The product is intended to assist in safe driving and to allow the driver to have a
broader rear view while the vehicle is in reverse. You, as the driver, are solely
responsible for the safe operation
of
your vehicle and the safety
of
your passengers
according to local traffic regulations. Do not use any features
of
this system to the
extent it distracts you from safe driving. Your first priority while driving should
always be the safe operation
of
your vehicle. Audiovox Electronics Corporation
cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for accidents resulting from failure to
observe these precautions
or
safety instructions.

This product utilizes high voltage. Any unauthorized modifications

damage
to the product may result

NOTE: When cleaning the mirror do NOT spray the mirror directly with
cleaner. Use a soft cloth with screen cleaner applied lightly, and wipe. DO
NOT SOAKthe screen. Too much moisture could damage the electronics

3rd
input to watch video
of
any kind while
driving Is always dangerous and may be illegal. The mirror monitor is not
designed to
be
used this way.

used for these purposes check all local laws

•
Using
a
Phillps
screwdriver
or
#20
tone
bit,
loosen
the
screw
In
the
base
of
the mirror.
• After
loosening
screw,
gentlylift
upward
to
slide
mirroroff
of
mirror
mount.
Wedge
mountmirrorremoval procedure:
(Common
for
screw
less
mount).
•
Using
amirrortool or
small
1/'if'(4
mm)
flat-blade
screwdriver,
Inserttheflat
end
Intothe
opening
at
the bottom
of
the mirror
mountatthewindshield.
•
Slide
thescrewdriver intothe center
of
the mirrormount until
resistance
Is
felt.
•
Gently
apply
a
small
amount
of
additional
upward
force
to
lift
away
locking
spring

the mount.
• While still
applying
upward
pressure
withthe
screwdriver,
grasp
the
mirror
bracket
and
wiggle
side
to
side.

Mirrorlnstallatlon:
Installation willvary
depending
on
the mountingfoot
you
use
forthe
vehicle.
The
mount pre-installed
on
themirror
is
fora
standard
wedge
mountfoot.
If
you
need
to
use
adifferentfoot,
change
thefoot
by
removing
the
Phillps
head
screw
In
the center
of
thefoot.
Attach
the required foot
to
the mounting
arm
with the
included
screw.
Route
thewire
harness
from themirror,
behind
the
headliner,
and
downthe A
Piiiar
post.
DO
NOT
run
thewire
In
front
of
or
over
airbags
orother
safety
devices.
Insure
the wire
harness
will
not
be
pinched
or
damaged
when
you
replace
the
vehicle
trim
panels.

NOTE:
In
vehicles
with
LED
type tail lights you may
not
have enough current
to
operate a camera
or
other
device by drawing power
from
the
tail lamp
directly.
In
this
case
use
the
white
tail light power
as
a trigger
for
a relay and supply power
to
the
monitor/camera/triggerthrough the relay.
WIRING:
Examine
the
vehicle
to
determine
the
best way
to
run
the
power harness
to
the following:
• Accessory
power
• Reverse trigger
• Camera video connection
• Aux Video Connections
Always
use
caution
to
insure you do
not
interfere
with
any airbag
or
other
safety devices.

Reverse
camera Operation:
The
monitorwill automaticallydisplaythe
backup
camera
inwide
screen
modewheneverthevehicle is
placed
into
Reverse
gear.
NOTE:
Always
use
your mirrors
as
well
as
look behind, right,
and
left
as
obstacles
can
still
be
hidden fromview
of
the
camera.
Split
Screen
Operation:
The
split
screen
can
be
used
for
Right
and
Left
Zone
I
Blind
spotviewing or
AUX
Inputs.
When
using
for
side
view
cameras
connect
the
camera
video
signal
to
theInput
and
connectthetriggerwires
to
theturn
signal
lamp positive wire.
When
theturn
signal
isturned on the corresponding
screen
wlll showthevideo fromtheattached
camera.
To
use
as
AUX
Inputdo
notconnectthetriggerwire,
use
theon
screen
controls
to
viewthevideo
signal.
NOTE:
Reverse
modewill
always
take priority
and
showoverany otherinput
when
thevehicleis
placed
in
reverse
gear.

3.1 Understanding
The
GuideLines
The
RVM740
isequipped with adjustable guide linesthatshould
be
setcorrectlv
at
thetime
of
installation. Generally
these
guidelines
are
used
to
help drivers
estimatethedistance from
obstacles
when
parking.
There
are three
lines
forreference -
Red,
Yellow
and
Green.
These
threelinesare
displayed
on the monitor
when
caris in
reverse.
The
lines
should
be
adjusted
so
the
green
linestartsapproximately
9ft
away
fromthe rear
of
car,
theyellowline
starts approximately
6ft
away
fromthe rear
of
car,
and
the
red
line starts
approximately3ftawayfrom the rear
of
car.
The
linesshould
also
beadjusted
to
be
approxtmately6
Inches
widerthan the
vehicle on
each
side
to
assist
in parking.
In
some
applicationsthe
camera
will be mounted Off-center.
The
RVM740
allows
foradjustmentforthe position
of
the
camera
and
thewidth
of
thevehicle.
By
adjustingthe
lines
correctlythiswill insure the drive
is
viewingacorrect
representation
of
theirvehicle while
backing.

The Company warrants that should this product

any part thereof, under normal
use, be proven defective
in

or
workmanship within 36 months from the

original purchase, such defect(s) will

repaired or replaced with a new or
