Important Safeguards
These roof racks are suitable for vehicles with
raised (open) or integrated roof rails.
• To prevent the vehicle’s roof from being damaged, it is advisable for 2 people for assembly and
disassembly of the roof racks.
• Equipment must be maintained in good working order.
• If long objects are transported, it is recommended additional straps are used to secure the
end of the load to the vehicle (refer to illustration 9C of installation instructions).

UNLESS DIRECTIONS ARE FOLLOWED PHYSICAL INJURY
OR PROPERTY DAMAGE MAY RESULT. SAVE THESE

Maximum separation is safer.
The distance between the two racks must be suitable for the load being carried.
•
The roof racks must be locked onto the roof rails with the xing devices and the screw
tightened securely.
•
The load must be evenly distributed with the lowest possible centre of gravity.•

Where surfboards are carried (or similar items which may produce lifting forces), they shall not be
carried side-by-side, but stacked one on top of the other. All surfboards and similar items shall be
secured independently to the front and rear of the vehicle using straps or other methods which
are capable of withstanding the lifting forces.

when it is loaded (in particular, crosswind sensitivity, handling on bends, and braking). Driving
techniques should be altered to allow for these changes, such as, reducing speed, (especially on
bends) and allowing for longer braking distances.

The roof rack edges must not exceed the outer limits of the vehicle wing mirrors.
Trim down bars if necessary with appropriate tools.

Determination of Load Carrying Capacity
• Consult the vehicle manual to obtain the maximum roof carrying capacity of the vehicle. The
weight of the roof racks [4kg] and the load carried upon the roof racks must not exceed the
designated roof carrying capacity of the vehicle
• The maximum load able to be carried by the roof racks is 100kg
• The maximum load able to be carried is the lesser of the load carrying capacity of the racks, or
the total roof carrying capacity of the vehicle

Installation
1.
Remove all contents from the box and ensure you have all the listed parts.
2. Unlock the mounting brackets on both bars (unlock the covers and move away).
Place the adjustment screw through the Srew pin and grip (on each mounted feet) and
tight in the grip looselly at this stage.

3. Cut the rubber strip for insert in the underside of the roof rack rail, 250mm shorter than
and inserted into the channel between the clamp and the end of the
aluminium bar.

Insert the mounting feet into the underside channel - one per side.
5. Secure the end caps onto the roof racks by tapping them over the aluminium channel end
with a soft hammer for a secure t.
6. Attach the roof racks to your vehicle’s roof rails.
When the mounting bracket is attached to the roof rail, tighten
the grip with the supplied Allen key on all 4 sides.

8. When both roof bars are connected correctly, secure them
by locking with the security keys.
REMINDER:
Remove the keys once the roof bars have been secured
and store them in a safe place. DO NOT drive with the keys left in the lock.
9. The load must be evenly distributed over the area of the carrier system (B), and the centre of
gravity of the load kept as low as possible. Narrow and heavy loads (example: metal tubes) are to
be carried near the feet of the carrier system. Loads which overhang the ends of the carrier
system (C) and shall conform to any relevant laws or by-laws in force, and shall be adequately
secured table loads, causing a danger to other road users.
FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION STEPS TO INSTALL THEROOFRACKS ONTO ANOTHER VEHICLE.
7. Always ensure that the mounting bracket is correctly connected (A) to the roof rail.
Incorrect connection (B) can lead to unstable loads, causing a danger to other road users.
TRANSFERRING ROOF RACKS FROM ONE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER
• Using the Allen key provided loosen the mounting brackets on all four clamps to open
the gripping arms wide enough to remove the bars from the raised roof rails.
Do not t onto roof rails that have a height or width of less than 15 mm or greater than 45 mm.

CAUTION: Do not use elastic straps to tie down load.

The manufacturer declines all liability for damage deriving from the vehicle having been
driven at a high speed, from having been driven incorrectly, or from the roof rack or load
having been poorly positioned, xed or fastened.
• Do not exceed the recommended maximum speed of 110 kmph with load applied to
roof racks.
