zioni contenute in questo manuale. Prestare particolar-
mente attenzione alle norme d’uso accompagnate dalle
scritte “PERICOLO” o “ATTENZIONE” in quanto, se non
osservate, possono causare danno alla macchina e/o a per-
sone e cose.
ATTENZIONE: i collegamenti elettrici, l'installazione dei
ventilconvettori e dei loro accessori devono essere eseguiti
solo da soggetti in possesso dei requisiti tecnico-professio-
nali di abilitazione all'installazione, alla trasformazione,
all'ampliamento e alla manutenzione degli impianti ed in
grado di verificare gli stessi ai fini della sicurezza e della
funzionalità (in questo manuale saranno indicati con il ter-
mine generico “personale provvisto di specifica competen-
za tecnica”).
In particolare per i collegamenti elettrici si richiedono le
verifiche relative a :
- Misura della resistenza di isolamento dell'impianto elet-
trico.
- Prova della continuità dei conduttori di protezione.
Per anomalie non contemplate da questo manuale, interpel-
lare tempestivamente il Servizio Assistenza di zona.
AERMEC S.p.A. declina ogni responsabilità per qualsiasi
danno dovuto ad un uso improprio della macchina, ad una
lettura parziale o superficiale delle informazioni contenute

L'apparecchio deve essere installato in maniera tale da ren-
dere possibili operazioni di manutenzione e/o riparazione.

dovuti ad autoscale, ponteggi o altri sistemi di elevazione che
si rendesero necessari per effettuare gli interventi in garanzia.

REMARKS
Store the manuals in a dry location to avoid deterioration, as
they must be kept for at least 10 years for any future reference.
All the information in this manual must be carefully read
and understood. Pay particular attention to the operating
standards with “DANGER” or “WARNING” signals as
their disrespect can cause damage to the machine and/or
persons or objects.
WARNING: check that the power supply is disconnected
before performing operations on the unit.
WARNING: wiring connections installation of the fancoil
and relevant accessories should be performed by a techni-
cian who has the necessary technical and professional
expertise to install, modify, extend and maintain plants and
who is able to check the plants for the purposes of safety
and correct operation (In this manual authorised personnel
are referred to with the generic term "personnel with the
necessary technical skills").
In the specific case of electrical connections, the following
must be checked:
- Measurement of the isolation resistance on the electrical
system.
- Testing of the continuity of protection conductors.
If any malfunctions are not included in this manual, contact
the local Aftersales Service immediately.
AERMEC S.p.A. declines all responsibility for any damage
whatsoever caused by improper use of the machine, and a
partial or superficial acquaintance with the information con-

The equipment should be installed so that maintenance
and/or repair services be possible.

DESCRIZIONE DELL’UNITÀ
CARATTERISTICHE GENERALI
Queste unità da esterno sono disponibili in 2 grandezze per
la versione CX-T e 2 per la versione CXA-T, con diverse
potenzialità e solo raffrescamento.
Alimentazione trifase (T) a 400V con neutro.
L’unità esterna contiene l’intera carica di refrigerante R407C
(comprensiva anche della carica per la linea frigorifera).
L’unità esterna va installata all’aperto, in posizione perfetta-
mente orizzontale, rispettando gli spazi tecnici minimi per
consentire il passaggio dell’aria e l’esecuzione di eventuali
manutenzioni.
L’unità è costruita con materiali trattati per resistere alle
intemperie e quindi non è necessario proteggerla in modo
particolare. Verificare, invece, che la batteria di scambio
termico non sia esposta al pericolo di grandine.
UNIT DESCRIPTION
MAIN DESCRIPTION
These external units are available in two sizes for the CX-T
version and two for the CXA-T version, with different poten-
tialities and only cooling.
400V Three-phase power supply (T) with neutral.
The external unit contains the entire R407C refrigerating
load (including the load also for the refrigerating line).
Outdoor units must be installed horizontally outdoors in
accordance with the minimum working dimensions to ensu-
re the passage of air and the execution of any necessary
maintenance work.
The unit is constructed in weather-resistant materials and
consequently requires no special protection. Make sure
however that the heat exchange coil is not exposed to the
risk of hail storms.

DESCRIZIONE DEI COMPONENTI
BATTERIA DI SCAMBIO TERMICO
La batteria di scambio termico in tubo di rame rigato inter-
namente ed alette in alluminio di tipo corrugato.
GRUPPO VENTILANTE
Il gruppo ventilante, con ventilatore assiale bilanciato stati-
camente e dinamicamente, direttamente accoppiato al
motore elettrico, e montato su supporti antivibranti.
SCATOLA ELETTRICA
La scheda gestisce l’accensione e lo spegnimento del com-
pressore a seconda delle richieste dell’unità interna.
COMPRESSORE
Il compressore ermetico rotativo ad alta efficenza, isolato
acusticamente, azionato da un motore elettrico con prote-
zione termo-amperometrica e montato su supporti elastici
antivibranti.
GRIGLIA DI PROTEZIONE
Griglia di protezione secondo le norme UNI EN 294.
MOBILE DI COPERTURA
La carpenteria, realizzata in lamiera zincata verniciata a
caldo con polveri poliuretaniche e in materiale plastico,
risulta durevole ed inattaccabile dalla ruggine.
CIRCUITO FRIGORIFERO
Il circuito frigorifero, realizzato in tubo di rame saldato con
lega di argento e provvisto di organo di laminazione di tipo
capillare.
IMBALLO
Le unità vengono spedite con imballo standard costituito da
gusci di protezione in polistirolo.
L’imballo standard può essere completato, su richiesta, da
una gabbia o cassa di legno.
ACCESSORI
DCPX25 – DISPOSITIVO PER BASSE TEMPERATURE
Consente un corretto funzionamento in raffreddamento con
temperature esterne inferiori a 20 °C (fino a -10 °C).
È costituito da un trasduttore montato sul lato di alta pressio-
ne e da un regolatore del numero di giri del ventilatore
dell’unità.

COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
HEAT EXCHANGE COIL
Heat exchange coil with internally grooved copper tube and
corrugated aluminium circulating flow fins.
FAN SECTION
Fan unit with statically and dynamically balanced axial fan,
directly coupled to electric motor, set on vibration-damping
supports.
ELECTRIC BOX
The card controls the activation/deactivation of the com-
pressor in accordance with indoor unit requirements.
COMPRESSOR
Soundproofed high-efficiency rotary hermetic compressor,
actuated by electric motor with thermal-amp protection,
mounted on vibration-damping supports.
PROTECTION GRILLE
Protection grille (UNI EN 294).
HOUSING
The housing of the unit is made from polyurethane hot-pain-
ted galvanised sheet metal and plastic, making it extremely
sturdy and virtually rustproof.
REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT
Refrigerant circuit made from copper tube welded with sil-
ver alloy, with capillary expansion device.
PACKING
Units are shipped in standard packing filled with polystyre-
ne shells.
Wooden or slatted crates are available on request to supple-
ment the standard packing provided.
ACCESSORIES
DCPX25 - LOW TEMPERATURE DEVICE
Allows correct cooling operation with external temperatures
below 20 °C (down to -10 °C).
Comprises a transducer mounted on low pressure side and a
fan speed regulator.

ANOMALIE DI FUNZIONAMENTO
In caso di funzionamento anomalo dell’unità (intervento
degli allarmi), dopo aver eliminato la causa dell’intervento,
procedere ad un riavviamento dell’apparecchio. Se il pro-
blema si ripresenta, chiamare tempestivamente il Servizio
Assistenza di zona.
MALFUNCTIONS
In the event of unit malfunctions (alarm blocks), after
having eliminated the cause of the block, reset the unit.
USI IMPROPRI
L’apparecchio è progettato e costruito per garantire la mas-
sima sicurezza nelle sue immediate vicinanze, nonchè per
resistere agli agenti atmosferici. Il ventilatore è protetto da
intrusioni involontarie mediante griglie di protezione.
IMPROPER USES
The unit is designed and constructed to guarantee maximum
safety in its immediate proximity, and to resist weathering.
The unit fan is shielded against accidental contact by a pro-
tective guard.
NON inserire oggetti attraverso

INSTALLATION
Instructions for the correct installation of equipment are
indicated below. However, it is at the installer’s discretion to
complete all the installation operations in accordance with
specific requirements.
Conditioning units using R407C refrigerant gas require
special attention during assembly and maintenance opera-
tions. To prevent operating malfunctions, always:
- apply vacuum to the unit and unit lines before opening
the valves of the condensing unit.
- eliminate all water inside the refrigerant circuit.
- use the specified type of oil to top up the compressor.
R407C series rotary compressors use DAPHNE FV68S oil
only.
- In the event of significant gas charge leaks, do not repleni-
sh the refrigerant fluid. Drain the machine completely,
apply vacuum then recharge with the specified quantity.
- In the event of replacement of refrigerant circuit parts,
never leave the circuit open for more than 15 minutes.
- In the event of compressor replacement, complete instal-
lation within 15 minutes of removal of the rubber plugs.
- Never compress air inside the compressor.
- Never power up the compressor when empty.
- Should it be necessary to increase the refrigerant charge
due to cooling lines longer than 10 m, make sure that the
refrigerant added is in liquid form.
- Using R407C gas bottle take care to the maximum num-
ber of allowed drawings in order to ensure the correct
proportioning of R407C gas.
Before recharging the unit make sure any time that you are
using the refrigerant gas indicated in the table containing
the characteristics of the condensing unit.
UNIT LEVEL DIFFERENCES
The maximum permissible level difference between indoor
and outdoor units for cooling-only models is ± 7 m.
If the position of the outdoor unit is higher than that of the
indoor unit, you are advised to fit a siphon or equivalent
system on the gas line every 3 metres of height difference.
OUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
Outdoor units must be installed horizontally outdoors in
accordance with the minimum working dimensions to ensu-
re the passage of air and the execution of any necessary
maintenance work.
The unit is constructed in weather-resistant materials and
consequently requires no special protection. Make sure
however that the heat exchange coil is not exposed to the
risk of hail storms.
INDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
For unit installation and technical data, see the indoor unit

INSTALLAZIONE
Vengono qui riportate le indicazioni per una corretta instal-
lazione delle apparecchiature. Si lascia comunque all’espe-
rienza dell’installatore il perfezionamento di tutte le opera-
zioni a seconda delle esigenze specifiche.
I condizionatori funzionanti con gas frigorigeno R407C
richiedono particolari attenzioni nel montaggio e nella
manutenzione al fine di preservarli da anomalie di funzio-
namento, è necessario pertanto:
- Eseguire obbligatoriamente il vuoto nelle linee e
nell’unità interna prima di aprire i rubinetti dell’unità con-
densante.
- Evitare che tracce di acqua possano essere presenti
all’interno del circuito frigorifero.
- Evitare reintegri d’olio differente da quello specificato già
precaricato nel compressore. I compressori rotativi della
serie R407C utilizzano olio DAPHNE FV68S.
- In caso vi siamo fughe di gas tali da rendere il condizio-
natore anche solo parzialmente scarico, evitare di reinte-
grare la parte di fluido frigorigeno, ma scaricare comple-
tamente la macchina e dopo avere eseguito il vuoto rica-
ricarla con la quantità prevista.
- In caso di sostituzione di qualsiasi parte del circuito frigo-
rifero, non lasciare il circuito aperto più di 15 minuti.
- In caso di sostituzione del compressore, completare
l’installazione entro 15 minuti dopo averne rimosso i
tappi in gomma.
- Non comprimere aria all’interno del compressore.
- Non dare tensione al compressore in condizioni di vuoto.
- Qualora sia necessario prevedere un reintegro di carica
frigorifera dovuto all’utilizzo di linee frigorifere di lun-
ghezza superiore ai 10 m, assicurarsi che il refrigerante di
reintegro sia in forma liquida.
- Utilizzando bombole di gas R407C si raccomanda di fare
attenzione al numero massimo di prelievi consentito al
fine di garantire il corretto rapporto dei componenti la
miscela gassosa R407C.
Prima di ogni reintegro o ricarica accertarsi di usare lo
stesso gas frigorifero indicato nella tabella delle caratteri-
stiche della unità condensante.
DISLIVELLI TRA UNITÀ
Il dislivello massimo consentito fra unità interne ed esterne
è di ±7 m.
Quando l’unità esterna è posta più in alto, si consiglia di
prevedere un sifone o un “ricciolo” sulla linea del gas ogni
3 metri di dislivello.
INSTALLAZIONE DELL’UNITÀ ESTERNA
L’unità esterna va installata all’aperto, in posizione perfetta-
mente orizzontale, rispettando gli spazi tecnici minimi per
consentire il passaggio dell’aria e l’esecuzione di eventuali
manutenzioni.
L’unità è costruita con materiali trattati per resistere alle
intemperie e quindi non è necessario proteggerla in modo
particolare. Verificare, invece, che la batteria di scambio
termico non sia esposta al pericolo di grandine.
INSTALLAZIONE DELL’UNITÀ INTERNA

Tecnico/Installazione dell’unità interna.

COLLEGAMENTI ELETTRICI
Le unità interne ed esterne devono essere collegate elettri-
camente fra di loro come indicato negli schemi elettrici.
Per proteggere l’unità contro i cortocircuiti, montare sulla
linea di alimentazione un interruttore onnipolare magneto-
termico 400V (IM) (con alimentazione 3+N~ 400V 50Hz)
o 250V (IM1) (con alimentazione 1~ 230V 50Hz ), con
distanza minima di apertura dei contatti di 3mm (TAV. F).
I morsetti di collegamento dell’unità esterna sono posizio-
nati nella scatola elettrica, accessibile togliendo la chiusura
laterale in plastica.
Per i collegamenti tra unità interne ed esterne e i valori
delle sezioni dei cavi e dell’interruttore IM, vedere il capito-
lo “Schemi elettrici”.
COLLEGAMENTI FRIGORIFERI
I collegamenti frigoriferi devono essere eseguiti con cura, in
particolare si deve evitare, in ogni fase della preparazione,
che delle impurità possano penetrare all’interno dei tubi.
Per la scelta delle linee frigorifere far riferimento alla TAB. C.
Per l’esecuzione dei collegamenti frigoriferi procedere
come segue:
Solo per CXA 2407 T:
Per l’installazione dell’unità ECA 240 con CXA 2407 T è
necessario montare sull’unità interna ECA 240 il niplo
adattatore fornito a corredo dell’unità CXA 2407 T.
- misurare la distanza tra le unità ripercorrendo il percorso
delle linee e tenendo conto, qualora ve ne fosse bisogno,
della lunghezza necessaria per realizzare un “ricciolo”;
- tagliare i tubi con il tagliatubi, alla lunghezza necessaria
più un margine di 30-40 cm per far fronte ad eventuali
errori di misura.
- tappare le estremità della linea e del rotolo avanzato con
del nastro,
- far passare le linee, il tubo di scarico condensa ed i cavi
elettrici attraverso il foro praticato nella parete, facendo
coincidere le estremità delle linee con gli attacchi delle
unità;
- preparare le linee frigorifere in corrispondenza dell’unità
interna;
- lisciare le estremità con uno svasatubi;
- ritagliare una porzione di isolante in prossimità delle
estremità ed infilare i dadi conici prima di svasare;
- per la svasatura utilizzare un flangiatubi conico;
WIRING CONNECTIONS
The indoor and outdoor units must be electrically connec-
ted together as specified in the wiring diagrams.
To protect fan coils against short circuits, always fit the
power cable to the units with 250V 400V (IM) (power sup-
ply 3+N~ 400V 50Hz) or 250V (IM1) (power supply 1~
230V 50Hz ), thermo-magnetic all-pole switches with a
minimum contact gap of 3 mm (TAV F).
The outdoor unit connection terminals are located in the
junction box, and may be accessed by removing the plastic
side closure.
For indoor and outdoor unit connections anf for the relative
cross-section and IM switch values, refer to the “Wiring dia-
gram” chapter.
REFRIGERATION LINE CONNECTIONS
Great care must be taken when connecting refrigeration
lines; it is particularly important to ensure that no impurities
enter the tubes during all stages of preparation.
For selection of refrigerant tubing, refer to TAB.C.
To make refrigeration line connections, proceed as follows:
Only for CXA 2407 T:
For the installation of the ECA 240 unit with CXA 2407 T it
is necessary to fit the adapter nipple supplied with the
CXA 2407 T unit on the ECA 240 inside unit.
- measure the distance between the units following the
route to be taken by the lines, taking into account where
necessary the additional length required to make bends;
- using a tube cutter, cut the tubing to the required length,
leaving a margin of 30-40 cm to allow for any errors in
measurement.
- plug the ends of the cut line and the tube left on the roll
with tape,
- feed the lines, the condensate drain tube and the electri-
cal cables through the hole predrilled in the wall; position
the ends of the line near the fittings on the units;
- first prepare the lines for connection to the inside unit;
- smooth the ends of the tubes using a swaging tool;
- trim back the insulation near the end of the tube and fit
the tapered nut before swaging;
- use a tapered flaring tool;
- check that the taper is parallel to the longitudinal axis of
the tube;
- before connecting the tubes to the inside unit, check that

- verificare che la superficie conica sia in asse con il tubo;
- prima di effettuare l’unione delle linee con l’unità interna,
assicurarsi che la posizione sia quella definitiva e quindi
eseguire il serraggio avendo cura di pulire le superfici dei
giunti in modo da garantire il perfetto contatto delle
superfici di serraggio;
- sagomare le linee frigorifere fino a portarle in corrispon-
denza dei raccordi sull'unità esterna (al fine di non
schiacciare la sezione dei tubi, si raccomanda di non rea-
lizzare le curve delle linee frigorifere con un raggio infe-
riore ai 100 mm);
- preparare le linee frigorifere in corrispondenza dell’unità
esterna, tagliare l’eventuale lunghezza in esubero e pre-
parare le estremità come si è già fatto per l’unità interna;
- prima di effettuare l’unione delle linee con l’unità esterna,
assicurarsi che la posizione sia quella definitiva e quindi
eseguire il serraggio avendo cura di pulire le superfici dei
giunti in modo da garantire il perfetto contatto delle
superfici di serraggio;
- stringere i raccordi sulle unità usando chiave e controchiave;
- collegare la pompa a vuoto sulle prese a spillo (A) dei
raccordi delle linee del gas;
- non aprire i rubinetti (il vuoto va fatto sulle linee e
sull’unità interna);
- effettuare il vuoto fino a raggiungere i 100 - 120 mmHg;
- una volta eseguita questa serie di operazioni ed aver,
definitivamente, scollegato la pompa a vuoto, aprire com-
pletamente i rubinetti agendo sui dadi (B) con una chiave
maschio esagonale da 5 mm;
- rimettere i cappucci (C) e stringerli;
- le parti scoperte delle linee ed i raccordi devono essere
isolati con nastro coibentato;
- effettuare lo scarico condensa;
- dopo aver verificato che tutto sia in regola e le posizioni
delle linee siano quelle definitive, fissare insieme i cavi e
le linee frigorifere ed ancorarle con delle fascette.

- bend the tubes to position the ends in correspondence
with the outside unit (to avoid pinching the tube, bends
in refrigeration lines should not be formed with a radius of
less 100 mm);
- prepare the ends of the tubes for connection to the outsi-
de unit, cut off any excess length and prepare the ends as
for the connections to the inside unit;
- before connecting the tubes to the outside unit, check
that they are in their final position. Clean the joint surfaces
to ensure perfect sealing and connect the fittings;
- tighten the fittings on both units using two wrenches;
- connect the vacuum pump to the core valve fittings (A) of
the refrigerant lines;
- do not open the valves (the vacuum is to be obtained in
the lines and the inside unit);
- operate the pump to obtain a vacuum of 100 - 120
mmHg;
- on completing these operations and after having finally
disconnected the vacuum pump, open the valves fully by
turning nuts (B) using a 5 mm hex wrench;
- replace the caps (C) and tighten them;
- all exposed parts of the lines and the fittings must be insu-
lated with insulation tape;
- drain off the condensate;
- after checking that all the connections are properly made
and that the tubes are in their final positions, tie the cables
and tubes together and secure them with anchor straps.

OBSERVATIONS
Conserver les manuels dans un endroit sec, afin d’éviter leur
détérioration, pendant au moins 10, pour toutes éventuelles
consultations futures.
Lire attentivement et entièrement toutes les informations
contenues dans ce manuel. Prêter une attention particuliè-
re aux normes d’utilisation signalées par les inscriptions
“DANGER” ou “ATTENTION”, car leur non observance
pourrait causer un dommage à l’appareil et/ou aux person-
nes et objets.
ATTENTION: les raccordements électriques, l'installation des
ventiloconvecteurs et de leurs accessoires ne doivent être exé-
cutés que par des personnes en possession de la qualification
technico-professionnelle requise pour l'habilitation à l'installa-
tion, la transformation, le développement et l'entretien des
installations, et en mesure de vérifier ces dernières aux fins de
la sécurité et de la fonctionnalité (dans ce manuel le "person-
