PP30 Filtration Clean & Check

All tasks should be performed after every 140 run hours
Check/Replace: Filter bags

1. CAUTION Before opening up the filter make sure that you are in a well ventilated
area and are wearing proper PPE
2. Disconnect all gas lines, air servo wire, and pressure tubes connected to the filter
3. Remove bag slapper handle
4. Remove the filter lid and filter vessel

5. Remove the bag slapper
6. Undo wing nuts and remove old bags and rings
7. Put bags into waste disposal
8. Take new bags and coat inside with CCC particulate

9. Put bags back on with rings and wing nuts
10. Install bag slapper filter vessel and filter lid and all gas and air lines
Replace: Polishing Filter
1. Remove Vband clamp and pull out old polishing filter
2. Check the metal mesh flame arrestor is not dirty, clean if necessary with alcohol
3. Install with new filter
Check basepan for condensate or particulate build up

1. Remove the 4” sani clamp and cap at the base of the basepan
a. Make sure to keep a pan below to catch any condensation that might have built
up in the basepan
2. Use a flashlight to check for soot or char build up inside the basepan
3. If there is material in the base pan- scrape it out and dispose of it as waste
Cleaning systems, reactor to filtration
Set up tasks
1. Empty Coolant system by opening Empty Valve
2. Remove all 1.5” sani clamps from coolant system to PGHX
3. Remove 6” sani clamp from base
4. Remove bolts at Cyclone to PGHX corrugate tube
5. Disconnect all electrical connections
6. Remove Cyclone Collection Can (CCC) and Cyclone to PG HX corrugated tube
Clean cyclone insides from base with scraping bar
1. Using scraping bar clean the inside

Clean CYC to PG HX corrugated tube
1. Using scraping bar clean the inside
Clean PGHX
7. Set up PGHX Cleaning Heater
a. Place base support on a flat surface
b. Sani clamp PGHX Cleaning Heater to base support with 6” gasket and sani
clamp
c. Confirm outlet supports 120V and nameplate wattage of heater
8. Add a cup of 90% isopropyl alcohol
9. Place PGHX on top of PGHX Cleaning Heater
10. Tighten all san connections
11. Bolt cap to gas in port on PGHX

a. Make sure there's a gasket
12. Turn PGHX Cleaning Heater to 150 setting on the dial
13. Let sit for 1 hour
a. CAUTION: PGHX Metal will get hot and can burn you.
14. After the 1 hour try plugging PGHX motor and sensors in. keep the wires away from any
metal surface so they dont melt
15. Press the PGHX button on the DSE
16. If the PGHX moves and gets stuck try to press the PGHX button a few time to get it to
move up and down
a. The PGHX motor can overheat if this is done to much so if its sticking alot try
letting the PGHX cleaning heater run another 20 mins and try again
17. Once PGHX is actuating fully shut off the PGHX Cleaning Heater and let the PGHX cool
down for 30 mins
18. Once cool, undo the san clamp and move PGHX back to basepan.
19. Secure all sani connections and fill up coolant system
