During assemblyof thisaircraft, you willbe asked tousesharpknivesand hobbyadhesives. Please

NEVERflynearoverhead powerorutilitylines. If yourairplane everbecomesstuck inaline oratree DO
NOT attempt toretrieveityourself.Contact theauthoritiesforassistanceinretrievingyouraircraft.

Neverflytooclosetoyourselforspectators. Spinning propellersareDANGEROUS!

AssemblyInstructions–Readcompletelybeforestartingassembly!
UNPACK
Unpack yourairplane and examine the components. Check fordamage of anykind.If you have
damage, pleasecontact 3DHobbyShop todiscuss.
WRINKLES
Yourairplane waspacked inplasticat thefactorywithout anywrinklesinthe covering.Youmaynotice
somewrinklesnow; morelikely,you will noticeafewinadayortwoorthe first timeyou takethe plane
out tothe flying field.Thesewrinklesarethe resultofwoodshrinkage and/orexpansion. Balsawood
changessizeand shape slightlyasitisexposed tovarying humidityinthe air.Thisisanaturalproperty
of balsawood. Asyourairplane adjuststothe weatherinyourpart ofthe world, wrinklesmayappearand
disappear. Wrinklesmaybe removed withthe gentleapplication of heattothe coveringmaterial on your
airplane.The best toolstouseareaheatgun and covering iron.Applythe heatgently:the covering
materialwillshrinkasyou applythe heat,and thiswillremovethe wrinkles.BECAREFUL!Too much
heat applied too quicklycan damage the covering, eitherbycausing ittopullawayfromthe wood at
seamsand cornersoreven bymelting it.The coveringwillshrinkatlowtemperaturewithpatient
application of heat.Wrinkles in thecovering DO NOT affectflightperformance. If you mustshrinkon
acolor-seam, usethe iron and go slowlyand carefullytoavoidanypulling orlifting atthe seam.
Removethe canopybeforeattempting touseheat on yourcovering!The canopyismade of thermo-
activated plasticand WILL deformwiththe application of heat. Do notapplyheattothe canopy.
PAINT
Ifyouneed toclean yourairplane,werecommend usingadamptowel.The paint used on the canopy
and cowlisnot safeforallcleaners. Inparticular, DONOT usealcoholon theseparts, itwillremovethe
paint.

The Osirismainlanding geararepre-assembled.Insert eachgearintothe pre-cutslotinthe side ofthe
fuselage and attachwithQTY44-40 screwsand washers. Useblue Loctiteorsimilarthreadlockeron
thesescrews.
Removecovering overhorizontalstabilizeropening and the singleelevatorservoopening infuselage.

Insert horizontalstabilizerintofuselage cutout.Do not glue atthistime.NOTE:Do notremoveany
covering fromthehorizontalstabilizer.Align side-to-sideasshown.
Installcarbon wing tube intofuselage and measureon bothsidesformtube tostabilizer, equalizethese
measurements.

Sightfromthe stabilizerforwardtothe wing tube asshown. Ifyou need tocorrectthe position of the
stabilizer, add shimsof cardstock on the bottomof the stabilizeron one side.

Oncestabilizerisperfectlylocated,dripagenerousamountofthinCAglue intothestabilizer-fuselage
joint on top and bottom. If you dripanyCAontoyourcovering, useCAdebonderand atoweltoremove
unwanted glue fromthe covering material.
Assembletailwheelbracketontotailwheelwire. Drillholejust beneathbottomrudderhinge intorudder.
Installtailwheelwireintorudderasshownwith30 minuteepoxy, allowtocure.Installwheeland collar
ontotailwheelwire.

Installrudderontofuselage, using twolarge dropsofthinCAglue perhinge.Installtailwheelbracket
ontofuselage withQTY2woodscrews.

Glue elevatorjoinerintoone elevatorhalf withthickCAorepoxy glue.Allowtocure.
Insert elevatorhalf withjoinerintostabilizer,installwithtwolarge dropsofthinCAglue on eachhinge.
Trail-fit second elevatorhalf withno glue.Check foralignment between elevatorhalves. Correctjoiner
slot insecond elevatorasnecessary.
Installsecond elevatorhalf,using thick CAorepoxyonjoinerand twodropsofthinCAon eachhinge.

Assembleelevatorpushrod frompartsshown, includingcarbon tube stiffener.
Installelevatorservo,running extension through fuselage tofront.Besuretouseyourfavoritekind of
servoplug locking deviceon theservoplug toprevent the extensionsfromcomingunplugged inflight.
Installelevatorpushrod asshown, bolting securelytoservoarmand controlhornswithallen
screw/locking nut.

Installthe rudderservoasshown. Assembleall4endsofthe pull-pullcablesasshown inthe diagram.
Makesurethe cablesaresnug, but not “banjo-string”tight. The cablescrossinside the fuselage toform
an “X”shape.
