. Keep battery box away from liquids and DO NOT submerge.
. DO NOT insert battery into the battery box if it or your hands are cunently exposed to moisture or rain.
. Keep battery box away from extreme temperatures.
. Always wearthe appropriate PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE)when working near batteries.This
includes gloves and eye protection.
. When working with Lead acid batteries remove alljewelry including watches and rin9s.
. L,se insulated tools to ensure prevention ofa battery short should the metaltool make.ontactwith the
battery term ina ls.
. Ensure battery is charged in a well ventilated area. Explosive gases may escape from the battery during
charging. Never charge a battery in a closed offspace or in an area without ventilation.
. Keep battery box awayfrom open flames or sparks near a battery or chargerwhilst charging as gases may
cause explosion,
. DO NOT smoke near battery box.
. Keep other ignition sources away from the charging battery at all times.
. DO NOT attempt to disassemble the battery box asthis could cause electric shock, explosion orfire.
. Warranty will be void ifthere is any attempt to disassemble, modify or perform unapproved repairs to the
battery box.
. Battery box is not iniended to be installed or operated by people (including children) with reduced
physicalor mentalcapabilities, orthose who are underthe influence ofdrugs or alcohol.
. Ensure correct wires are attached to the appropriate battery terminals.
. lncorrect installation could result in damage to the box orvoid the warranty

lnstalling your Battery
Screwthe plastic strap support to the side ofbattery box using the screws and supports provided.
Choose the right size and capacity batteryforyour needs ensuring to pay attention to the internal
dimensions ofthe battery box.
Ensure circuit breaker switch to the "OFF"position.
Remove battery box lid and insert battery.
Connectthe batteryterminals from the lid to the battery ensuring to connect the red cable to battery
positive (+) terminal &the black(able to batterynegative G) terminal.
Once lid is on and terminals connected, switch the battery to"RESET"using the circuit breaker switch and
test voltage using the voltmeter on the battery box.
lfthe voltmeter illuminates and displays voltage, battery box lid can then be secured.
Ensure battery box lid is evenly and completely shut.
Feed the strap through the plastic strap supports on the side ofthe box and connect it over the top of the lid.
Adjustments will need to be made to the strap for a perfectft.
Plug in devices to be powered using battery
Charging your Battery
You can re charge your battery by either using the battery terminals on the outside ofthe battery box or
through the 50A heavy duty connectors.
Using a Battery Charger
We recommend using a Voliage intelligent batiery chargerwhich willensure safe charging and
longevity ofyoor battery. Start charging by connecting the red output cable to the red terminal
(posiiive +) and the black output cable to the blackterminal (negative -).

Using a Solar Panel
Most solar panels can be used to charge your battery and can be connected by using the battery
terminals orthe50A heavy duty Anderson connectors. Simply set up your solar panelin direct
sunlight (awayfrom any shade)and directly connectyour output leads to the battery box.lf using
battery clamps connect the red output cable to the red terminal (positive) and the black output
cable to the black terminal (negative).
Checking Battery Voltage
. Connect batteryto battery box, make sure theterminals are properlyfitted.
. Torn the RESET/OFF switch to the"RESET" position.
. Display willnow showthe voltage being output bythe battery box.
