This Filtrete™ Air Purifier has three replacement filter options to meet a wide range
of needs:

your filter with a Filtrete™ Advanced Allergen, Bacteria, & Virus filter. This filter
comes packed with True HEPA filtration and can remove 99.97% of all airborne
particles, including dust, allergens, bacteria and viruses.*
- Allergen + Odor Reduction Filter: This filter uses the same basic filtration media
as our Allergen Reduction filter, but has the added function of activated carbon
to help reduce strong odors caused by pets, cooking,mildew, smoke and more.
- Allergen R

TIPS ONMAXIMIZING YOUR FILTRETE™ ROOM AIR PURIFIER
1. Clean and seal, as much as possible, the room in which the air purifier operates.
2. Continue to dust surfaces and vacuum on a normal schedule.
3. Close all windows and doors during operation.

WHAT IS CADR AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is a measure of the reduction rate (cleaning
speed) of specific particulates by an air purifier or other filtration system in a
controlled environment. A higher CADR means that the air purifier cleans the air
more quickly than a unit with lower CADR. CADR is the one performance measure
and the air volume processed by the air purifier. CADR is usually measured for
three particle types: smoke, dust, and pollen. According to the Association of Home
Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) Room Air Cleaner Certification Program, the
recommended room size is directly related to the smoke CADR.
Look for the AHAM mark on the front of the package and the CADR rating label on
the back of the package. The CADR rating label will list the CADR rating for tobacco
smoke, dust, and pollen, and it will also list the recommended room size per the
AHAM certification.

Intended Use
Filtrete™ air purifiers are intended to help remove particlesfrom the air thatpasses
through the filter, inthe room in which the air purifier is located. Filtrete™ air purifiers
are to be used inindoor household applications using standard 120 volt AC power.
Use in any other application or with non-Filtrete™ brand filtershas not beenevaluated
by 3M and may lead to an unsafe condition or damage to the air purifier.

CHANGING THE FILTER
When to change:
The table below provides an estimated filter life based on the number
of hours of daily use, with seven days per week operation.
Depending upon the conditions in your home, the filter may need to be changed
more frequently. Using the air purifier in environments with tobacco smoke, candle
burning, construction work, sanding projects, wood burning stove or fireplace
smoke, or pets in the home may decrease the filter’s life. The filter should be
periodically checked for damage or blockage.

AIR PURIFIER CONTROLS
Plug the air purifier into a 120V AC electric outlet, then slide the control slider to
the right to your preferred fan speed. To turn the air purifier OFF, slide the control
slider all of the way to the left.
Adjusting Fan Speed
This air purifier has 3 fan speeds that are printed near the control slider. The
lowest fan speedis indicated with 1 dot. Medium speedisindicatedwith 2 dots.
High speed is indicated with 3 dots.
Filter Change Indicator
This air purifier isequippedwithanelectronic filter change indicator. This indicator
monitors the use of the filter to signal when the filter needs to be changed. The
indicator light will turn on inan orange color when the filter has 10% life remaining.
The light will then turn red when the filter life is 0% indicating the filter needs to
be changed. Once you have changed the filter in the air purifier, reset the filter
change indicator by holding the RESET button for 3 seconds.

SERVICING YOUR PURIFIER
Cleaning the Air Purifier
• The outside of the air purifier can be cleaned with a soft, dirt free, dampened cloth.
• The air inlet and outlet grills can be cleaned with a small dry, soft brush.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Where To Find Model Number
• The air purifier model number, serial number, and electrical rating
can be found on the label on the bottom on the air purifier.
Replacement Filter Does Not Fit
• Check the model number on the filter and compare it to the table on page 3.
• Make sure no foreign objects are blocking the filter opening.
• Make sure that any packaging materials have been removed from the filter.
Air Purifier Will Not Turn On
• Be sure the air purifier is properly plugged into a 120V AC outlet.
• Check if a fuse has blown or if a circuit breaker has been tripped. First check both
the home’s fuses and/or circuit breakers. If a circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse
has blown, first try to determine the root cause for the fault condition and correct
the fault condition before resetting circuit breakers or replacing fuses.

Decreased Air Flow
• Make sure that any packaging materials have been removed from the filter.
• Check the air purifier to make sure the air inlet and filtered air outlet are
not blocked.
• Check the condition of the filter and if dirty, replace with a new Filtrete™
replacement filter.
Noisy Operation
• Check the condition of the filter and if dirty, replace with a new Filtrete™
replacement filter.
• Make sure that nothing is blocking the air inlet or filtered air outlet.
• Operate the purifier on a lower fan speed.

CAMBIO DEL FILTRO

Instale el nuevo filtro de la misma
manera que el filtro anterior.

MANTENIMIENTO DE SU PURIFICADOR
Limpieza del purificador de aire
• Apague el purificador de aire y desenchúfelo antes de limpiarlo.
• La parte externa del purificador de aire se puede limpiar con un paño suave,
limpio y húmedo.
• Las rejillas de la toma de aire y de la salida de aire pueden limpiarse con un
cepillo pequeño y suave.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Dónde encontrar el número de modelo
• El número de modelo del purificador de aire, el número de serie y la clasificación
eléctrica se pueden encontrar en la etiqueta ubicada en la parte inferior del
purificador de aire.
El filtro de repuesto no calza
• Verifique el númerode modeloenel filtro y compárelo con la tablaen lapágina 13.
• Asegúrese de que ningún objeto extraño obstruya la apertura del filtro.
• Asegúrese de haber extraído del filtro todos los materiales del embalaje.
El purificador de aire no enciende
• Asegúrese de que el purificador de aire esté enchufado correctamente a un
tomacorriente de 120 voltios de CA.
• Verifique que no existan fusibles quemados ni interruptores de circuito activados.
Primero verifique los fusibles o los disyuntores del circuito. Si se ha activado un
disyuntor o un fusible, primero intente determinar la causa raíz de la condición
de falla y corríjala antes de restablecer los disyuntores o reemplazar los fusibles.
