Thank you for choosing our Alfresia Aluminium 3 x 4m Pergola with Grey
Canopy. Please read this user manual carefully and keep it for future
reference. If you need any assistance, please contact our customer service
team on the details provided on the back page of this manual.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
 Keep all flame and heat sources at least 5 meters away from the
fabric. The canopy is not fire proof.
 Fires, cooking, smoking, naked flame and storage of cooking
apparatus including barbeques is not permitted inside the
Pergola.
 The Pergola Canopy is designed to provide shade only. Do not
use in strong wind and rain. Wind and rain can damage the
Pergola and could result in injury to you and others
 Familiarise yourself with the instructions and check all
components for damage before erection and dismantling
 Erecting the Pergola will require working from height. Use
appropriate equipment, safe working practices and do not work
from height if you feel unwell.
 At least two people are required to erect and dismantle the
Pergola. Erection alone could cause injury to persons or damage
to the Pergola or property
 Be careful to avoid pinching your hands or fingers in any of the
parts during construction.
 Do not use excessive force while erecting or dismantling the
Pergola as this could cause damage
 Always secure the Pergola with the pegs after assembly for
stability
 Always use the product for its intended purpose. Misuse of the
product could cause injury
Assembly Notes
 Assemble on a soft, clean surface to avoid damaging or marking the
pieces
 Do not use if any parts are missing, damaged or worn
 Do not use if any of the fixings or fittings are not secure
 Always place the product on a flat, level surface before use

Assembly Instructions
IMPORTANT: Do not use excessive force at any part of set up. Care
must be taken not to overtighten the screws as this will damage the Pergola.
1. Build the four corner posts (1 x A, 2 x B & 1 x C) by securing each post
onto the foot (S) using the small screws (4 x N with supplied washer
per foot). Add the cap (R) to the top:
2. To build the side pieces, join parts D & E with the “C” shaped plate (T)
and secure using the long screws (4 x K with supplied washer) and
bolts (4 x M). Repeat the step a second time to build the other side
piece.

3. Insert the decorative end caps (O) into each of the roof bars, end
pieces and side pieces (2 x D&E, 2 x F, 2 x G, 1x H).
4. Build one side of the frame from two corner posts (1 x B and 1 x C)
and a side piece D&E. The side piece (D&E) should be secured to the
lower set of holes at the top of each post. The posts should be
positioned so that the higher set of holes face outwards from the
frame. Secure using the medium screws (8 x L with supplied washer).

5. Turn the previously built side over and attach the end pieces (2 x G) to
each of the corner posts. Ensure the captive canopy runners on the
underside of the end pieces (G) are both positioned on the end which
is to be secured to the frame. Secure the end pieces (G) using the
medium screws (4 x L with supplied washer per side).
6. Attach the remaining corner posts (1 x B and 1 x A) and side piece (1 x
D&E) to construct the full frame. Secure using the medium screws (16
x L with supplied washer).

7. Attach the roof bars (2 x F, 1 x H) to the frame using the long screws
(6 x K with supplied washer). The centre roof bar should be positioned
so that the pull cord emerges on the opposite side of the frame to the
captive canopy runners on the underside of the end pieces (G).
8. To attach the canopy (P) to the pergola, feed a pair of canopy poles
(1 x I & 1 x J) through the canopy runners on the underside of the end
pieces (G). One canopy pole should be fed through per side. Next feed
the poles into the wallets sewn into the canopy (P) as show in the
diagram below. Push the canopy poles together through the canopy
runner on the underside of the centre roof bar (H). Repeat this step for
the remaining canopy poles (4 x I & 4 x J) to hang the canopy from the
frame.

9. Adjust the position of the corner posts as necessary to ensure that the
frame of the pergola is square and that the canopy slides freely on the
canopy runners. Secure the feet of each corner post to the ground
using the pegs (8 x Q) provided. The canopy can be extended and
retracted by gently pulling on the attached cord. When the canopy has
been positioned as desired the excess cord should be wound around
the cleat on the corner post (A).
Care & Maintenance
 Periodically check that all of the screws and fixings are secure and
tighten if necessary
 Sponge Clean the frame with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild
detergent.
 Clean the fabric according to the care label instructions, hang and
leave to dry naturally. Dirt and debris can be removed gently with a soft
brush.
Storage
This is a temporary structure and is designed to be disassembled and stored
when not required to preserve the finish of the materials.
When not in use, disassemble the Pergola and store in a cool, dry place
away from direct sunlight.

Guarantee
Our products are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
Products that develop a fault within this period are covered by our warranty and we
will replace defective parts, or where not available the whole product. The warranty
does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful
damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as
recommended by us, failure to follow our instructions, any alteration or repair carried
out without our approval or has been the subject of commercial use. Your statutory
rights remain unaffected, in particular any rights you have under the Consumer
Rights Act 2015.
If you have a problem with your product within this warranty period please contact
our customer services team.
In the event of changes to the specification of a product and we are not able to
replace parts, we will replace the whole product within the 2 year guarantee period
For products that fall outside of the 2 year guarantee, we will endeavor to provide
spare parts to purchase for as many of the replaceable parts as possible, but cannot
foresee specification changes or upgrades to products or parts outside of the initial 2
year period.
