
Simon XT - Quick Guide

The Simon XT allows for up to 8 additional users.
There are 3 user types that can be assigned:
Master - can perform all functions and assign users.
To program a Master user, enter the system programming menu by pressing [Enter] and scrolling to
the [Access Code] menu, then press [OK].
Scroll until you find [Master Code], then press [OK]. The current code value will flash.
Enter a new code, then press [OK].
Press [STATUS] to exit.
User (numbers 1-8) – can arm and disarm but not program any codes.
To program a standard user, enter the system programming menu by pressing [Enter] and scrolling
to [Access Codes], then press [OK].
Scroll to the user code you would like to change, then press [OK]. The current code value will flash.
Enter a new code, then press [OK].
Press [STATUS] to exit.
Duress – generates a silent alarm to monitoring company.
To program a silent Duress code, enter the system programming menu by pressing [Enter] and
scrolling to [Access Codes], then press [OK].
Scroll until you find [Duress Code], then press [OK]. The current code value will flash.
Enter a new code, then press [OK].
Press [STATUS] to exit.

Trouble Conditions
Your security system is able to automatically test itself for power failures, low batteries, nonworking
sensors, and communication troubles with the central monitoring station. When your security system
detects a trouble condition, six rapid beeps will sound every minute for four hours until the trouble
condition is corrected.
To silence trouble beeps, press [STATUS] or arm/disarm the system.

Volume
To program the beep volume, enter the system programming menu.
