Product Features

Exclusive features of M5

●Add Speed Position: It can be set up via Hot Key.
●Speed limit alert: Set up the speeding reminder. Abee M5 will send out a
warning sound immediately when the speed exceeds the set value.

Notes
Usage
1. Please use Class 6 or upper, 8GB or upper Micro SD card to avoid the lag of
image.
2. To set up the device, please stop recording by pressing the Menu button to
enter set up menu.
3. Please use Abee M3/M5 original car charger and accessories.
4. In vehicles where power to the cigarette lighter remains on after the engine
has been turned off, please remove the cigarette lighter plug to avoid
draining your car battery or other accidents.
5. After the car engine has stopped, the power supply been cut off, or any
event that interrupts the power supply occurs, a spare battery allows
continued recording to the memory card. Do not remove the Micro SD
memory card or the file may be damaged.
6. Do not expose your product to direct sunlight.
7. Do not connect car transformer to car battery power directly (this
installation is not in covered under the product warranty).
8. When continuously using the device for a long period of time, the device
might slightly heat up. This is very common, do not worried.
9. Do not disassemble or modify your product. Consult your dealer or our
customer service center in case of having problem with product.
10. Do not drop or subject the product to blows or force. Do not press hard on
the LCD screen. This may damage it or cause it to malfunction.
11. In general recording mode, press the record button to enter emergency
recording mode, on the upper right corner of the screen will immediately

show "!Emergency" message, this means the file is protected. The file will
not be deleted from loop recording. 8G memory card (or above) can save
up to 10 emergency video files.
12. Do not expose your product in moisture, please keep your hand dry when
operate the device.
13. Do not clean the product with cleaners containing strong acid or alkaline.
14. Devices and batteries need recycling.
15. Before using your device, please read the user's manual carefully.
16. The Satellite Time is showed automatically when the Satellite Time Auto
function is turned on. In this condition, the time setting can’t be changed
manually. (M5)
17. GPS positioning is warned for fixed speed cam only, not including radar
detection. We recommend that you obey the traffic rules, drive carefully.

Micro SD memory card
1. Please use Micro SDHC memory cards, class 6 or upper. 8G or more of
memory space is recommended, Support up to 32G.
2. Please format the memory card with device before using it.
3. Please don’t insert or remove the Micro SD card when the device is still on,
to avoid the card damage.

Hardware Installation Guideline
Installation
1. Insert the latch on top of your
product in the socket of the car
stand to connect the two.
2. Place your driving recorder in the
proper position in your car. Stick the
suction plate to your car window;
press the plate button to secure the
stand.
3. Release the adjusting knob, set to
the best shooting angle, and lock
the adjusting knob to secure the
recorder in position.
Un-install
1. Uninstall the device: press and hold the stand latch push it to the right to
remove.
2. Uninstall car stand: Pull up the car stand suction plate button to remove it.

Installation recommendations
1. Install your product as close as possible to the rear view mirror in your car
to get the best view. (as in picture)
2. The lens should be in the area that windshield can be cleaned by your
wipers to get good images on a rainy day.
3. Do not install your product in a place that may interfere with operation of
the air bags in your car.
4. Do not place your product in a position that may be blocked by the heat
insulation.
5. Do not place any interfering electronic product around the installation.
6. Clean the bracket suction plate before installation.

Operational Guideline
Turn on/ Turn off
1. Turn on:
When there is no external power, press ON/OFF key and hold
for 1 second to turn on the device.
2. Turn off:
When the device is power on, press ON/OFF key and hold for 1
second to turn off the device.
3. Auto turn on and off:
※When the car charger is powered by the cigarette lighter socket,
your device will automatically turns on when the engine is started.
※When the car charger is powered by the cigarette lighter socket,
your device will automatically turns off when the engine is stop.
※If your device is powered by the cigarette lighter socket, it will
automatically turn off if the external power is removed (by
unplugging the USB car charger cable).
※in case the device is still powered by car cigarette charger while
the engine is off; In this case the auto power on- off function is not
supported.
Operational Guideline
※Troubleshooting
1.Please check whether insert Micro SD card.
2.Please check whether Micro SD card space is not enough or file
error.
3.If it can be not ruled out, please back up the memory card and
format it via device.

Recording
1. General recording:
Under general mode, press key and select to start
recording mode.
2. Auto Recording:
In the auto recording mode, the device will turns on and enters the
recording mode automatically when the power is connected.
3. Stop Recording:
Under recording mode, press key and select to stop
recording.
4. Stop recording after power off:
Under the recording mod, when turns the power off, the device will
stops recording, automatically saves the file and turns off.
Emergency recording
1. Under the recording mode, press key and select to enter
the emergency recording mode, on the upper right corner of the
screen will immediately show “Emergency Recording” Message. The
file will not be deleted from loop recording, press key and
select to stop recording.

2. With the collision detection on: when the collision occurs, the device
will automatically trigger the emergency recording mode to protect
the file.
3. 8G memory card (or above) can save up to 10 emergency video files.
4. When the emergency recording file is full, under the recording mode
press to enter emergency recording mode, it will show the
message “emergency file is full” and the oldest emergency file will be
overwritten.
Take a picture
1. Under general mode, press key to take a picture. After take a
picture it will return to general mode.
2. Under general mode, press key to take a picture. It is
unnecessary to stop recording.
GPS and Fixed speed cam alert
1. GPS positioning:
When turning on the device, the GPS positioning status is appeared
in the screen upper-right corner. You can see those symbols
meaning of three section of signal strength. The car
speed is appeared in the screen upper-left after GPS positioning
completed.

After GPS positioning completed, the device will warn you by voice
alert or warning alert while approaching the fixed speed cam. At the
same time, the screen will appear the distance and speed limited
until by the speed camera.
Speed position management
1. Speed cam alert:
The device is warning you by voice alert or warning alert while
approaching the speed cam.
2. Quick to add speed position:
In general or recording mode with GPS positioning completed, press
key for seconds for adding new speed position. It can be set up
200 groups as maximum.

Menu function
In general mode, press the Mkey and select to enter the menu screen.
1. File play:
In the menu screen, select File play . And use key and
key to choose type of Video, Emergency or Picture. After choosing the type
of video you will see the video playlist, use key to choose the
video, press key to choose to playback, press Mkey to choose
to return to the playlist.
2. Satellite Status: Choosing the Satellite Status to learn satellite status
including quantity received and signal strength.
3. Satellite Time Auto: It can be set up automatically or manually by select
Satellite Time Auto, use key to set or close Time Zone.
※The Satellite Time is showed automatically when the Satellite Time Auto
function is turned on with GPS positioning completed. In this condition, the
time setting can’t be changed manually.
4. Date/Time setting: to set up the current time
In the menu screen, select Date/Time in the menu screen. Use
key and key to choose after setup has been completed it will
automatically return to the previous screen.
5. Time Stamp: to set up whether you want the recording date and time on

In the menu screen, select Time Stamp, then select ON or Off.
6. Speed Mark: Choosing speed mark or not during video recording
In menu screen, select Speed Mark and set ON or Off.
※This function should be under GPS positioning completed.
7. Resolution: to adjust the resolution of video
In the menu screen, then select Resolution, select 1080P/30fps or
720P/30fps.
8. LCD Setting: to set up whether to turn on the screen while recording In
the menu screen, select LCD Setting, then select ON,Turn off After 30 sec.,
Turn OFF After 3 min. and Off.
9. Voice Record: to set up whether to record sound in to video
In the menu screen, select Voice Record, then select On or Off.
10. Sound Control: to set up whether to turn on the keypad tone.
In the menu screen, select Sound Control, then use key to
select Off or Adjustment.
11. Speed cam Alert: select the alert mode
In the menu screen, select Speed Cam Alert then Voice Alert, Warning
Alert or OFF.
※This function should be under GPS positioning completed.
12. Automatic Record: to set up auto turn-on and record when engine is
started.

In the menu screen, select Automatic Record, then select ON or Off.
13. Record Interval: to set up the record interval
In menu screen, select Record Interval, then select 2min. or 3 min. or
5 min..
14. Motion Detection: the device will start record 5-10 before motion is
detected until the motion is stop.
In menu screen, select Motion Detection, then select On or Off.
15. Collision Detection: in recording mode, when accident or impact occurs
the device will automatically record with emergency record function.
The sensitivity of collision can be set.
In menu screen, select Collision Detection, then select High Sensitivity,
Medium Sensitivity, Low Sensitivity, or Off.
16. Delay Shutdown: the device will still keep recording for a short footage
before shutdown
In menu screen, select Delay Shutdown, then select 10 sec., or Off.
17. Speed Position Management: Add or delete speed position
In menu screen, select Speed Position Management, choosing Add
Speed Position or Delete Speed Position.
※To proceed the “add speed position”should be under GPS
positioning completed. It can be set up 200 groups as maximum.
※The all saved data will be deleted when choosing “delete speed
position.”

18. Custom Speed Limit: The device is warning when the car speed is over
the setting limitation.
In menu screen, select Custom Speed Limit, using key to
choose 40~120 km/h or OFF.
※This function should be under GPS positioning completed.
19. Flexible setting speed limit: Set up the limit of over seeding alert
flexibly.
Example : To set up “+5 km/hr”, then the device will alert the driver while
the speeding reached 55km/h according to the road speed limit is 50km/hr.
In menu screen Flexible setting speed limit, using key to
choose +5 km/hr、+10 km/hr、+20 km/hr or OFF.
20. Language: to set up the language for operational interface.
In menu screen, select Language, then select Traditional Chinese ,
Simplify Chinese or（English）.
21. File Deleting: to delete the existing file.
In the menu screen, select File Deleting , use 上下鍵及 key
and key to select the video type, Video , Emergency, or
Picture .After select the video type you will see the videos list, use
to select the video that you want to delete, and then press
to choose . After confirm you can choose either to Delete One or
Delete All, press again to confirm, press Mkey and choose
to return to the previous page.

22. Format: Format memory card (Micro SD).
In the menu screen, select Format, select No or Yes, select Yes to
format your memory card. Please backup important data before
formatting your card.
23. Default: Reset all the setting to factory default.
In the menu screen, select Default, select No or Yes, select Yes to reset
all the setting to the factory defaults.

Memory card (Micro SD) PC connection instruction
1. With a USB cable connection
Abee M3/M5 can be connected to a PC via USB cable. When connected, the
PC will detect a removable device. Open Windows Explorer to browse files in
the memory card. (You can see it shows USB connecting…while using USB
cable to connect to PC.)
2. With a card reader
Remove the memory card after turning off the device. Insert the memory
card in a PC card reader. Your PC will detect a removable device. Open
Windows Explorer to browse the files on the memory card.
3. Memory Card (Micro SD)content description:
There are two file folders of memory card including “EMER”and “DCIM”. The
files of general recording & picture are saved in “100MEDIA” out of “DCIM”;
the files of emergency recording are saved in “EMER”which can be copied to
computer according to the demand.
※The file will be moved from “100MEDIA”to “EMER”completely for
protecting it without being overwritten. If the video file is not coherent in the
“100MEDIA”, please go to “EMER”for getting the completed one.
