ATTENTION:
Immediatelyafterreceipt,youshouldcheckyourairdryerfortransportdamage!In

Beforeputtingyourairdryerintooperationfortheveryfirsttime, theseinstructions

knifeand youfoldthecarton.
3.Modeoffunctioning
TheAD-airdryerisbuiltparticularlyforairdrying inclosedrooms. Thatdehumidifier
can prevent theformation ofcondensation,eliminatetoohighairhumidityand hold
aspecificairhumidityconstant. Thetimewhichthedryerrequiresinorderto
achieveaspecifichumiditydependsessentiallyontheenvironmentalconditions.
Theattainablehumidityvalueisequallydependent on theenvironmentalconditions.
TheAD-dehumidifierworks according tothecondensationprinciplewithheat
recovery. Thefan(shownindicativelybelow)suck themoistairthroughacool
register(evaporator).Theairbecomessofarchilledunderthe pointof
condensationhere, thatthemoist aircondenseaswaterandflowsthroughthe
pump,out intoasump. Thechilledand driedairiswarmedupat thecondenser
again.Through theheatpumpeffect,theoutlet airissomedegreeswarmerthan
thesuckedroomair.Usefulenergycan conductedupto3-foldof theelectrical
powerconsumption.Theabsolutemoistureofairisloweredcontinuouslybythe
continuouscirculationoftheroomairthrough thedevice.Thesurplusmoistureis
removedsafelyand efficiently.

4. Safety
Thecondensation dryersAD810 arefurnishedwithprotectivedevices. Thedevices
weresubjectedtoasafetyexamination.Dangersthreateninthecaseofoperating
errororabuse

-fortheefficientworkofthemachine.
Allpersonswhohavetodo withtheinstallation,serviceandmaintenanceofthe
devicesmustbequalifiedcorrespondinglyand considerthisoperatingmanual
precisely.
Using asdirected
Thecondensation dryersareintendedforthedryingof airwithatmospheric
pressure.
Riskbyaccessory
Hosesforcondensateremovalandairfiltersmust befitexpertlyandmustnottake
theprotectivedevicesofthecondensation dryersout ofoperation.Thecontrol
elementsmustalwaysremainfreelyamenable.
Authorizedusers
TheserviceofthecondensationdryersAD550/ AD650mayonlybecarriedoutby
persons,thatwereinstructedfromtheoperator.Theuserisresponsibleinthefield
of actionthirdpartiescomparedto.
Responsibilitiesfordifferent activitiesonthedevicemustofcoursebedetermined
and kept. Unclearcompetencesareasafetyhazard.
Theoperatormustmaketheoperatinginstructionavailablefortheuserandmake
surethattheuserdidunderstand themanual.
5. Installation andtransport
ThedehumidifiersofseriesAD810areconceivedforthemobileorstationary
employment.
Duringthesettingupandtransportationofthedehumidifier,thefollowingitemsare
tobeconsidered:
ØThatdehumidifiermust beinstalledsothattheaircancirculatewithout
obstructionthroughhim.Theairfilterandalsotheoutlet grilleofthefrontwall
must notbecovered.Theopenspacebeforetheoutletgrille, theairfilterand
theventilationslotneartheoperationpanelmustatleastconduct1meter.
ØBeforeeverylocalalternation ofthedevice, emptythecondensatepump(see Pt.
6.5–condensateremoval), switchoff thedeviceattheon/off-switchand pull the
powerplugfromthesocket.
ØTheairdryermustbeinstalledonaplanebaseonly.Itmustbesecuredagainst
rollingoff!
ØThatdehumidifiercanbetransporteduprightorlaidflat! Theupright
transportation istobepreferredif possible.
ØTheappliancemustbeusedexclusivelyforairdrying.

6. Operation
6.1electricalconnection
Beforeconnecting theairdryer,thefollowingitemsmustbechecked:
ØDoesthemainsvoltagecoincidewiththevoltageoftheappliance?
ØAdequatefusingofsocket andsupplysystem?
ØHasaresidual-current-operatedcircuitbreaker(r.c.c.b)beeninstalled?
ØIfacabledrumisused:hasitbeenunwound completely?
ØIstheapplianceconnectorsuitableforthebuildingsocket?
ØIsthesocket providedwithanearthconnection?
ATTENTION:
Beforeputtingtheairdryerintooperation,thetechnicaldataoftheappliance
shouldbecomparedtotheconditionsprevailing intheroomofinstallation!
6.2Puttingintooperation
ATTENTION:
Beforeputtingtheairdryerintooperation,theinstructionmanualshouldbestudied
carefully.Thus,damagesbyafalseorinappropriateoperationaswellasby
inadequateenvironmentalconditionscanbeavoided.
Forusing theairdryer,pleaseproceedasfollows:
ØAfterhaving beentransported,theairdryershouldrestforabout15 min. During
thisperiodoftime,theoilinsidetherefrigerating system,that wasfoamed
during transportwillreturnintothecompressor.Werecommend thisprocedure
sinceitextendstheservicelifeofthecompressor.
ØPuttheplug ofthedeviceintoasuitablesocket.
ØConnect ahosetothehoseconnectoratthebackofthedeviceand guidethis
hoseintoasump.Fixthehoseandmakesurethatthecondensateisguided
awaysafely.(Pt. 6.5)
ØSwitchontheunitbyactuatingtheON-OFF-switch.
ØSet therequiredhumidityvalueat thehygrostat(pleasereferinthisrespectto
'HygrostatControl'-6.4).
ØIftheexistinghumidityishigherthantheset value,theairdryerwillstartto
operate.
Iftheexistinghumidityislowerthanthesetvalue,theairdryerwill notstartto
operate.

6.4Hygrostatcontrol
TheairdryersoftheAD-seriesdisposeofahygrostatforsetting therequired
humidityvalue.Thishygrostatislocatedintheoperationpaneloftheunit.
It makesthat theairdryercutsinassoonastheambienthumidityexceedsthe
preset value. If thehumidityvaluefallsbelowthesetvalue,the hygrostat will switch
offtheunit.
Thehygrostatisplacedintheoperationpanellaterallyattheunit.

80-100%=Thedehumidifierswitchesoff
whenahumidityofapprox.
80 -95%r.h.hasachieved.

Thesmoothsettingoptionofthehygrostatmakesaveryconvenient humidity
controlpossibleforyou.Ifveryprecisevaluesarerequested,you shouldmatchthe
hygrostat withtheinformationonaprecisehygrometer.
Pleaseconsider:
Humidityvaluesof aminimumof40%-45%r.h.canbeachievedwitha
condensationdryer. Anadsorption dryeristobeemployediflowervaluesare
required.
Forthispurpose, ask yourtechnicalconsultant.
Optimalclimate:
Forliving rooms, environmentalconditionsof20°-25°Cand 50-60%r.h.are
recommended.
Forbuildingdrying,thehygrostatbecomesturnedatcontinuesrunning (POS.I).
Inthecaseofthedrying roomswithwoodequipment(e.g.floors)orpaintings,
antiquesandsimilarthingsshouldnot befallenbelowahumidityof55%.
Ask yourtechnicalconsultant inthecaseofspecialapplications.
6.5Condensateremoval
ThedehumidifierAD810isseriallyequippedwithabuilt incondensatepump.
Thecondensatepumpisplacedbelowtheairfilter,behind the back plate.
Inthebackplateaconnectorandabuttonisplaced. Afitting connectionpieceis
includedwiththedelivery.
Connection piece:
Atthehoseconnectoryoucanconnect ahose12 x2mm directly.Alternativethe
hosecan beconnectedattheconnectionpiece(see following picture).That
connectionpiececan befixedandremovedagainatthehoseconnectorveryeasy.
ATTENTION:
Makesurethatthecondensatecanalwaysbehandledsafely. Fixtheend ofthe
hoseinasump!

Redbutton:
Thebuiltincondensatepumpworks automaticallyduring thedrying process.It
pumpsoutthecondensatewheneveritisnecessary.
Fortechnicalreasonasmall restof waterstaysinthepump.
Ifthedeviceshouldbetransported,werecommendtoemptythepumpcompletely.
Thisistomakesurethat nowaterrunsoutwhenyoutilttheunit.
Toemptythecondensatepumpecompletely,pushtheredbuttonuntilnomore
waterflowsthrough thehose.
Neon redintheoperation panel(Pt. 6.3)
Iftheredneon intheoperationpanellightsup,thedryerhasbeenswitchedoff
becausethereisafault inthecondensatepump.
Check thepump!
Attention:
Thisfaultswitchoffdoesnotfunctionifahosehasbeendisconnectedordamaged.
Check theinternalhoseconnectionsregularlytomakesurethatno condensate
waterflowsnext totheunit.
6.6Automaticdefrosting
Duringairdrying,icemayformattheevaporator.Thevolumeof icedependson the
ambient conditionsprevailingintheroomtobedried.
TheAD810 isequippedwithanautomatichot-gasdefrosting.Itensuresthat,
depending on theextent oficeformation, theappliancewillbe defrosted
automaticallyaccordingtothefollowing principle:
ØAtemperaturesensormeasurestheconditionexisting inacriticalareaofthe
evaporator.
ØIttransmitsthesignalfordefrostingtotheDryLogic-electronic. TheDryLogic
findsout ifdefrostingisnecessary,and it willstartdefrost-modeon itsown.
ØDuringdefrostingthecompressorworksandthefandoesnotwork
When theiceisdefrosted,thedehumidifierwillstartagainwithdehumidifying.
7. Operating conditions
AD-condensationdryersaresuitablefortheefforton constructionsites,in
residentialbuildings, inswimminghalls,ingaragesandstorerooms. AD-
condensationdryersworkproblem-free at thetemperaturerangeof +3to+32°C
and inthecaseofrelativehumidityfrom40%to95%r.h..
Theuseinroomswithhighertemperaturesleadstodisadvantagesatthe
compressor. Theuseinroomswithlowertemperaturesisineffectiveand can lead
toicing.
Alsothestorageof thedehumidifierat inadmissibletemperatureconditionscan lead
todamages/problemswhileimmediateswitch-on.Therefore, makepossibleshort
timeforadaptationforthedevicebeforeswitch-on.

ATTENTION:
The appliancemustnotbeusedunderthefollowing conditions:
Øinroomsof potentiallyexplosiveatmosphere
Øinroomsof aggressiveatmospheres,forexampleammoniaand woodacid
ØInroomswithwaterwhichshowsapH-value outside of7,0to7,4. Remark: In
The caseoflowerpH-value, corrosion occursatallmetalsand damagesoccurs
at mortarcontaining materials. InthecaseofhigherpH-value, it comesto
irritation ofskinand eyemucousmembraneandextremelimedeposits.
ØInroomswithsalt orsaltyliquids. Salt content>1%(alsosolebaths).
ØInroomsofairtreatedwithozone
Øinroomsfeaturing ahigh concentration ofsolvents
Øinroomsof anextremelyhigh ratioofdust.
ØPleaseconsideralso,that extremelyairmovingsaroundthe dryercan annoy
oraffectthefunction ofthedryerastheairflowofthedryercan notflowas
planned.
Inthecaseofdoubtfuloperatingconditionsitisrecommendedtocontactthe
TechnicalDepartmentof Messrs. AERIALoraspecializeddealer.
Using anAD-airdryerunderinadequateoperatingconditionswill entailthat
thewarrantybecomesnull andvoid.

condensationdryerdecideonthecapacityofthedevice.Sincethesecomponents
can neverbecompletelyidentical,inaccordancetoDINEN810 thecapacitymay

ATTENTION
When performinganyrepairormaintenance,thegeneralsafetyrulesand
provisionsmust beadheredto!
Inordertoguarantee atroublefree functionof thedryerthedeviceshouldbe
cleanedregularly.Thefollowing procedureisrecommended:
ØSwitchoff thedryer
ØPullmaincablefromthesocket
ØRemovefilterholder(see 1.1)
ØRemovefilterandclean ororganizenewone
ØRemovecover(front/top-panel).
ØCheck pump,all hoseconnectionsandhoses
ØBlowoutdevicecautiouslywithcompressedair.(wearprotectivegoggles!)In
thiscase,it mightensurethatallcomponentsarecleaned. (Compressor,
evaporator,condenser, ect.)
Ømountcover(front/top-panel).
ØClean casewithmoistcloth.Donotuseaggressivedetergent
ØInsertneworcleanedfilter. UseonlyoriginalAERIAL-filterforproblemfree
working.

10.Troubleshooting
Assignthat dehumidifieraputativedefect on, please, first check thefollowing points.
Ifthisshouldprovidenorelief, pleasecontactyourtechnicalconsultant.
1) Thedehumidifiershowsabadornodrying capacity
-Thehumidityislowerthan40%r.h.orthetemperatureinthatroomislowerthan
+3°C. Theusingofthedryerisuneconomicalinthecaseoftheseconditions.It is
recommendedtodisconnectthedryer. Tipp:Putthebuilt-inhygrostatonan
attainablevalue(e.g. approx.50%r.F.), withitthedryerpunctuallymayswitchoff.
-Theairfilterissoiled.Thedryerdoesnotreceiveairsufficiently.Clean thefilter
and/orinstallanewone. Asoiledairfiltercaninthelongrunlead to
disadvantagesatthedryer. Tipp: Controlthefilterregularly. Doonlyuseoriginal
airfilters!
2) Thefanof the dehumidifierdoesnotwork,thecompressorstillturns.
-Theunitisindefrost mode.Inthiscasethecompressorstillrunsandthefandoes
notrun. Aftersomeminutes,theunit will start withregularworking
3) Thecompletedryerisoutof operation. Fanandcompressordoesnotrun.
-Isthedryerswitchedon?TheOn-/Off-switchmust beinposition `I´andmustlight
up.
-Istheunitsuppliedwithvoltage?TheOn/Off-switchmustlight upinPos. `I´.
Check themaincable,an additionalcable,thesocketandthemainfuse.
-Thehumidityvalueadjustedat thehygrostat isachieved. Thedryerwillstartagain
afterexceeding theadjustedhumidity.
-Thereisafaultatthecondensatepumpe.Inthatcasethered neon inthe
operation panel(see Pt. 1.1)lightsup.Check thepumpandallcables.Letrepair
theunitbyan expert.
4) Strong icing up at the evaporator.
-Putthedryerintoaroomwithmin.+10°Croomtemperatureand waituntil
completeiceisdefrosted. Switchon theunitagain(inthatroomwithmin.+10°C)
and let workforapprox3hours.If thereisicingupagain,pleasecontactyour
dealer.Otherwisemakesurethattheunit isonlybeenusedinroomswithmore
than+3°C.Alsothestorageofthedehumidifierat inadmissibletemperature
conditionscanlead todamages/problemswhileimmediateswitch-on.
5) Thehumidityadjustedatthehygrostat doesnotbecomeachieved and/orthe
devicedoesnotswitchoff automatic.:
-Isthehygrostat adjustedonavaluelowerthan 40–45%r.h.?Humidityvalues
withaminimumof40 %-45%r.h. can beachievedwithacondensationdryer.
Adjustthehygrostattoareachablevalue.
-Istheunitwithenough capacityforyourapplication? Theairchanging,numberof
thepersonsintheroomandopenwatersurfacesdecideonthehumidityburden
intheroom.Let calculatethenecessarycapacityfromyourdealer
-Istherealot ofwaterinthewallsorthefloor?Inthatcasethedryerneedssome
timetoremovethatwaterandtoachievean acceptablehumidityinthatroom.
