OPERATION PUSH CART
IMPORTANT:Leavetheclevispininthelatchlockatall
timeswhileusingthecartasapushcart.Theclevispin
isshowningure1onpage5.
1. Toconvertthecartfromtowtopush:
a. Removethe3/8"x1"clevispin,hairpincotterand
plasticcapfromthelegstandbracket.
b. Installthe3/8"x1"clevispinandhairpincotterin
thelatchstandbrackets.
c. Remove the 4" long clevis pin and hairpin cotter
whichsecurethetongueinthetowingposition.(See
gure10onpage7.)
d. Pivot the front tongue into the storage position
underneaththereartongueandsecureitusingthe3/8"
x4"clevispinandhairpincotter.(Refertogure5on
page 6.)
e. Placetheplasticcapovertheexposedendofthe
tongue.
2. Forbesthandlingandtohelppreventaccidentaltipping,
distributetheweightoftheloadevenlyinthecart.
3. Donotloadmoreweightintothepushcartthanyou
canhandleandcontrolcomfortably.
4. To dump material from the push cart, lift up on the
handleandtiltthecartforward.Be surethatthelatch
mechanismonthetongueislockedandsecuredwiththe
clevispintopreventaccidentalreleaseofthelatch.
CAUTION: To avoid possible injury,
beforereleasingthelatchbesurethat
nooneisnearthecart.
TOW CART
1. Toconvertthecartfrompushtotow:
(Seegure10onpage7.)
a. Removetheplasticcapfromthetongue.
b. Removethe3/8"x4"clevispinandhairpincotterthat
securethefronttongueinstoragepositionunderneath
thereartongue.
c. Pivotthefronttongueoutwardandsecureitinthe
towingpositionusingthe3/8"x4"clevispinandhairpin
cotter.
d. Removethe3/8"x1"clevispinandhairpincotter
fromthelatchmountbrackets.Usethe3/8"x1"clevis
pinandhairpincottertosecuretheplasticcaptothe
legstandbracket.
2. Refertothevehicleownersmanualforinstructionson
safe operation on slopes.
3. Usetheslopeguideonpage9todeterminewhether
theslopeangleistoosteepforsafeoperation.
4. Alwaystesttomakesureyourtractorhas adequate
towing and braking capabilities whenever hauling a
substantialamount of weight in yourcart. Use extra
cautionwhenoperatingonslopes.
CAUTION: Vehicle braking and stability
may be affected with the addition of an
accessoryoranattachment.Beawareof
changingconditionsonslopes.
5. Forbesthandlingandtraction,distributetheweightof
theloadevenlyinthecart.
6. Todump materialfrom the cart,removethe 1" long
clevispinfromthelatchonthetongueandreleasethe
latch.Thecartbedwillthentiltbackwardstoemptyits
contents.Afteremptying,pullthefrontofthebeddown
towardthecarttongueuntilthelatchsnapsintoplace.
Reinstalltheclevispininthelatchtopreventaccidental
releaseofthelatch.
7. Themaximumtowingspeedforthiscartis10m.p.h.
MAINTENANCE
1. Atthebeginningofeachseason,usingalightmachine
oil,lubricatethelatch,thelatchpivotbolt,andthearea
oftheaxlewherethedrawbartonguepivots.
2. Grease or oil the wheel bearings periodically. Use
automotive wheel bearing type grease or 20 weight
oil.
3. Checkperiodicallyforloosebolts.
4. Keeptiresadequatelylled.Donotexceedthemaximum
recommended pressure on tire.
