3 ACTIVATE BATTERY
(1) CR2O32 "coln•style" lithium battery Is Included and pre-Installed.
A protective strip that preventsthe battery from draining during shipping must be removedfrom the battery
compartment before you can begin usingyour digital window thermometer.
1) Removethe two small Phillipstype screwswith asmall Phillips screwdriver.
2) Removethe battery compartment carefully asto not loosethe screws.
3) Removethe small plastictab from the battery compartment.
4) Replacethe battery compartment cover and screws,making sure the battery is still installed correctly.
NOTE: It Is recommended that a lithium type battery always be used In the Digital Window Thermom•
eter to ensure a long battery life and better cold weather operation than regular alkaline batteries.
3 ACTIVACION DE LA PILA

Esteadhesivedebe ser removido del compartimiento de la pila paraque esta comienzea funcionar.
1) Remuevalosdos tornillos tipo Phillips del compartimiento de la pila con un destornillador.
2) Lentamente remuevaelcompartimiento de la pila tratando deno perder lostornillos.
3) Remuevalacinta adhesivadel compartimiento.
4) Coloquenuevamenteelcomparlimiento,atornillandoasubase.Aseguresequelapilaesteposicionadacorrectamente.
Note: Se recomienda user siempre pilas de litio en el term6metro digital de ventana y no alcalinas. Esto
permite mejorar el rendimiento en condiciones extremes de temperature.
4 CHOOSE WHERE TO USE THE WINDOW THERMOMETER
The Acu•Rlte® digital window thermometer can be used almost anywhere a reliable temperature reading
is needed. When choosing where to place the thermometer, keep the following in mind:
Whenplacing,clean the surface area wherethe suction cupswill adhereto thoroughly. Thesuction cups will
adhereto surfaceslike glassor smooth plastic best.
Forthe most accurate reading,placethe thermometer in an areaOUTOFDIRECTSUNLIGHT.
Thedigital window thermometer is weather-resistant, but is not WATERPROOF.Placein anarea out of direct
weather elements,suchas under an overhangor on a recessedor inset window surfacewhenplacing outdoors.
Inthe caseof very cold temperatures outdoors,the thermometers suction cupsmay becomestiff and loose
suction. It is recommendedthat the windowthermometer be brought indoors in extremely cold weather to
preventthe unit from falling.
Thesuction cupmounting bracket rotates 270° to allow mounting placementon various anglesof surfaces.
The Digital WindowThermometer can be mounted on any SMOOTHFLATSURFACEand usedanywherea
temperature readingis needed,provided the previous mounting suggestionsare followed.
Whenremoving the Digital WindowThermometer from a mounting surface,lift tab of suction cup itself.
DONOTpull on the caseor the displayto removethe thermometer from a mounting surface asthis may cause
damageto the rotating suction cup bracket.
After you have decided where to place the unit, be sure the mounting surface is clean before mounting.
After the digital window thermometer Is mounted, consider rotating the display SLIGHTLY down or up to
provide the best viewing angle height for where the location the thermometer wlll be viewed most from.

Limpie la superficie en donde colocara lascopasde succi6n paraque estasseadieran masfacil. Lasmejores
superficies para fijar lascopasde succi6nson lasde vidrio o plastico liso.
Paraunalectura de latemperature masexacta,coloqueel term6metro un un lugar donde NOHAYA
EXPOSICIONDIRECTADELSOL.
Elterm6metro digital deventana es resistenteal agua pero no puedeser sumergido en ella.Coloqueel
term6metro en lugares protegidosde la lluvia.
Lastemperaturas extremadamente frfas puedenafectar el plastico de las copasde succi6n,haciendolesperder
fuerza y ventosidad.Paraevitar que el producto secaigade la ventana,es recomendadoremover el
term6metro durante dfasdetemperaturas extremas.
Lascopasde succi6ncolocadasen el soporte permiten rotar el producto 270° gradosen el angulo deseado.
Cuando tenga un lugar seleccionado para ubicar el term6metro, recuerde que debe limpiar la superficie
para mejorar la ventosidad de las copas de succi6n. Una ves adherido a la superficie rote el producto
hasta el lugar que le ofrezca major 6ngulo de visibilidad.
