Intended use
The unit is intended to generate hot air in closed, dry rooms. The
electricamesimulatorconveysalogreatmosphere.Othertypes
ofuseormodicationsoftheunitarenotregardedasintendedand
pose serious danger of accidents. The manufacturer is not liable for
any damages caused by any use other than for the intended purpose.
The unit is designed for use in private households and not suitable for
commercial purposes.

for toddlers and children!
• This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above andpersons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
ofexperience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instructionconcerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they areolder than 8 years and
supervised.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away
unless continuouslysupervised.
Attention! Risk of explosion!
Do not operate the electric unit in explosion
en- dangered environments in which there

Avoid danger to life by electric shock
Do not install the appliance immediately
below a socket-outlet.
Do not use this heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming
pool.
Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer,
separate remote-control system or any other device
that switches the heater on automatically, since a
reriskexistsiftheheateriscoveredorpositioned
incorrectly.
Do not operate the unit with a damaged power line
or damaged power plug.
Attention! Damaged power lines represent danger
to life by electric shock.
• Check the power lines regularly for damages and
aging.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its serviceagent or similarly
qualiedpersonsinordertoavoidahazard.
• Protect the power line against sharp edges,
mechanical strain and hot surfaces.
• Only operate the unit with an earthed outlet.
• Do not operate the unit outdoors. Make sure that
the power line never gets wet ordamp during
operation.
• Do not switch on the unit if you notice visible
damages (e.g. tears or cracks) or if you assume

that the unit is damaged (e.g. after having fallen
down).
• In case of any unusual circumstances,
immediately unplug the unit.
• Only let manufacturer, its service agent or
similarlyqualiedpersonsconductrepairsonthe
unit.
• Note: The lights in this product are part of
theameeffectsystem.Theyarenotsuitable
forhousehold room illumination.
• Unplugtheelectricreplacewhennotinusefora
long period of time.

Attention! Danger of burning!
Please be aware that the heat-radiatingsur
faces can achieve temperatures exceeding
50 °C. Ensure that the unit isswitched off and
cooled-down before you touch it.
CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become
very hot and cause burns. Particularattention has to
be given where children and vulnerable people are
present.
Wear protective gloves for all maintenance
work on the unit. The edges of the electric
replacecanbeverysharp!
• Make sure that children or pets are not
endangered by the operation of the unit.
• ATTENTION! Never operate the unit using exter-
nal switchgear such as a time switch. Never con-
nect the unit to an electric circuit which is regularly
switched on and off by amechanism. Injuries as
well as damage to the product could result.
• Disconnect the power supply by pulling the power
plug out of the outlet. Never pullon the power line.
• Do not install or operate the unit in vehicles.
• Pull the power plug before moving the unit to a
different location.
• Pull the power plug before you clean the unit.
• Store the unit in a dry, dust- and vibration-free

place. Avoid damage to the unit.
Avoid danger to life by environmental
effects.
WARNING! Please make sure that the
unit is not covered with towels, curtains or similar
objects. Otherwise there is danger of overheating.
Therefore, always pay attention that the ventilation
slots are kept clear.
• Do not operate the unit in rooms in which damp-
ness can develop or in which it cancome in con-
tact with water.
Before operation
ATTENTION! Do not install the appliance
immediately below a socket-outlet.
Attention! Fire hazard!
Please make sure that the distance between
thefrontoftheelectricreplaceinsertand
ammableobjectssuchasfurniture,curtainsor
suchlike is at least 1 m.
Always place the unit on a level, dry surface.
ATTENTION! Please pay attention that you do not
pinch the power line and protect it against sharp

edges. Damaged power lines increase the risk of an
electric shock.
The voltage of the power source must comply with
thespecicationsonthenameplateoftheheater.
Devices marked with 230 V can also be operated
with 220 V. Before operation it is imperative to make
sure that the installation location corresponds to the
requirements of the safety instructions.
• Insert the power plug into an earthed outlet.
Note: Please observe that the power plug must still be able to be
reachedafterinstallationoftheelectricreplaceinsert.
Avoid the power line from becoming a trip hazard.
Therefore, always run it away from the unit from the
back.
Your electric replace insert is now ready for operation.
Operation
Note:Whentheheateristurnedonforthersttime,aslight,
harmless odour can develop. This odour develops due to the heating
upoftheinnerheatingelements.Providesufcientventilation.
Switching ame simulator on / off
Note:Youcanalsoswitchontheamesimulatorwhenyouarenot
using the heating function.
Note:Powerconsumptionoftheelectricreplaceinsertwith
illumination switched on but without heating function amounts to

approx. 2 W.
• Open the cover 3 by opening it up towards the front.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position I.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position 0 if you would like to turn off
theamesimulator.
• Close the cover 3.
Using the dimmer function
Note: Yourelectricreplaceinserthasadimmerfunction.Withityou
canadjustthebrightnessoftheamesimulator.
Note: Youcanonlyusethedimmerfunctionwhentheamesimulator
isswitchedon(see‘Switchingamesimulatoron/off’).
• Open the cover 3 by opening it up towards the front.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position I.
• Turn the dimmer 9 clockwise to increase, or anti clockwise to
reduce,thebrightnessoftheamesimulator.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position 0 if you would like to turn off
theamesimulator.
• Close the cover 3.
Switching heating function on / off
Note: Theelectricreplaceinserthasoneheatingstage.
• Open the cover 3 by opening it up towards the front.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position I.
• Set the switch 7 for heating in to position I.
• Make sure to leave cover 3 open in order to avoid becoming hot.

exceeding 50 °C. Make sure that the unit is switched
off and cooled off before you touch it.

Therefore, always pay attention that the ventilation

• Set the switch 7 to position 0 in order to turn of the heating
function.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position 0 if you would like to turn off
theamesimulator.
• Close the cover 3.
Using the thermostat
Note: Yourelectricreplaceinsertisequippedwithathermostat.You
can therefore consistently maintain a preset room temperature by
means of automatic on and off switching.
• Open the cover 3 by opening it up towards the front.
• Turn the thermostat control 8 clockwise or anti clockwise until you
hear a clicking sound.
Note: The clicking sound signalizes the current room temperature.
• Set the switch 7 for heating in to position I.
• Make sure to leave cover 3 open in order to avoid becoming hot.

• Now turn the thermostat control 8 anti clockwise for lower and
clockwise for higherroom temperature.
• Now the heating thermostat function begins automatically.
• As soon as the set room temperature is reached, the heating
functionofyourelectricreplaceinsertswitchesoffautomatically.
• As soon as the set room temperature falls short, the heating
functionofyourelectricreplaceinsertswitchesonautomatically.
• Set the switch 7 to position 0 in order to turn of the heating
function.
• Set the ON / OFF switch 6 to position 0 if you would like to turn off
theamesimulator.
• Close the cover 3.
Maintenance and cleaning

Before conducting cleaning or maintenance
work please pull the power plug out of the

outlet.
Attention! Danger of burning!
It is imperative to let the unit completely cool
off before any work is done on it.
CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become
very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to
be given where children and vulnerable people are
present.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they are older than 8 years and
supervised.
Cleaning the housing
• In no case should aggressive or corrosive cleaning agents be
used. Otherwisedamage to the product could result.
• Clean the housing and glass with a slightly dampened cleaning
cloth only.
• Clean the ventilation slots regularly and thoroughly, so that no dust
can accumulate.
WARNING! Only let the unit be repaired by the man-
ufacturer,itsserviceagentorsimilarlyqualiedper-
sons using only original spare parts. This ensures
that the safety of your unit is maintained.

Disposal
All the packaging and packaging material consist of
environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of
in local containers.
The symbol above and on the product means that the
product is classed as Electrical or Electronic equipment and
should not be disposed with other household or commercial
waste at the end of its useful life.
The Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

available recovery and recycling techniques to minimise the impact

Atmosphäre. Eine anderweitige Verwendung und Veränderungen
am Gerät fallen nicht unter die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
und stellen eine ernsthafte Unfallgefahr dar. Der Hersteller haftet
