By pressing the ON/OFF button it is possible to switch
the unit on or off. When off, some information is still
displayed on the remote control: the operating set-
point of the last operating mode used, and switch on
timers programmed (ON) and any icons tied to the
function active during the last switch on of the unit
(enabling the display of the indoor unit, etc.) Once
switched on the unit uses the settings selected during
the last operating session.

The various operating modes have different features
and ranges:
• AUTOMATIC mode (AUTO): in this mode, the
remote control does not display any set-point value.
In AUTO mode the unit will automatically set the
temperature while the fan speed and the air outlet
angle can be adjusted
• COOLING mode (COOL)
: in this mode the user
must set the operating set-point and a fan speed;
if the room temperature is higher than the set
value (which can be seen on the display), the air
conditioner will continue to cool the air until the
room temperature reaches the set-point value.
• DEHUMIDIFICATION mode (DRY): in this mode the
user must set the operating set-point but not the fan
speed (which remains fixed at minimum); if the room
temperature is higher than the set value (which
can be seen on the display), the air conditioner
will continue to dehumidify the air until the room
temperature reaches the set-point value.
• VENTILATION mode (FAN): in this mode the user
must only set the fan speed. This mode provides no
heating or cooling, using only the internal fan to
ventilate the room.
• HEATING mode (HEAT): in this mode the user must
set the operating set-point and a fan speed; if the
room temperature is lower than the set value (which
can be seen on the display), the air conditioner will
continue to heat the air until the room temperature
reaches the set-point value.
WARNING
To prevent cold air jets in heating mode, the
indoor unit will delay its operation for about 1-5
minutes (the actual delay time will depend on the
room temperature measured).

10
Press the FAN button to modify the fan speed. In DRY
mode (dehumidification), the fan will automatically
change to the minimum speed.
NOTE
• The Turbo FUNCTION is not available in DRY
or AUTO mode.
• Automatically activates QUIET speed when
the suspension function starts up.
• The unit works at low speed in DRY and AUTO
mode (the speed cannot be adjusted).
• In AUTO mode, the air conditioner will
automatically select the appropriate speed on
the basis of the room temperature.

The unit has a timer for programming unit switch-on at
a specified time.
If the TIMER button is pressed while the unit is
switched off, you will access timer programming mode
(the HOUR and ON icons underneath the time will start
flashing). Press or to set the required switch-on
time. By keeping the TIMER button pressed for about 2
seconds, the time will move quickly on the display and

Press TIMER again to confirm the time and activate the
programming. If you want to cancel a programmed
switch-on, just press TIMER again to delete it.
NOTE
• The time setting gap is from 0.5 to 24 hours.
• When making two operations (TIMER ON and
TIMER OFF), the time gap between them (with
no keys pressed) must not be more than 5
seconds. Otherwise, the programmed ON or
OFF operation will be automatically annulled.
• Once a programmed switch-on has been set,
the operating mode, working set-point and
fan speed will be the same as at the last unit
switch-off.

the X-FAN function will remain active even after the
unit has been switched off via the remote control.
The icon will remain visible on the display to
indicate that the function is active.
During the operation in cooling or dehumidification
mode the condensate caused by the humidity in the air
is formed on the heat exchanger within the unit.
With the X-FAN function, the indoor unit fan carries
on working for a few minutes after unit switch-off to
completely dry the coil and avoid the formation and
proliferation of pathogens.
With the unit switched on, press the X-FAN/E-HEATER
button to activate or deactivate the function (only in
cooling or dehumidification mode).

The night-time comfort function is deactivated by
switching off the unit; it will not be active when
the unit is restarted. It can be activated at any
moment during the day.
The night-time comfort function controls the air
conditioner in an optimal way during the night. The
following logic is applied:
• In cooling or dehumidification: the temperature
set-point is gradually increased (no more than +3°C)
to guarantee maximum comfort combined with
energy savings.
• In heating: the temperature set-point is gradually
decreased (no more than -3°C) to guarantee
maximum comfort combined with energy savings.
If the unit is ON (and automatic or ventilation-only
mode is not selected), press SLEEP button to activate
or deactivate the night-time comfort function. If this
