BATTERY REQUIREMENTS
This product requires one (1) AAA standard alkaline battery (not included). We do
NOT recommend the use of heavy duty or rechargeable batteries.
INSTALL SENSOR BATTERIES
Locate the slot on the edge of the back cover and gently pry open to remove the
back cover. Insert one (1) AAA alkaline battery. Replace the back cover.
AUTO OFF
To conserve battery power, this product will automatically turn off after one hour of
no use or button activity.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wash the probe with hot, soapy water after each use. The housing and display area
are NOT WATERPROOF. DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER OR PLACE IN DISHWASHER.
Wipe the housing and display area with a soft, damp cloth. Use a VERY small
amount of dishwashing soap if necessary to degrease the housing.
1Push ˚F/˚C to select units of measure.
2Flip open the probe completely and insert probe into the thickest part of meat
or fowl near the end of cooking time. Be sure the probe tip is not touching
bone, gristle, the pan, or inserted into hollow cavity of fowl.
3To obtain accurate temperature reading, wait until numbers stop moving,
approximately 5-10 seconds.
The thermometer will beep when a STABLE temperature is observed:
• Measured temperature must be rising at a rate of +6°F (3.3°C) or more in 3
seconds
• Beep will only sound when temperature is above 120°F (48.8°C)
• Temperature reading must be stable within 2°F (1.1°C) for 2 seconds
• Beep will automatically reset after the temperature falls 15°F (8.3°C) from
high mark
4Wash the probe with hot, soapy water after each insertion to prevent
cross-contamination.
