USING YOUR APPLIANCE
BEFORE FIRST USE:
1. Remove the product from the box.
2. Remove any packaging from the
product.
3. Please retain all packaging until you
have checked and counted all the parts
and the contents against the parts list.
4. Your appliance is now ready for normal
use.
MOVING AND PLACING THE UNIT:
1. This unit is equipped with a carry
handle, for easy portability.
2. To move the unit, take hold of the carry
handle and carefully lift the unit up off
the floor. Ensure you have a firm grip
on the handle before attempting to
move the unit, to prevent damage or
malfunction.
CHARGING THE UNIT:
1. To charge up the unit, insert the
included 9V power adaptor Into the
corresponding DC9V jack on the unit’s
control panel and plug it into an active
mains socket.
2. A red indicator light above the adaptor
jack will light up to indicate the unit is
connected to the mains. This indicator
will change from red to green when the
battery is fully charged, to indicate the
unit is ready for normal use.
TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF:
1. To turn the unit on, flick the Power On/
Off switch on the unit’s control panel
to the On position, represented by the
symbol I. The unit’s LED light effects will
light up and the text ‘Hi’ will appear on
the LCD screen to indicate it is turned
on.
2. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the Off position
(represented by the symbol O) while the
speaker is in operation to turn it off.
CONTROLLING THE MASTER VOLUME:
1. To control the volume using the unit’s
control panel, rotate the Volume dial on
the unit’s control panel. Rotate this dial
clockwise to increase the corresponding
output volume level, or counter-
clockwise to decrease it.
2. Alternatively, press the Vol+ and Vol-
buttons on the unit’s remote control to
adjust the volume hands-free or from a
distance.
MUTING THE UNIT:
1. The unit can also be muted altogether.
Press the ‘Mute’ button on the unit’s
remote control to mute output volume.
2. Press this button again while the
volume is muted to un-mute the unit.
Playback will resume on the last
selected settings.
CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES:
1. This unit supports wired connectivity
with external devices such as
microphones or musical instruments.
Use the 2 x Mic jacks on the unit’s
control panel to connect a wired
microphone or instrument to the unit.
NOTE: To ensure proper functionality, check
that the polarities are correct when inserting
the batteries into the microphone.
2. Once the batteries have been inserted.
replace the bottom half of the
microphone and twist it in a clockwise
direction to re-attach it to the main
microphone unit.

ADJUSTING MICROPHONE SETTINGS:
1. Whenever a microphone or amplified
musical instrument is connected or
plugged into the unit, playback and
volume settings for it can be controlled
independently from those of the main
unit.
2. Use the ‘Mic Volume’ dial on the unit’s
control panel to adjust the volume of
an external microphone or amplified
device. Rotate this dial clockwise to
increase the output volume, or counter-
clockwise to decrease it.
MIC PRIORITY:
1. This unit is equipped with a microphone
priority function. When this function is
activated, the unit will automatically
adjust its sound and effects balance so
that the microphone output has priority
whenever one is connected to the unit.
2. Press the ‘Mic Pri’ button on the remote
control or the unit’s control panel to
turn the microphone priority function
on. Press this button again when the
function has been activated to turn it off.
PLUGGING IN EARPHONES:
1. This unit also allows for external
earphones to be plugged in, for a more
personal listening experience.
2. To plug in external earphones, insert
them into the ‘Ear-Mic’ jack on the unit’s
control panel. The audio output will
immediately transfer to the earphones.
CONTROLLING TREBLE/BASS/ECHO
SETTINGS:
1. This unit is equipped with adjustable
treble, bass and echo settings.
2. To adjust the treble, bass or echo levels
of the unit’s audio output, rotate the
corresponding dials on the unit’s control
panel as required. Rotate each of these
dials clockwise to increase the volume
of each setting, or counter-clockwise to
decrease it.
RECORDING SOUND:
1. Playback from any external
amplification device plugged into the
unit can be recorded and stored onto an
external storage device.
2. To record external playback, press the
‘Rec’ button on the unit’s remote control
whenever a microphone or amplified
musical instrument is plugged into the
Mic 1 or Mic 2 jacks on the unit’s control
panel. A sound prompt will be heard
and the unit will automatically begin
capturing sound.
NOTE: The unit has no internal memory.
Ensure an external memory device has been
inserted into the unit before attempting to
record sound; otherwise, this function will
not work.
3. Press the ‘Rec’ button again while
the unit is recording to stop sound
capturing. The recorded sound will
automatically be stored onto the
inserted SD/TF card or USB memory
stick.
NOTE: If both an SD/TF card and a USB
storage device are inserted into the unit at
the same time, the unit will automatically
prioritise the USB device when attempting to
store recorded sound.
4. Press the Play/Pause button on the
remote control once recording has
stopped to play back the recorded audio.

PLAYING MODES:
This speaker can reproduce audio files
through Bluetooth, FM Radio, from a USB
device, from an SD/TF card or from an
external source through the AUX jack,
using the included 3.5mm cable. Press the
corresponding button on the remote control
or the unit’s control panel to select each
corresponding playing mode.
BLUETOOTH MODE:
1. This unit allows for wireless streaming
via Bluetooth. Press the ‘Mode’ button
on the remote control or the unit’s
control panel to open the Bluetooth
function. The text ‘Blue’ will appear on
the unit’s LCD display to indicate this
function has been selected.
2. NOTE: When the unit is first turned on,
it will automatically default to Bluetooth
mode.
3. Once the Bluetooth function is active,
turn on the Bluetooth function in your
external device and look for “A58099”.
4. Select the speaker name and pair it with
your device. If a password is required,
press “0000”.
5. There will be a sound cue to indicate the
speaker has successfully paired with
your device.
6. If pairing is unsuccessful, restart both
devices and repeat the steps above.
7. Select the audio file you wish to play
and press the Play/Pause button on the
source device, the remote control or the
unit’s control panel to start playback.
8. Once the selected media file is playing,
use the media controls on the source
device, the remote control or the unit’s
control panel to adjust playback and
volume.
9. If using the remote control or control
panel to adjust playback, press the Play/
Pause button to start or pause playback,
the Forward/Next button to skip to the
next track on the playlist, or the Back/
Previous button to skip to the previous
track on the playlist.
10. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the Off position
at any time to turn the unit off, or press
the ‘Mode’ button again to choose a
different playing mode.
USB MODE:
1. To play audio files using a USB
connection or external memory device,
first insert the USB connector on the
device or the Micro USB end of a USB
connecting cable (not included) into the
corresponding slot in the unit’s control
panel. If using a cable, insert the other
end into the USB port on your external
device.
2. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the On position
to turn the unit on. The unit’s LED light
effects will light up and the text ‘Hi’ will
appear on the LCD screen to indicate it
is turned on.
3. When the unit is turned on, press the
‘Mode’ button on the remote control
or the unit’s control panel to select the
USB function. The text ‘USB’ will appear
on the unit’s LCD display to indicate this
function has been selected.
4. Once the USB function has been
selected, press the Play/Pause button to
begin playback.
5. Whenever a media file is playing, use
the media controls on the remote
control, the unit’s control panel or the
external device to control playback and
volume.

once the track has started over to skip
to the previous track on the playlist.
9. Short-press the Power On/Off button on
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel at any time to return the unit
to Standby mode, or press any other
button to choose a different playing
mode.
SD/TF CARD FUNCTION:
1. To play audio files using an external SD/
TF memory card, begin by inserting it
into the corresponding slot in the unit’s
control panel, taking care to ensure it is
installed correctly.
2. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the On position
to turn the unit on. The unit’s LED light
effects will light up and the text ‘Hi’ will
appear on the LCD screen to indicate it
is turned on.
3. When the unit is turned on, press the
‘Mode’ button on the remote control or
the unit’s control panel to select the SD/
TF card function. There will be a sound
prompt and the text ‘TF’ will appear on
the unit’s LCD display to indicate this
function has been selected.
4. Once the SD/TF card function has been
selected, the unit will automatically
start reproducing the first audio file on
the external device.
5. Whenever a media file is playing, use
the media controls on the remote
control, the unit’s control panel or the
external device to control playback.
Press the Play/Pause button to start
or pause playback, the Forward/Next
button to skip to the next track on the
playlist, or the Back/Previous button to
skip to the previous track on the playlist.
6. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the Off position
at any time to turn the unit off, or press
the ‘Mode’ button again to choose a
different playing mode.
7. When in the TF/USB mode you can skip
through the tracks five at a time with
each press of the 5+ button. The track
number will be featured on the LED
display
AUX MODE:
1. Use the included 3.5mm AUX cable to
connect external devices to this unit.
Plug one end of the cable into the AUX-
Out jack on the source device, and the
other end into the AUX-IN jacks on the
unit’s control panel.
2. Once the external device has been
plugged into the speaker, short-press
the Power On/Off button on the remote
control or the unit’s control panel to
turn the unit on. The LED effect light on
the unit’s control panel will light up to
indicate the unit is turned on.
3. Press the ‘AUX’ button on the remote
control or the unit’s control panel to
select AUX mode. The text ‘AUX’ will
appear on the unit’s LCD display to show
this mode has been selected.
4. Turn your external device on and use the
media controls to select your desired
media file.
5. Once the selected file is playing, use the
media controls on the external device,
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel to control playback and volume.

6. Short-press the Power On/Off button on
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel at any time to return the unit
to Standby mode, or press any other
button to choose a different playing
mode.
FM RADIO MODE:
1. This unit is equipped with an FM radio
function. Press the ‘Mode’ button on
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel to listen to live music through the
radio. The unit’s LED light effects will
light up and the text ‘Hi’ will appear on
the LCD screen to indicate it is turned
on.
2. Once the radio function has been
activated, use the media controls on
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel to scan and select your desired
radio station. Long-press the Play/
Pause button to launch the auto-scan
function. When this function is activated,
the unit will automatically scan the
frequency and save any accessible radio
stations into memory.
NOTE: Accessible radio stations will be
stored in the order that they are accessed:
the first accessible radio station along
the frequency will be saved to ‘P 01’, the
following one to ‘P 02’, and so on, up to a
total of 14 memory slots.
3. Long-press the Play/Pause button on
the remote control or the unit’s control
panel while the auto-scan function is in
operation to cancel it. The unit will stay
tuned in to the most recently scanned
point in the frequency.
4. Once the automatic scan process is
complete and all the preset slots are
filled, short press the Back/Previous
or Forward/Next buttons to cycle
through and tune into the available radio
stations.
5. Long-press the Play/Pause button
again when the radio is tuned to a
radio station to re-start the manual or
automatic scanning process. Repeat this
process as many times as necessary
until you find your desired radio station.
6. Flick the Power On/Off switch on the
unit’s control panel to the Off position
at any time to turn the unit off, or press
the ‘Mode’ button again to choose a
different playing mode.
THE REPEAT FUNCTION:
1. This unit features a repeat function,
which allows for one or multiple audio
files to be played on loop.
2. Press the ‘Repeat’ button on the unit’s
control panel to activate the repeat
function. Press this button once to loop
the current track once, or press it again
to repeat all the tracks on the current
playlist or selection. The text ‘ONE’
or ‘ALL’ will be displayed in the unit’s
control panel to indicate the Repeat
function has been activated.

TROUBLESHOOTING THE APPLIANCE

The unit will not

Wrong audio source

Source device not
turned on. Turn the source device on.
Unit not turned on. Turn the speaker on by pressing the On/Off
button on the remote control or the unit’s
control panel.
Volume is set too
low. Adjust the output volume using the Previous/
Vol- and Next/Vol+ buttons on the unit’s
control panel.
Audio file is paused. Press the Play/Pause button on the unit’s
control panel to resume playback.
Sound is
distorted. Volume level is set
too high. Adjust the output volume using the media
controls on the source device or the Previous/
Vol- and Next/Vol+ buttons on the unit’s
control panel.
Treble/Bass/Echo
levels not adjusted
correctly.
Adjust the treble/bass/echo levels using the
corresponding dial on the unit’s control panel.
The unit becomes
warm after
extended play at
high volume.
This is normal. Turn the unit off for some time or lower the
volume.
The microphone
is not working /
no sound on the
microphone.
Microphone not
plugged in. Plug the microphone into the Mic jack on the
unit’s control panel.
Line-In mode not
selected. Select Line-In mode by pressing the ‘Mode’
button on the remote control or the unit’s
control panel until the text ‘Line’ is displayed
on the LCD screen.
No batteries on
wireless microphone. Insert 2 x AA batteries into the wireless
microphone as detailed in the ‘Connecting
External Devices’ section.
Wireless microphone
not turned on Flick the On/Off switch on the main body of
the wireless microphone to the ‘On’ position to
turn it on.
There is an echo
when using the
microphone.
Echo level too high. Adjust the Echo levels using the corresponding
dial on the unit’s control panel.

WARNING:
Do not attempt to open any part of the power adaptor or plug.
WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
(Power adapters only)
Never open the power adapter, you risk getting an electric shock.
Only use the power adapter that is supplied with your product.
You must always connect the power adapter to the product before connecting to the mains
power supply.
The power adapter must be used indoors only, and must not be subjected to damp
conditions.
The power adapter does not have any user serviceable parts.
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it from the mains – and then cut it off of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.

CLEANING AND CARE
1. Clean the unit with a soft, damp
cloth. Never use chemicals or hard
abrasives.
2. Keep this unit away from wet or damp
surroundings.
3. Store in a clean, dry place.
4. Do not expose the unit to extremely
high or low temperatures as this will
shorten the life of electronic devices,
destroy the battery and distort certain
plastic parts.
5. Don’t dispose of the unit in fire as it
will result in an explosion.
6. Don’t expose the unit to contact
with sharp objects as this will cause
scratches and damage.
7. Don’t let the unit fall to the floor. The
internal circuit might get damaged.
8. Don’t attempt to disassemble the unit
yourself, as it may get damaged.
CAUTION: Never leave the speaker
in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or
dusty places. Keep the speaker away
from heating appliances and sources of
electrical noise, such as fluorescent lamps
and motors.
RECYCLING
DISPOSAL OF THE UNIT:
Appliances bearing the symbol shown here may not be disposed of in domestic
rubbish.
You are required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances like this
separately.
