It is important that this instruction manual should be retained with
the appliance player for future reference. These warnings have been

installation or use.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
BEFORE FIRST USE:
• Remove the product from the box.
• Remove any packaging from the
product.
• Please retain all packaging until you
have checked and counted all the parts
and the contents against the parts list.
• Your appliance is now ready for normal
use.
ADJUSTING THE STRAP:
This unit is fitted with an adjustable carry
strap, for easy portability. This strap can
be adjusted or laid flat against the unit, if
required.
1. To adjust the size of the strap, unclip
it from the press stud and loosen or
tighten it as required.
2. Once the strap has been adjusted to the
desired size, clip it back onto the press
stud to secure it into place.
POWERING ON AND CHARGING THE
BATTERY:
This unit is equipped with a rechargeable
battery, and can be charged through the
included DC5V/USB charging port.
1. Insert the micro-USB end of the
included USB cable into the DC5V port
at the back of the speaker and the other
into a compatible mains adaptor or USB
port. A red LED light will come on in
the unit’s control panel to indicate the
device is charging.
NOTE: It’s recommended to fully charge the
battery before first use.
2. Once the device has finished charging,
the red light will turn off.
3. When the device has finished charging,
unplug the USB cable from the unit.
4. If charging through a USB adaptor,
take care to switch the mains outlet off
before removing the cable.
5. If charging through a laptop or similar
device, take care to unmount the USB
cable before removing it from the unit.
To unmount the USB cable, use the
device management menu on your
laptop or computer.
TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF:
1. Long-press the Power On/Off button to
turn the unit on. There will be a sound
prompt and the LED indicator on the
unit’s control panel will light up to show
the unit is turned on. There will be
another sound prompt a few seconds
later to indicate the unit is ready for
Bluetooth pairing.
2. Long-press the On/Off button again
while the unit is in operation to turn it
off. There will be a sound prompt and
the LED indicator on the unit’s control
panel will go out to show the unit has
been turned off.
BLUETOOTH PAIRING:
1. To connect the unit to Bluetooth, start by
long-pressing the Power On/Off button
to turn it on. There will be a sound
prompt and the LED indicator on the
unit’s control panel will light up to show
the unit is turned on.
2. There will be another sound prompt a
few seconds later to indicate the unit is
ready for Bluetooth pairing.
3. Once the second prompt sounds,
turn on the Bluetooth function in your
external device and look for “A58086”.
4. Select the speaker name and pair it with
your device. If a password is required,
press “0000”.
5. There will be a sound prompt to indicate
the speaker has successfully paired with
the source device.
6. If pairing is unsuccessful, restart both
devices and repeat the steps above.

7. Long-press the On/Off button again
while the unit is in operation to turn it
off. There will be a sound prompt and
the LED indicator on the unit’s control
panel will go out to show the unit has
been turned off.
UNPAIRING FROM BLUETOOTH:
1. Long-press the Bluetooth button when
the unit is paired to a smart device to
undo the pairing. There will be a sound
prompt and the LED indicator on the
unit’s control panel will rapidly flash
red and blue to show the unit has been
disconnected from Bluetooth.
2. To re-establish the pairing or pair the
unit with a different Bluetooth-enabled
device, simply repeat the steps outlined
in the ‘Bluetooth Pairing’ section above.
AUX MODE:
1. To play music from an external device
using AUX mode, plug one end of the
included AUX cable into the AUX jack
at the front of the unit, and the other
end into the corresponding jack on the
external device.
2. Long-press the Power On/Off button to
turn the unit on. There will be a sound
prompt and the LED indicator on the
unit’s control panel will light up to show
the unit is turned on.
3. Once turned on, the unit will
automatically go into AUX mode. There
will be a sound prompt to indicate this
mode has been activated, and audio
from the connected external device will
automatically begin to play if applicable.
4. Once the selected media file is playing,
use the media controls on the unit’s
control panel or the external device to
control playback and volume.
5. Long-press the On/Off button again
while the unit is in operation to turn it
off. There will be a sound prompt and
the LED indicator on the unit’s control
panel will go out to show the unit has
been turned off.
ADJUSTING PLAYBACK VOLUME:
1. Press the Vol – and Vol + buttons on the
unit’s control panel while the unit is in
operation to adjust playback volume.
2. Press the Vol – button to decrease
output volume, or the Vol + button to
increase it.
NOTE: There will be sound prompts to
indicate when minimum and maximum
playback volumes have been reached.
PLAYBACK CONTROLS:
1. Use the Vol - / Back/Previous, Volume +
/ Forward/Next and Bluetooth/Hands-
Free/Play/Pause buttons to control
playback when the unit is in operation.
2. Long-press the Volume + / Forward/
Next button to skip forward to the next
track on a playlist, or the Vol - / Back/
Previous button to skip back to the
start of a track. Long-press the Back/
Previous button again once the track
has started over to skip to the previous
track on the playlist.
3. Press the Bluetooth/Hands-Free/Play/
Pause button when audio is playing
to stop or pause playback. Press this
button again when playback is stopped
to resume it.
ANSWERING CALLS HANDS-FREE:
1. This device is equipped with a built-in
mic, which allows you to make and
receive hands-free calls.
2. Press the Bluetooth/Hands-Free/Play/
Pause button when a call is incoming to
answer it hands-free. The sound from
your call will automatically be redirected
to your speaker.
3. Alternatively, long-press this button
when a call is incoming to reject it.
Whenever the call has interrupted
playback, the speaker will automatically
resume playing the most recent audio
file.
4. Press the Bluetooth/Hands-Free/Play/
Pause button while in a call to hang up.

TROUBLESHOOTING THE APPLIANCE
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The unit will not
turn on. (no power) Low battery Connect the unit to a USB port or USB-
compatible mains adaptor for charging.
No sound. Volume not
adjusted. Adjust the volume level using the media
controls on the source device or the unit’s
control panel.
Wrong audio
source selected. Select the correct audio source.
Source device not
turned on. Turn the source device ON.
Speaker not
turned on. Turn the speaker ON by pressing the Power
On/Off button on the unit’s control panel.
Volume is set too
low. Adjust the output volume using the media
controls on the source device or the unit’s
control panel.
Audio file is
paused. Press the Bluetooth/Hands-Free/Play/Pause
button on the unit’s control panel or the
corresponding button on the source device to
resume playback.
Sound is distorted. Volume level is
set too high. Adjust the output volume using the media
controls on the source device or the unit’s
control panel.
Low battery Connect the unit to a USB port or USB-
compatible mains adaptor for charging.
The unit becomes
warm after
extended play at
high volume.
This is normal. Turn the unit off for some time or lower the
volume.
Calls are not
coming through to
the speaker.
Bluetooth not
activated or unit
not paired.
Make sure the Bluetooth functionality is
activated on the source device.
Make sure the unit is paired to the source
device.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING:
Do not attempt to open any part of the power adaptor or plug.
(Power adapters only)
Never open the power adapter, you risk getting an electric shock.
Only use the power adapter that is supplied with your product.
You must always connect the power adapter to the product before connecting to the mains
power supply.
The power adapter must be used indoors only, and must not be subjected to damp
conditions.
The power adapter does not have any user serviceable parts.
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it from the mains – and then cut it off of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.

CLEANING AND CARE
1. Clean the unit with a soft, damp
cloth. Never use chemicals or hard
abrasives.
2. Keep this unit away from wet or damp
surroundings.
3. Store in a clean, dry place.
4. Do not expose the unit to extremely
high or low temperatures as this will
shorten the life of electronic devices,
destroy the battery and distort certain
plastic parts.
5. Don’t dispose of the unit in fire as it
will result in an explosion.
6. Don’t expose the unit to contact
with sharp objects as this will cause
scratches and damage.
7. Don’t let the unit fall to the floor. The
internal circuit might get damaged.
8. Don’t attempt to disassemble the unit
yourself, as it may get damaged.
CAUTION: Never leave the speaker
in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or
dusty places. Keep the speaker away
from heating appliances and sources of
electrical noise, such as fluorescent lamps
and motors.

DISPOSAL OF THE UNIT:
Appliances bearing the symbol shown here may not be disposed of in domestic
rubbish.
You are required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances like this
separately.
