
Camera Installation
1.
Find a suitable location on the trailer where the bracket will not
interfere with any equipment or doors, orblock the line
of
sight.
Verify that the planned mounting location has access to route the
wiring to the trailer connector.
Be
sure that the mounting screws will
not hit any wires or equipment inside the vehicle.
2.
Attach the surface mounting bracket to the vehicle with the hardware
included.
3.
Route the camera wiring to the trailer connector mounting point.
When
choosing a wiring path,
make
sure the cable
wiD
not
be
damaged
or
pinched, as this
may
cause a short circuit that is not
covered
by
the
warranty.
4. Install the Trailer connector using the supplied mounting bracket and
hardware. Do not install in a location that could
be
submerged or
damaged
by
road debris.
Module Installation
1.
Locate the connection between the camera already installed in the
vehicle and the extension wire up to the screen at the front
of
the
vehicle (ifinstalling into a vehicle with an Advent systeminstalled
the connector will
be
2ft from the camera.
2.
Unplug the car mounted camera and plug it directly into the
CAMTRK module (use the RCA adaptor harness
if
required).
3.
Plug the wires going to the monitor directly into the CAMTRK
module (use the RCA adaptor harness
if
required).
4. Ensure that you connect reverse power perthe camera instructions
if
using the RCA adaptor harnesses.
5.
Run the extension from the module to the trailer connector. Mount the
trailer connector at the rear
of
the vehicle near the normal 7 pin trailer
power/brake connector plug.
6. Connect the trailer camera plug to the connector on the vehicle using
the spiral harness. Insure that both connections are seated correctly
and completely. The Cable should lock into place.
