About This Publication This manual provides detailed installation instructions for installing, using the
operator handle, energizing, and maintaining your CENTERLINE® 1500
motor control center (MCC).
This manual is intended for engineers or technicians that are directly involved
in the installation, connection, energizing, and maintenance of the
CENTERLINE 1500 motor control center.
If you do not have a basic understanding of the CENTERLINE 1500 motor
control center, contact your local Allen-Bradley distributor or Rockwell
Automation sales representative for information on available training courses

Chapter 1
General Information
This manual pertains to the CENTERLINE® 1500, 600 A medium voltage
motor control center. This MCC structure provides one complete medium
voltage controller unit.
The installation section provides instructions for both the standard enclosure
type and the arc resistant structure type (ArcShield™).
The product Bulletin numbers that are primarily covered by this document are:
• 1512A 600 A FVNR controller
• 1512AT 600 A Transformer Feeder
This document can be used as a reference guide for the following Bulletin
numbers:
• 1512DM 600 A VFD Input Contactor Units
• 1512DO 600 A VFD Output Contactor Units
• 1512M 600 A VFD Output Bypass Starter
• 1562E 600 A MV SMC Flex Solid-State
Reduced Voltage Starter Input Section
• 1912B 600 A Synchronous Controller (Stator)
• 1912L 600 A Brushless Synchronous Controller (Stator)
Starter Identification A nameplate is attached to the right-side flange of the structure (see Figure 1).
See the nameplate for information such as series number, section number,
NEMA enclosure type, unit ratings, and bus ratings.
IMPORTANT This document is to be used for all Bulletin 1512 and Bulletin 1912 unit
types, including arc resistant (ArcShield) units. See Appendix A, Appendix B,
and Appendix C for specific ArcShield information.
ATTENTION: Refer to the information in Appendix A, Appendix B, and
Appendix C to correctly install and maintain ArcShield arc resistant units.
Failure to do so may negate the arc resistant benefits that are provided by
ArcShield,exposing personnel to risk of serious injury or death.
