitself,oriftheUVlampdoesnot

 activate,therecouldbeinsufficientwaterpressurein

 yourhomeplumbingtooperatethesystem.(The

 systemrequiresaminimumof20PSI.)

When To Replace Filter

Thefiltershouldbereplacedwhentheunithasbeen

inservicesixormoremonths,500ormoregallonsof

waterhavebeenprocessed,orthefiltershowssignsof

dirtbuildupordeterioration,evidencedbyadecrease

intherateofwaterflow,oradecreaseintheswirling

bubbleaction.Replacementfilterscanbeobtained

at www.zuvowater.comorthroughyourauthorized

supplier.

To Replace Filter

WARNING

It is extremely important that the unit be

unplugged. The Zuvo Water Purator contains a high

intensity ultraviolet lamp that can damage tissues

in the eye. The UV wavelengths cannot travel

through the plastic housing. However, removing

the filter requires that the top cap be removed,

exposing the lamp. Do not proceed without

unplugging the unit!

Forthefiltertoberemovedthefilterelementmustbe

saturatedwithwaterandallinternalsealsmustbewet.

Donotattempttoremoveafilterelementthatisnot

wet.Doingsomayresultinbreakageoftheglass.

Thelampshouldbereplacedwheneveritfailstolight

duringoperation.TheZuvoWaterPuratorusesahigh-

intensityozonegeneratingUVbulbmodulewhich

canbeobtainedfromyoursupplier.Forproperunit

operation,useonlylampmodulessuppliedbyyour

supplier.Foryoursafetyandconvenience,Zuvohas

designedthelamptobereplacedinamodularfashion.

Simplyfollowthestepsbelow:

1. Alwaysunplugthe

8.Priortoinstalling

 newfilter,wetlower

 O-ringwithwaterto

 allowthefilterto

 slideoneasier,and

 thensimplyreverse

 theabovestepsto

 re-sealtheunit.

WARNING

Instrucciones de funcionamiento

IMPORTANTE

El Zuvo Water Purator no está diseñado para

funcionar con agua caliente. Use sólo agua fría

del grifo en la unidad. Antes de beber agua de la

unidad, enjuáguela durante cinco minutos.

No tome agua del sistema durante esta fase inicial.

Parahacerfuncionarla

unidad,simplemente

enciendaelgrifoytireel

pulsadordelaválvulade

desvíohaciaafuera.

Paradetenerlaunidad,

presionelaválvulade

desvíohaciaadentro.

Observará lo siguiente si la unidad está

funcionando adecuadamente:

• Alestablecerseelflujo,lalámparaUVseencenderáy

seiluminaráenformatotalypermanenteduranteel

primersegundodefuncionamiento.

• Elaguaingresaenelfondodelaunidadendonde

semezclaconaireyozono,formandounvórticede

remolinosdeburbujasyunzumbido.

• Elozonoquequededespuésdelprocesodefoto

oxidacióndeozono/UVconpatentesereconvierte

enoxígenoenelfiltro.Elaguaqueproducelaunidad

seprocesaymezclacompletamenteconairey

oxígeno.Elaireaparecerácomoburbujasdiminutas,

enocasionesdándolealaguaunaaparienciainicial

turbia.Despuésdeasentarseaproximadamentepor

unminuto,todaslasburbujassubiránalasuperficiey

sedispersarándejandoelaguaclaraytransparente.

• Lalámparaultravioletadelaunidadtieneunavida

útildemilesdeciclosdeencendidoyapagado.Un

ciclopuedeserunapequeñatasadeaguaounajarra

grande.Paraaumentarlavidaútildelalámpara,se

recomiendallenarunajarraydejarlaenelrefrigerador

parabeberduranteeldía,envezdeencenderlovarias

vecesparallenarvariosvasosdeaguaindividuales.

• Lalámparaultravioletapermaneceencendidadurante

aproximadamente30segundosdespuésdequeel

flujodeaguaatravésdelaunidadhaterminado.Ésta

esunafuncióndiseñadaparagarantizarqueelagua

quequedaenlaunidadentrelosusosseprocese,y

evitarqueseacumulenbacteriasenelfiltromientras

eldispositivonoestáenuso.

• IMPORTANTE:Silaclavijadedesvíonosemantieneen

laposición“out”(fuera)porsisólo;obien,silalámpara

UVnoseactiva,esposiblequenohayasuficiente

presióndeaguaenenlaplomeríadesuhogarpara

hacerfuncionarelsistema.(Elsistemanecesitaun

mínimode20librasporpulgadacuadrada).

Cuándo reemplazar el filtro

Elfiltrodebereemplazarsecuandolaunidadhaestado

funcionandoduranteseismesesomás,cuandosehan

procesado500galonesdeaguaomásocuandoelfiltro

muestrasignosdesuciedadodeterioro,quepueden

observarseenladisminucióndelflujodelaguaodela

accióndelremolinodeburbujas.Puedeadquirirfiltros

dereemplazoenwww.zuvowater.comoatravésde

suproveedorautorizado.

Para reemplazar el filtro

ADVERTENCIA

Es de suma importancia que la unidad se encuentre

desenchufada. El Zuvo Water Purator contiene una

lámpara ultravioleta de alta intensidad que puede

dañar los tejidos oculares. La longitud de ondas UV

no puede pasar a través del contenedor de plástico.

Sin embargo, para retirar el filtro es necesario

quitar la tapa superior, exponiendo la lámpara.

¡No continúe sin desenchufar la unidad!
