1. RemovetheUSB PortCover.
2. SlideoutthebatterycompartmentcoverfromthebackofthePlayer
3. Insert1 fully-chargedAAALR03 battery intothebatterycompartment.Thepositive(+)and
negative(-) symbols inthebatterycompartmentindicatehowthebatteryshouldbeinserted.
4. Replace thebatterycompartmentcover.
5. Replace theUSB PortCover.
ThePlayerisnowreadyforuse.
BasicOperations
Afterreadingthrough thisUserManual(andviewingtheTutorialPresentations, ifdesired), you
areready tostartusing thePlayer.
TurningthePlayerON
WhenthePlayeris OFF, press and hold thePLAYbuttonforseveralseconds.
TheAigo logo will appear in theLCDscreen as thePlayer is powering up.
NOTE: ThePlayercannotbeturnedoniftheHoldswitchisintheON position(towardthe
Lockicon).EnsurethattheHoldswitchisintheOFF position(awayfromtheLock

PlayingRecordedVoice Files
WiththePlayerON and inVoicemode, press thePLAYbutton briefly.
Theselected voice filewill begin to play.
Pausingtracks
1. Whileatrackis playing inMusicmode,press thePLAYbutton briefly.
TheArtistand Track Namewillstop scrolling across theLCDscreenand theElapsedPlay
Timewill stop running/increasing.
2. Press thePLAYbuttonagainbrieflytoremovethePauseand beginplayingthetrackfromthe
pointthatit was paused.
Selectingatrack/file
WiththePlayerON and inMusicmode,press theSkiptoNextorSkiptoPreviousbutton toscroll
tothenexttrack(forwardorback).
KeeppressingtheSkiptoNextorSkiptoPrevious button until youfindtheoneyouwanttoplay.
Scrollingthroughmenus & sub-menus
UsetheSkiptoNext(orSkiptoPrevious)buttontoscroll forward(orbackward)throughthe
options withinanymenuorsub-menu.

Fast-forwardingandFast-Reversing
1. WiththePlayerON andplaying, press and hold theSkiptoNextorSkiptoPrevious buttonto
fastscroll forwardorbackwardthroughthetracks.
2. ReleasetheSkiptoNext(orSkiptoPrevious)buttononceyouhavereachedthetrackthat
youwanttoplay, andthetrackwill begintoplay.
Increasing/decreasingVolume
Press eitherthe+ or –buttononthesideofthePlayer,dependingonwhetheryou wantto increase
ordecreasethevolume.
TheVolumelevelindicator intheLCDscreenwill go up (or down)and thevolumeyou hear will
beeither louder or softer(dependingon your selection).
HoldSwitch-Locking thebuttons/keys
Inordertoavoidaccidentalpushing ofbuttons/keys, theycanbe locked”usingtheHoldswitch
locatedonthesideofthePlayer.
1. ToactivatetheHoldfunction, slidetheHoldswitchtowards theLockicon.
Oncethebuttons/keysarelocked, aLock symbolwill appear intheLCDdisplay.All the
other buttons (exceptthe hold”button)will notworkas normalwhen pressed.
2. To unlock”thebuttonsandde-activatetheHoldfunction,slidetheHoldswitchtothe
oppositepositionfromtheLockicon.
Thebuttons/keys on thePlayer will then operateas normal.
Note: TheMP3Playerwill turnoffautomaticallyiftheHoldswitchisintheON position
whenattemptingtoturnthePlayeron.

Displaying Lyrics
ThisPlayersupportstheuseof.LRClyricfilessothatlyricscanbedisplayedsimultaneously
whileatrackis beingplayed.
Thetracksthatyouchoosetoputon thePlayerwill nothavethelyricswiththem,soyouwill
needgetthelyricfilesandputthemontothePlayer.Thelyricsofmany songscanbe
downloadedfromvariousInternetsites -forexample, from:
http://www.mstclub.com/lyrics/search.aspx

Transferring Lyrics Files onto thePlayer
TotransferalyricfileontothePlayer:
1. ConnectthePlayertoyouPC withtheUSB cable(as outlinedlaterinthismanual).
2. OpenWindows Explorerandfindtheexactnameofthetrackormusicfile(i.e. GiGi-Sky.mp3)
forwhichyou wantlyrics.
3. Downloadalyricfilein.LRC formatfromtheInternet,makingsuretosavethelyricfilewith
exactlythesamenameas thatofthecorrespondingmusicfile.
Example:
Musicfilename:GiGi-Sky.mp3
Lyricfilename:GiGi-Sky.lrc

If you donotknowhowtochangethefilenameaspartofthedownloadprocess, thenrename
thefileafterit has beendownloaded.
NOTE: Thelyricfilewill haveadifferentsuffix(.LRC)thanthemusicfile(.MP3) –justmake
surethatthe nameofthefilebeforethedotor full stop is thesame.
4. If it isnotalreadyon thePlayer, copythemusicfileontothePlayer, as describedelsewhere in
thismanual.
5. Copythe.LRC lyricfileontothePlayerinthesamelocationas themusicfile.
6. DisconnectthePlayerfromthePC.
Viewing/Showing Lyrics whilea trackis playing
If atrackhasamatching.LRC lyricfileonthePlayer,thenalyriciconwill appear intheLCD
screenandthelyricswill automaticallyappear intheLCDscreenas thetrackisplaying.
Note: TheAigoA208 MP3playersupports .LRC formatonly.
Toviewlyrics:
1. TurnthePlayerON.
2. UsetheSkipForward/SkipPreviousbuttonstofindthetrackthatyouwishtoplaythathasa
matching.LRC lyricfile.
3. Press PLAY.
4. Thelyricswill appear intheLCDscreenas thetrackisplaying.
Note: If thelyricsdonotsynchronizeproperlywiththemusic,it maybebecausethe
triggers”usedbythe.LRC filethattell it whentochangealongwiththemusichave
notbeeninsertedinthecorrectplace inthetrack.Therefore,it isrecommendedthat
youdownloadadifferent(andbetter) lyricfilefromInternetandtryagain.
Note: MakesuretheMP3musicandLRC fileislocatedinsamedirectoryonthePlayerand
thatthefilenameis exactly thesame.Ifnot,theMP3playercannotrecognizethe
lyricfile.
RecordMode
UsetheRecordmodetorecordvoice directlyontothePlayer(as afilein.WAVformat).
Recording
1. EntertheMainMenubypressingtheMENUkeyonthesideofthePlayer.
2. Once intheMainMenu,usetheSkiptoNext(orSkiptoPrevious)button toscroll through
theoptionsuntil theRecordmodeis selected.
3. Press theMENUbutton briefly once toconfirmyourselectionoftheRecordmode.

4. Press thePLAYbuttontobeginrecording.
TheLCDscreenwilldisplaythenameofthefilethatisabouttoberecorded,andthetimer
willbeatzero(00:00:00).An exampleoftheLCDscreenintheRecordmodeisshown
below.
As recording occurs, thetimerwill begintoincrease.MakesurethattheMICholeisnot
covered or obstructed in anyway.
NOTE: ThePlayerdoesnothaveautomaticvoicecontrol,whichmeansthatevenifthereisno
soundthePlayerwillcontinuetorecord.
5. Press theSTOPbuttontostoprecordingand savethevoicefilejustrecorded.
Thevoice recording will have beensavedas afilenamed Vxxx.WAVintheVoicefolderonthe
Player.
6. Press thePLAYbuttontolistentothevoicefileyou justrecorded.
7. Toexit theRecordmode,press MENUbuttononthesideofthePlayertoaccess theMain
Menuandselectanothermode.
Note: TheLCDscreenwilldisplay thewords MEMORYFULL”when all availablememory
has beenused.
Voice Mode
UsetheVoicemodetolistentothevoicefilesthatyouhadrecordeddirectlyontothePlayer
(in.WAVformat).
Replaying Voice Files
Theoperationsinvolvedinreplaying voicefilesaresimilar tothoseusedfortheplaybackof
musictracks.
1. EntertheMainMenubypressingtheMENUbuttononthesideofthePlayer.
2. UsetheSkiptoNext(orSkiptoPrevious)buttontonavigatetotheVoice modeoption.
3. Press theMENUbuttonbrieflyonce toconfirmyourselection andentertheVoice mode.

reachthedesiredone.

7. ToexittheVoice mode,pressMENUbuttonon thesideofthePlayertoaccess theMain
