Mean Time Between Failure
(MTBF)
MTBF is calculated according to statistical device failures, and indicates the
reliability of a device. It is the statistical representation of the likelihood of a
unit to fail; it does not necessarily represent the life of a product. An MTBF
value of, for example, 1,000,000 hr means that statistically one unit fails every
100 hours if 10,000 units are installed in the field. However, the running time
of individual failed units cannot be determined.

The DC/DC converter is suitable for applications in an industrial environment
and in a residential, commercial, and light industry environment without any
restrictions.
The DC/DC converter has two converters with two different switching
frequencies, which are included.
