Using the Remote Control
Using the remote control
Point the remotecontrol directly atthe remote sensor
on the frontof the DVDPlayer.

Installing the battery
1. Open thebattery compartment coverusing a coin.
3. Replace thebattery compartment coverand turn clockwise
until it stops.
2. Insert a3V lithium batteryinto the batterycompartment with
the polarity (+ ) facingup as marked.

Connecting the LCD Screens
The power forthe two screensis provided bythe DVD playerthrough the providedcables which alsoserve to providethe audio/video
signal from theplayer to thescreens. Follow thesesteps to makethe connections.
Warning!
1. Do notturn on theDVD player poweruntil the connection of Power/AV cable between the Player and the screen is done.
2. Alwaysturn off the DVD playerpower before disconnectingthe Power/AV cable between the Player and the screen.
1. Connect oneend of thePower/AV cable (mini DIN)to the OUT1 on the playerand the otherend to theDC. AV INPUT on the screen.
2. Repeat step1 for theother screen.

Using USB Port

Pluging a USB device
1.Plug inthe USB deviceto the USBport on theplayer.
2.Repeatedly press DVD/USB to select USBmode.
Removing a USB device
You can remove the USB device anytime even it is playing. To remove theUSB device, simplygrasp the endof the USBand remove it
from the slot.
Playing a USB device
The player accepts mostUSB devices such asMP3, DSC, USB- drive, Digital Camcorder etc. The USB in this Player supports
version 1.1/2.0.
1.Insert theUSB device andrepeatedly press DVD/USB to select USB mode. The file manager appears and the first song file of the
first folder plays.
2.Use direction key( and )to select thefile you want to play and press to play.
Note:
If you have differentfile types (photo, music, video) in the USB, make sure you have selected to display all file types ( see "
Displaying and Sorting Files") otherwise, some file types may not display.

For in-car use,this Player ispowered by carbattery through the car(DC) adapter.

Connecting Earphones to the DVD Player
Note: When theearphone is connectedto the PhoneJack ( ),the speaker willbe disconnected.
Notes on DSP
The DSP decodes the digitalaudio signal intostereo dts orDolby digital audiosignal for speakerand earphone playbackafter
converting the signalto analog andamplifying it.
You can use the earphones (optional accessory) for private listening to the audio by connecting them to the earphone jack on the
LCD screen. Usethe speaker VOLUMEknob to adjustthe volume.

Mounting the Screens for In-Car Use
You can mount the screens to the head rest of your car using the provided straps. Depending on the type of your car seat, you can
mount the screensthe following twoways.
(A) Car withheight-adjustable head rest
1.Tug one strap under the two vertical mounting rods.
Repeat fthe stepfor the otherstrap
2.Mount the screento the headrest and tightenthe strap.
3.Repeat steps 1and 2 forthe other screen.
B) Car withfixed head rest.
1.Tug the strap through the two horizontal mounting rods.
2.Mount the screento the headrest and tighenthe strap.

Playing a Disc
1.Make sure thePlayer has thepower either fromthe AC
adapter or DC(car)adapter.
2.Load adisc, following thesesteps:
Open the topcover.
Press the OPEN button to openthe disc cover.
Place a discinto the traywith the labelside facing up.
Close the disccover.
3.Slide POWER to ON to turn onthe power.
Preparation for Playback
Adjusting volume
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change volume.
Stop
Play
Press (on theremote control) or (on the player)to start
play.
You can skip chapters on DVD-Video, tracks on CDs, and
Video CDs.
1.To skip forward,press during play,it skips tothe next
chapter or track.Each press increasesthe numbers ofskips.
2.To skip toprevious chapter ortrack, press .

1.During playback,to fast forward,press and hold (on the
player) to increasethe fast forwardspeed 2x, thenrepeatedly
press to increaseto 4x, 8x,16x, 32x.You can also simply
repeatedly press onthe remote controlto increase the
fast forward speed.
2.During playback,to fast reverse,press and hold (on the
player) to increasethe fast reversespeed 2x ,thenrepeatedly
press to increaseto 4x, 8x,16x, 32x. You can also simply
repeatedly press onthe remote controlto increase the
fast reverse speed.
3.To resume normalplayback, press .
Fast Forward and Reverse
Resume
There are twoways to resumeyour playback wheninterrupted.
Method 1: for short timeinterruption
1.Press STOP ( ), the Player remembers where you stopped.
2.Toresume, press PLAY, the Player will play from where you
stopped.
Method 2: forlonger time interruption
1.Press OPEN toopen the disccompartment door
2.You can turn off the power, and even remove the disc from the
desk, when youturn on thepower and replacethe disc, the
Player will playfrom where youstopped.
1.Press (on theremote or onthe player) totemporarily stop
the playback, " " appears onthe screen.
2.Press again tostop the playback.

1.During playback,repeatedly press SLOW to play at 1/2, 1/4,
1/8, 1/16, 1/32speeds.
2.To resume normalplayback, press .
You can only perform slow motion play in the forward direction.

Mark (Bookmark)
GOTO
You can go directly to a desired chapter and play, or playat a
desired point oftime. Follow thesesteps:
(A)Toplay a specificchapter
1. Press GOTO, use toselect title (TT) and chapter (CH)
and enter thedesired number.
2. Press ENTER to confirm andstart play.
The Mark functionlets you "bookmark"points on thedisc for
playback at alater time. You can store up to 20 bookmark
locations.
Follow these stepsto set upmarker playback:
1.During playback,press MARK onthe remote control.
2.Use toselect a bookmarklocation.
3.When youreach the sceneyou want tomark, press to
confirm.
4.Repeat theabove procedure fora new scene.Youcan have
up to 20bookmarks.

(B)Toplay from aspecific point oftime.
1. Press GOTO twice to moveto the timedisplay and it
changes 00:00:00.

3. Press ENTER to confirm andstart play.
ZOOM
ZOOM lets you enlargethe video image during playback and
pan through theenlarged image.
1.Press ZOOM repeatedly during videoplayback to enlarge
the image tox 2 orx 4 timesof the normalsize.
2.Press ZOOM repeatedly while displaying JPEG file and
Picture CD discto zoom inthe picture at150% or 200%and
zoom out thepicture at 25%or 50%.
Use direction keys( and ) to move around (pan and
scan) the enlargedvideo or picture.
You can perform marker playback at any time by pressing
MARK, and using to select oneof the bookmarks, then

repeatedly.
1.During playback,repeatedly press REPEAT to choose a

options may bedifferent.

Mute
Press MUTE to silence theaudio, press MUTE again to restore
it.
Menu/PBC
During DVD playback,press MENU/PBC to return to the disc's
Start Menu. Ifthe disc doesnot have the Start Menu, or discs
that refuse MENUfunction, appears.
For VCD playback,press MENU/PBC to turn on/off PBC
(Playback Control). IfPBC is enabled,menu of scene's
thumbnails appears, youcan make selectionfor playback.
Repeatedly press LANGUAGE during DVD playbackto change
the language ofthe voice ifthe disc hasmultiple languages.
This function isonly valid forDVDs.
LANGUAGE
Repeatedly press SUBTITLE during DVD playbackto change
the subtitle's languageIf the dischas multiple subtitle's
languages.
This function isonly valid forDVDs.
Subtitle
TITLE
Press TITLE, it takesyou to thevery beginning ofthe title and
play, or to theMENU if it hastitle menu.
DISPLAY
Repeatedly press DISPLAY during playback todisplay various
playback information suchas current title,chapter, track
elapsed time, languagesetc.
L/R
This function ismostly used forkaraoke (sing along)discs, by
repeatedly pressing L/R,you can selectSTEREO, MONO
(Left), MONO (Right),MIX MONO etc.
P/N
This is usedwhen you connectthe Player toa TV and watch
video on theTV. Repeatedly press P/Nto select NTSC, PAL
and AUTO to matchthat of yourTV.
The LCD screendoes not haveNTSC or PAL, so if you watch
video on thePlayer's screen, itis recommended toset to
NTSC which willgive a bettervideo quality. The player will
play both PAL or NTSC DVD's titleseven when thePlayer is
set to NTSC.
Repeatedly press ANGLE during DVD playbackto change the
camera angle ifthe disc hasdifferent camera angles.
This function isonly valid forDVDs.

Playing MP3 and Regular Audio CD

Your MP3 files should be ISO 9660 or JOLIET format.

In most cases,when a MP3or audio discis placed intothe
player, thefirst song fileof the firstfolder plays.
In other cases,the file managerappears. Use directionkeys
( and )to select thesong file andpress to play.

Playing Picture CD
The picture canbe rotated andflipped.
1.During playback,use direction keys( and )to
rotate right 90degrees, left 90degrees, flip verticallyand
horizontally respectively.
Valid Picture
The player canplay both KodakPicture CD thatyou order from
photo processing store,and home-made CDby burning JPEG
files onto aCD-R or CD-RW disc.
In most cases,after the discis placed intothe player,the first
file will beshown.
In other cases,the file managerappears. Use directionkeys
( and )to select thepicture and pressPLAY on the
Player or onthe remote controlto start theslide show
( plays photosautomatically).
To return tofile manager,press MENU/PBC.
To display thumbnail,press " "during playback ofimages.
To start slideshow, press" " duringplayback of images.
Press ZOOM to enlarge thephoto and use and to move
around the enlargedphoto. The slide show functionstops when
you press ZOOM.

You can manually skip to the next picture by pressing , and
to skip tothe previous pictureby pressing .

Displaying files
When a discor USB devicecontains multiple filetypes, you
can select anddisplay only certainfile types.
1. Press STOP and select FILE TYPE and press " " to
confirm.
2. Select thefile type youdo not wantto display andrepeatedly
press " "so the checkmark disappears.
3. Repeat STEP2 to hidethe other filetype.
4. Select EXIT and press " " to getout.
You can list the file in the order according to its type, name or
date.
1. Press STOP and select SORT FILE, press " " to
confirm.
2. Select oneof the sortingcriteria ( bytype, by name
and by date).
3. SelectAscending or Descendingorder for listingthe
files, press " " to confirm.
4. Select EXIT and press " " to getout.
NOTE: If the fileis listed byname, It willfirst list thefile
names with capitalletter in alphabeticalorder,
then files withlower case.

1. Press SETUP on the remotecontrol.
2. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectLanguage Setup
and its sub-menu.
3. Press toconfirm your selection.
